SLIDER ASSEMBLY AND TRANSPORTATION SYSTEM
A slider assembly (10) for a transportation system (100) for transporting an object (101) is provided. The slider assembly (10) comprises a first support (12a) and a second support (12b), a first guiding element (14a) arranged on the first support (12a) and a second guiding element (14b) arranged on the second support (12b), wherein the first guiding element (14a) is configured to receive a first rail (104a) and the second guiding element (14b) is configured to receive a second rail (104b), such that the slider assembly (10) is slidably arrangeable on the first rail (104a) and the second rail (104b). The slider assembly further comprises a tolerance compensation element (18), which connects the first support (12a) and the second support (12b), such that at least a part of the first support (12a) and at least a part of the second support (12b) are spaced apart from each other, thereby allowing a relative movement of the first support (12a) and the second support (12b) with respect to each other.

STEERING COLUMN FOR A MOTOR VEHICLE
A steering column for a motor vehicle may include a casing unit in which a steering spindle is mounted rotatably about a longitudinal axis that extends in a longitudinal direction. The casing unit has at least two casing tubes that have a polygonal cross section and are guided such that they can be adjusted relative to one another in the longitudinal direction. Rolling bodies that have a rolling body radius are arranged between the casing tubes such that the rolling bodies can roll in the longitudinal direction in at least three raceways that are distributed circumferentially. To increase rigidity and improve compactness, center points of the rolling bodies are at a radial spacing that is less than or equal to the rolling body radius from an envelope circle that circumscribes the casing tube, on which the rolling bodies can roll on the outside.

A device for guiding and directing a metal sheet in a bending machine to form continuously a conical structure, in particular a frustoconical structure, comprises: resting and contrasting arrangement extending along a closed path, and suitable for restingly receiving a longitudinal edge of the metal sheet and contrasting a movement of the edge in a direction that is transverse to a preset advancement trajectory of the metal sheet; a supporting body for the resting and contrasting arrangement, having at least one oblong lateral portion that is suitable for facing the edge and configured for conforming the resting and contrasting arrangement to the longitudinal profile of the edge so as to obtain an extended zone of contact with said edge and impose resting and contrasting pressure distributed along the edge; the resting and contrasting arrangement is movable around the supporting body along the closed path to accompany the edge of the metal sheet by a distributed contact devoid of relative sliding and rolling, so as to impose on the metal sheet the advancement along the desired advancement trajectory to and through the bending machine. The corresponding method is also provided.

An assembly including an inner member; an outer member; and a bearing including a bearing sidewall including a flat portion, a first convex axial end, and a second convex axial end, where at least one of the inner member or the outer member is adapted to axially translate relative to the bearing, and where at least one of the first convex axial end or the second convex axial end is adapted to induce formation of a film on the bearing sidewall during the axial translation of at least one of the inner member or the outer member.
Adjustable wear pad
An adjustable wear pad with a wear indicator preferably includes a wear pad, a push plate, at least two pushing fasteners, at least two retention fasteners and at least two threaded inserts. The at least two threaded inserts are retained in the wear pad. Each threaded insert threadably receives one of the retention fasteners. The push plate preferably includes a plate member, a hook extension and at least one wear sensor. The hook extension extends from one end of the plate member and the pair of wear sensors extend from an opposing end thereof. A hook pocket is formed in an end of the wear pad to receive the hook extension. At least two retention clearance holes are formed through the plate member. The adjustable wear pad is retained on a stationary structure and the wear pad is in contact with a moving structure.
Wear pad
A shimless wear pad preferably includes a wear pad, an adjustment plate and at least one fastener. The wear pad includes a wear surface on a top and a wear tapered surface on a bottom. The wear pad includes at least one counter sunk cavity for retaining a threaded insert for threadably engaging the fastener. The adjustment plate includes an adjustment tapered surface on a top and a support surface on a bottom. An adjustment slot is formed through substantially all of a length of the adjustment plate. The adjustment slot provides clearance for the at least one fastener. The adjustment plate will be mounted between the wear pad and a stationary structure. The wear surface of the wear pad will make contact with a moving surface of a moving structure. The support surface of the adjustment plate makes contact with a retention surface of the stationary structure.
AN ADJUSTABLE BEARING ASSEMBLY
The present invention provides an adjustable bearing assembly comprising a first bar and a second bar. The first bar comprises a first engagement surface which is configured to engage with a second engagement surface on the second bar. The first bar further comprises a bearing surface opposite the first engagement surface. One of the first or second engagement surfaces comprises a first plurality of teeth aligned in a first direction, wherein the plurality of teeth are configured to engage a plurality of inclined surfaces on the other of the first or second engagement surfaces such that a force applied to the second bar in the first direction causes the distance between the bearing surface and the second bar to vary.
