ROTATIONAL LOCK IN INNER RING OF OUTBOARD BEARING TO AVOID LOCK WASHER
The invention relates to a wheel end assembly for a vehicle, comprising a central wheel support member such as a spindle or a steering knuckle, and an outboard wheel end bearing arranged concentrically around the central wheel support member. The outboard wheel end bearing comprises roller elements accommodated between an inner race-forming part and an outer race-forming part surrounding the inner race-forming part. The inner race-forming part is configured to be supported by the central wheel support member. The central wheel support member comprises a first rotational lock portion. The inner race-forming part comprises a second rotational lock portion configured to engage with the first rotational lock portion to prevent the inner race-forming part from rotating relative to the central wheel support member. The invention also relates to a vehicle comprising such a wheel end assembly.
DRIVE SYSTEM FOR AN AUTOMATIC STEP
This invention relates to a drive system for an automatic step. Some embodiments include a rotary actuator for moving an automatic step, a crank arm pivotally coupled to the actuator and pivotable about a central shaft, and a first link pivotally coupled to the crank arm, the first link having first and second ends. The system has one or more force mitigation mechanisms capable of reducing forces eccentric with respect to the actuator. A first force mitigation mechanism engages when the step is deployed or nearly deployed by aligning the central shaft with the first and second ends of the first link along a first axis to generally place eccentric forces originating from the step against the central shaft of the crank arm instead of directly engaging the actuator. A second force mitigation mechanism allows the crank arm to yield without forcing the actuator by using a clutch adjacent to the central shaft.
Sleeve bearing having a flared end
A cartridge pin assembly in a track chain assembly includes a sleeve bearing having a flared end.
FLANGED BEARING, ASSEMBLY, AND METHOD OF MAKING AND USING THE SAME
A bearing including a sidewall including a substrate and a low friction material extending along at least one of a radially inner surface or a radially outer surface of the sidewall, the sidewall further including: a body defining a bore about a central axis; and a flange contiguous with and extending from an axial end of the body, where the flange includes a folded over outermost peripheral edge, where the substrate has a reduced thickness at the outermost peripheral edge, the flange being configured such that the substrate is not exposed along the outermost peripheral edge.
SEALING DEVICE FOR A TAPERED-ROLLER BEARING UNIT
A Sealing device for sealing off a bearing unit from oil contaminants is disclosed herein. The sealing device comprises an annular metallic screen integral to a stationary inner ring, an annular metallic support integral to a rotatable outer ring, and an elastomeric element mounted on the support and comprises a radial lip and an axial lip that cooperate in a sliding and contacting manner with the screen.
BICYCLE BEARING SYSTEM
A bicycle bearing system comprising: an integrated cup, the integrated cup having a non-flanged outer diameter; a plurality of rolling elements configured to abut and rotate against an inner surface of the cup race; an inner race configured to abut and rotate about the plurality of rolling elements, the inner race having an inner diameter; wherein the rolling elements do not have a separate outer race, but rather the inner surface of the integrated cup acts as the outer race to the rolling elements; wherein the rolling elements' sizes are maximized to the limitation that the non-flanged outer diameter is smaller or equal to a first maximum diameter, and wherein the rolling elements sizes are maximized to the limitation that the inner diameter is greater or equal to a first minimum diameter.
SENSOR BEARING UNIT
A sensor bearing unit includes a bearing having a first ring and a second ring centered on an axis, an impulse ring secured to the first ring of the bearing, and a sensor device for detecting rotational characteristics of the impulse ring. The sensor device includes a sensor housing secured to the second ring and at least one sensor element supported by the sensor housing and configured to cooperate with the impulse ring. The sensor housing is secured to a groove, having side walls, on a cylindrical surface of the second ring of the bearing, and the groove is located on a side of the second ring radially opposite the first ring.
Track roller assembly
A track roller assembly includes a wheel body, a bearing, a wheel axle, a cap element, a rotating oil seal, an end cover and an oil body. The wheel body has a thread. The bearing is disposed on the wheel body. The wheel axle is disposed through the bearing. The cap element has a screw corresponding to the thread. One side of the rotating oil seal is connected to the cap element, and another side of the rotating oil seal rotatably abuts the wheel axle. The end cover is connected to the wheel axle. The oil body is limited to an accommodating space formed by the wheel body, the wheel axle, the cap element and the rotating oil seal.
Bearing for a sand/salt spreader
A pillow block assembly for a sand and/or salt spreader includes a housing having a central body and two mounting flanges disposed on opposing sides of the central body, the mounting flanges extending outwardly from the central body, the housing being composed of PBT or a PBT-based composite, the housing having a bore which extends through the central body in a transverse direction; and a bearing positioned within the bore, the bearing includes at least one ball bearing or at least one roller bearing, the bearing being composed of stainless steel and configured to receive a spinner shaft of the sand and/or salt spreader. The PBT or PBT-based composite housing is mountable within an interior of a chute of the sand and/or salt spreader via the mounting flanges.
Instrumented Bearing Incorporating a Leakage Current Collector and a Magnetic Shield
An instrumented bearing comprising a stationary outer ring and a rotating inner ring is provided with an encoder, a sensor assembly comprising a read head positioned opposite and at a reading distance from the encoder, and a leakage current collector capable of coming into sliding contact with an annular contact which can be rigidly connected, directly or indirectly, to the inner ring. The encoder and the read head are positioned axially between the outer ring and the leakage current collector. A conductive electrical connection between the leakage current collector and the stationary outer ring also forms a magnetic shield of ferromagnetic material, extending from the outer ring to the leakage current collector by surrounding the encoder and the read head.
