Sliding member and bearing
A sliding member includes a metallic substrate, a porous layer formed on a surface of the metallic substrate, and a sliding layer that covers the porous layer. The porous layer is made of a metal itself or an alloy composition. The sliding layer is made of a lead-free resin composition. The resin composition consists of a pitch-based carbon fiber and a fluororesin, and assuming weight of the resin composition as 100, more than 10 weight % and 35 weight % or less of the pitch-based carbon fiber is contained.
Sensor cap nut and sensor cap
A nut is used with being fixed to a sensor cap. The sensor cap is attached to an outer ring of a bearing in a wheel bearing device of an automobile. The sensor cap includes a sensor holder for holding a magnetic sensor. The nut is made of steel, and has a screw portion in which a bolt is screwed to attach the magnetic sensor to the sensor cap. A surface of the nut is coated with a zinc-nickel alloy plating layer with a nickel eutectic ratio of 8 to 18%.
AN ALUMINUM ALLOY CAGE AND A PROCESSING METHOD OF THE ALUMINUM ALLOY CAGE
An aluminum alloy cage and a method for producing the same. The aluminum alloy cage has a shot-peened aluminum alloy cage substrate and a coating formed on the surface of shot-peened aluminum alloy cage substrate, the coating including at least one nickel containing layer. The aluminum alloy cage has high fatigue strength, excellent corrosion resistance, high surface hardness and low surface friction coefficient, and exhibits excellent surface lubricity and wear resistance.
High-design sliding member
A sliding member includes, on a surface of a metal substrate, a surface-treated layer including a zinc-electroplated layer, a chemical conversion-treated layer, and a topcoat layer sequentially stacked on the metal substrate. The chemical conversion-treated layer includes chromium and oxygen. The topcoat layer includes at least one material selected from the group consisting of a silica compound, acrylic resin, polyurethane resin, epoxy resin, phenol resin, and melamine resin. A method of manufacturing the sliding member includes a step of forming, on a surface of the chemical conversion-treated layer, the topcoat layer including at least one material selected from the group consisting of a silica compound, acrylic resin, polyurethane resin, epoxy resin, phenol resin, and melamine resin.
Self-repair bearing and methods
Disclosed herein a bearing that comprises a base, made of a metallic base material. The base comprises a cylindrical outer surface, a cylindrical inner surface that is opposite the cylindrical outer surface, and a central channel defined by the cylindrical inner surface and extending through the base. The bearing also comprises a selective transfer material embedded in the base. The selective transfer material is different than the metallic base material and is configured to release from the base in response to frictionally-induced pressure acting on the base.
Wheel bearing arrangement having a coating
A wheel bearing arrangement for a motor vehicle includes a wheel hub. The wheel hub is connected to a wheel flange. A multi-row rolling element bearing is mounted on the wheel hub. The bearing has an outer ring and at least one inner ring which is axially prestressed by a collar of the wheel hub. A zinc flake coating is formed on at least part of the wheel bearing arrangement to improve corrosion protection.
