Systems for a turbocharger
Various methods and systems are provided for a radial turbocharger. In one example, the turbocharger comprises a turbine case housing a turbine wheel and a compressor case housing a compressor wheel, the turbine case including a vaneless turbine nozzle integrated into the turbine case, a bearing case surrounding a shaft connecting the turbine wheel to the compressor wheel and arranged between the turbine case and compressor case, a plurality of long bolts arranged around a circumference of the turbine case, and a plurality of slots arranged around a circumference of the turbine case, a slot length of each slot extending in a radial direction and adapted to receive a dowel pin having a diameter smaller than the slot length, where each dowel pin, via a corresponding slot, couples the bearing case to the turbine case.
BEARING ARRANGEMENT FOR A SHAFT IN A TURBOCOMPRESSOR
The invention relates to a bearing arrangement for a shaft in a turbocompressor having at least one water-fed hydraulic bearing, which is configured to support for rotation an axle of the turbocompressor, wherein the water-fed hydraulic bearing encloses the shaft at a circumference of the shaft to form a bearing gap therebetween; and wherein the water-fed hydraulic bearing is configured to allow water to flow through the bearing gap to support the shaft hydraulically; and two seals, which are designed to seal the bearing gap against the shaft; and wherein gas from the turbocompressor is applied to the two seals outside the bearing gap to seal the bearing.
WATER LUBRICATION TYPE BEARING MATERIAL
A water lubrication type bearing material contains 12 wt. % to 25 wt. % of a tetrafluoroethylene-perfluoroalkyl vinyl ether copolymer resin (PFA resin), 18 wt. % to 33 wt. % of a carbon fiber, and a remainder including a polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) resin and/or a modified PTFE resin. The bearing material has excellent wear resistance and sliding characteristics for a water lubrication type bearing.
Hydrostatic bearing apparatus, machine-tool main-spindle apparatus including hydrostatic bearing apparatus, and method for manufacturing hydrostatic bearing apparatus
A hydrostatic bearing apparatus includes a bearing metal having a hydrostatic portion that allows a grinding wheel shaft to be rotatably supported. The hydrostatic portion has a bearing clearance, a bearing surface portion, a plurality of pockets, and partition plates. Clearances are each formed between the corresponding partition plate and an edge of the corresponding pocket in a rotating direction of the grinding wheel shaft. The clearances are formed in the pocket at upstream and downstream ends in the rotating direction. The bearing clearance has a first bearing clearance and a second bearing clearance. The second bearing clearance is larger than the first bearing clearance.
Plain bearing
A plain bearing includes a base body having a substantially cylindrical bore bounded by a bore surface, and the bore surface has a longitudinal recess in a load-zone region that is open radially inward and has curved ends connected by axially extending sides. A cylindrical shaft extends through the bore and over the load zone and has an outer diameter less than an inner diameter of the bore. A fluid channel has an opening in the recess and provides fluid to the recess at a pressure that is maintained at a level to offset no more than about 40 percent of a force produced by the shaft in the direction of the load zone.

METHOD FOR OPERATING A ROLLING TECHNOLOGY OR METALLURGICAL SYSTEM
A method for operating a rolling technology or metallurgical system is disclosed. The rolling technology or metallurgical system comprises a device in which a rotating component is mounted with at least one sliding bearing. The sliding bearing is supplied with a lubricant. In order to enable improved operation of said bearings, in particular in rolling mills, a water-based, single-phase fluid to which at least one viscosity-increasing additive is added is used as the lubricant for the bearing.
