TWO-PIECE OIL FILTER ASSEMBLY FOR PUMPS
Technologies are generally described for a two-piece filter assembly for centrifugal pump assemblies. A filter portion optionally made from recyclable material may receive contaminated oil from the oil path, through the filter, and provide the filtered oil back to the sump. The filtered oil is then reclaimed by the oil ring from the sump to lubricate the bearings. The filter portion may be removable from the plug portion and the plug portion may be placed back onto the pump assembly with a new filter portion. In some examples, moisture absorbing beads are placed inside the filter portion to remove moisture from the filtered oil.
Bearing supporting assembly and machining method thereof, and centrifugal compressor
The present disclosure relates to a bearing supporting assembly and a machining method thereof, and a centrifugal compressor. The bearing supporting assembly includes: bearing supports, provided with through holes for mounting radial bearings; and a fixing plate, detachably mounted at one end of each of the bearing supports along an axial direction, sides, away from the bearing supports, of the fixing plates being configured to mount first thrust bearings.
AIR COMPRESSING APPARATUS WITH BEARING WEAR-CAUSING THRUST REDUCING/COMPENSATING UNIT
Disclosed is an air compressing apparatus with a bearing wear-causing thrust reducing/compensating unit, and more specifically, to an air compressing apparatus with a bearing wear-causing thrust reducing/compensating unit that reduces or compensates thrust generated due to high-speed rotation of an air-compression impeller formed in the air compressing apparatus, thereby maximizing a service life and durability of the air compressing apparatus.
Pump arrangement
A pump arrangement for a drum or container pump, the pump arrangement including a pump housing; a drive shaft support tube received in the pump housing; and a drive shaft rotatably supported in the drive shaft support tube at a rotor side bearing and at a pump arrangement coupling, wherein the drive shaft runs freely between the rotor side bearing and the pump arrangement coupling, wherein the drive shaft runs through the at least one support ring that is fixed relative to the pump housing and that has an inner diameter that is greater than an outer diameter of the drive shaft and that is arranged between the rotor side bearing and the pump arrangement coupling.
ACTIVE MAGNETIC BEARING APPARATUS
An active magnetic bearing apparatus for supporting a rotor of a rotary machine comprises an axial magnetic bearing unit and a radial magnetic bearing unit mounted directly to one another. One of the axial magnetic bearing unit and the radial magnetic bearing unit is mounted to a support for attachment to a housing of the rotary machine.
Method and system for dynamically adjusting bearing support stiffness and damping
A bearing support system includes a bearing disposed within a bearing housing. A bearing damper is disposed around the bearing and includes one or more knitted mesh pads. A compression ring is positioned to be movable relative to the bearing housing and to apply a compression to the bearing damper that results in a change in at least one of a length and a wall thickness of each knitted wire mesh pad and a corresponding change in the stiffness and bearing of the damper. The system supports rotation of a shaft and may include one or more sensors to measure vibrations in the shaft and a controller to control movement of the compression ring in response to the mechanical vibrations.
THRUST GAS BEARING, CENTRIFUGAL COMPRESSOR EQUIPPED WITH SAME, AND REFRIGERATION APPARATUS EQUIPPED WITH SAME
A thrust gas bearing includes a collar portion fixed to a shaft portion, a first base part facing one axial end surface of the collar portion, a first gas film forming part formed between the collar portion and first base part, a second base part facing an other axial end surface of the collar portion, a second gas film forming part formed between the collar portion and second base part, and a cooling flow path to carry a fluid flow. The cooling flow path includes a first flow path formed on one axial end side of the first base part and extending from an axial center toward an outer periphery, and a second flow path formed on an other axial end side of the second base part and extending from an outer periphery toward an axial center. The second to flow path is located downstream of the first flow path.
Bearing assembly with catalyst-free ultra-strong polycrystalline diamond (PCD) material
An electrical submersible pumping system includes thrust bearings and radial bearings fabricated from a micro-grained polycrystalline diamond compact (“USPCD”) material that is ultra-strong; and where the USPCD is produced using a catalyst free process. In examples, all components of the bearings are formed from the ultra-strong USPCD material. Pads are in the bearings that have a contact surface, and the pads selectively tilt about a tilt member in response to variations in an opposing contact surface. The tilt members are attached to or otherwise associated with the pads, and are in contact with a resilient member that improves tilting response of the pads. The resilient members are encased in jackets that cover surfaces of the resilient members not in contact with the tilt members. The jackets are set in channels formed in structure of the bearings.
GAS BEARING MANAGEMENT FOR A COMPRESSOR
A heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVACR) system includes a compressor with a gas bearing supplied with compressed gas and a controller. The controller is configured to determine an inlet pressure and outlet pressure of the gas bearing, determine a maximum speed limit based on the inlet pressure and the outlet pressure, and prevent the compressor from operating at a speed that is greater than the maximum speed limit. A method of controlling a compressor includes calculating a maximum speed limit based on an inlet pressure and an outlet pressure of the gas bearing. The method also includes in response to determining that a speed setting is greater than the maximum speed limit, adjusting operation of the compressor such that a speed of the compressor is at or below the maximum speed limit.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR CONTROLLING DIFFERENTIAL PRESSURE FOR AN EXTERNALLY PRESSURIZED GAS BEARING APPARATUS
A heat transfer circuit includes a compressor, a condenser, an expander, and an evaporator that are fluidly connected together. The compressor includes a housing and a shaft rotatable relative to the housing to compress a working fluid received at a suction inlet, in which the shaft is supported by a gas bearing, and the gas bearing including a bearing housing having a fluid inlet and an outlet. A high pressure gas source is fluidly connected to the fluid inlet of the bearing housing for supplying high pressure fluid to the fluid inlet of the gas bearing such that the gas bearing supports the shaft when the shaft is rotating. A pressure reducer is connected to the outlet of the gas bearing is provided for reducing a vent pressure of the gas bearing.
