ROLLER ARRANGEMENT
A roller arrangement with at least two rollers arranged axially parallel, wherein a respective nip is formed between adjacent rollers, each of the rollers having a roller journal at both of its two axial ends, each roller being pivot-mounted via its two roller journals, at least two bearings being arranged axially adjacent to one another at least on both of a first roller journal of a first of the rollers and an adjacent first roller journal of a second of the rollers, wherein a compressive stress is generated between an inner bearing on the first roller journal of the first roller and an outer bearing on the first roller journal of the second roller and a tensile stress is generated between an outer bearing on the first roller journal of the first roller and an inner bearing on the first roller journal of the second roller or vice versa.
Electron Beam Inspection System
There is provided an electron beam inspection system which can enhance the safety of the whole system if servo valves are deactivated in the event of a power failure or an emergency stop. The electron beam inspection system has a beam source, a stage mechanism, and a pump. The stage mechanism has a guide shaft, a slider, a first servo valve, a second servo valve, a first exhaust pipe, a second exhaust pipe, and an exhaust valve. The slider is movably supported to the guide shaft via a hydrostatic bearing and has a first pressure subchamber and a second pressure subchamber. The exhaust valve is mounted in the first exhaust pipe. When the servo valves are in operation, the exhaust valve is opened. When supply of electric power to the servo valves is ceased, the exhaust valve is closed.
Anti-bounce print deck for flexographic printing press
A device and a method is disclosed to maintain plate and anilox mandrel position stability in print decks of a flexographic printing press. In one aspect, the mandrel bearings associated with at least one of the plate roll and the anilox roll are preloaded for the purpose of eliminating backlash and increasing the positional stiffness of the bearings, and thus the mandrel. In another aspect, the roll drive motor control system is enabled to provide a torque additive command the torque profile to maintain rotational consistency and otherwise overcome torque transients experienced by the motor during print bounce. Accordingly, the problem commonly referred to as print bounce and or print banding is alleviated.
SLIDING BEARING, DRIVING DEVICE, AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
A sliding bearing is made of a resin and includes a tubular portion that includes an outer peripheral surface including a D-cut surface. A flange portion, which protrudes from the D-cut surface, is formed at one end portion of the tubular portion. An engagement portion is formed at the other end portion of the tubular portion. A protruding portion is formed on the outer peripheral surface of the tubular portion at a circumferential position that is outside a region in which the D-cut surface is formed and that is outside a region in which the engagement portion is formed.
Paper feed roller
A paper feed roller 1 is used in a paper feeding unit in an electrophotographic image forming device. The paper feed roller 1 includes a non-foamed elastic body 2 having an embossed surface 21 including crest-like parts 211 and valley-like parts 212. The embossed surface 21 has many dimple parts 213 recessed inward on bottom surfaces of the valley-like parts 212 or on the bottom surfaces and lateral surfaces of the valley-like parts 212, and does not have the many dimple parts 213 on top parts of the crest-like parts 211. A diameter of the dimple parts 213 can be set to be 1 to 100 μm and an arithmetic average height Ra of the embossed surface 21to be 3 to 50 μm.
Snap ring, rotator device, fixing device, and image forming apparatus
A snap ring is set to a set portion of a shaft of a rotator from a direction orthogonal to an axial direction of the shaft. The snap ring includes a first arcuate portion and a second arcuate portion facing each other, being elastically deformable in directions away from each other, holding the set portion by elastic deformation restoring force. One ends of the first and second arcuate portions are away from each other to form an insertion portion to insert the set portion. When the snap ring is not used, the first arcuate portion has a same radius of curvature as the second arcuate portion and the set portion, and a center of curvature closer to the second arcuate portion than the first arcuate portion, and the second arcuate portion has a center of curvature closer to the first arcuate portion than the second arcuate portion.
Rolling-element bearing assembly
A rolling-element bearing assembly includes first and second bearing rings that form a bearing interior between them and a plurality of rolling elements disposed in the bearing interior and a seal assembly for sealing the bearing interior. The seal assembly includes a seal carrier and a seal element having at least one primary seal lip for sealing the bearing interior and a secondary seal lip for sealing against external contamination. The seal element is connected to the seal carrier such that the primary seal lip and the secondary seal lip abut axially against an axial end surface of the second bearing ring.
BEARING, UNIT FOR CONVERTING A FLAT SUBSTRATE, AND METHODS FOR MOUNTING AND REMOVING A ROTARY TOOL
A bearing for holding a rotary conversion tool (10, 11) that includes two end rolling bearing devices (26, 28), at least one intermediate rolling bearing device (27) interposed between the end rolling bearing devices (26, 28), the end and intermediate rolling bearing devices (26, 27, 28) being intended to engage with an end (10a, 10b, 11a, 11b) of the rotary tool (10, 11), and at least one mechanical actuator (32, 33) configured to exert a radial preload force (Fo, Fo′) at the intermediate rolling bearing device (27).
CONTACT MEMBERS FOR SLIDABLE CARRIAGES
A contact member for a slidable carriage comprises a pair of roller bearings mounted at a contact side of the contact member and oriented to roll along a sliding direction of the contact member, and a pivot support surface to engage a counter surface structure of the slidable carriage.
Sliding bearing, bearing apparatus, and image forming apparatus
To provide a non-oil-impregnated sliding bearing having superior low friction capable of suppressing an increase of a shaft temperature in a continuous use, and a bearing apparatus and an image forming apparatus provided with the sliding bearing. Sliding bearings 5a to 5c support rotation shafts on cylinder inner surface in a rotatable manner. Each of the sliding bearings 5a to 5c is formed of a molded member of a non-oil-impregnated resin composition that does not contain oil. The resin composition contains an injection-moldable ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene resin as a base resin, a polytetrafluoroethylene resin as an additive, and an acicular inorganic filler having Mohs hardness of 3 or less. The resin composition contains 65 vol % or more of the ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene resin, 5-25 vol % of the polytetrafluoroethylene resin, and 1-20 vol % of the acicular inorganic filler, based on the whole of the resin composition.
