With this, it is possible to suppress local progression of corrosion at a periphery of the balance weight (3) and improve durability of the propeller shaft (1) .

A structure includes a transmission axle rotatably mounted at a center of a housing. The transmission axle includes a sun gear mounted thereon. An internally-toothed ring track is fixed to an inner circumference of the housing. A planetary gear set is arranged between the sun gear and the internally-toothed ring track. The planetary gear set includes a plurality of stepped planetary gears arranged around the sun gear for self-spinning and orbiting around the sun gear. Each stepped planetary gear includes a first toothed portion meshing with both the sun gear and the internally-toothed ring track and a second toothed portion rotatable in unison with the first toothed portion. An output member is fit over the planetary gear set and includes an inner circumference formed with an internal toothed circumference meshing with the second toothed portion of each stepped planetary gear.

A structure includes a transmission axle rotatably mounted at a center of a housing. The transmission axle includes a sun gear mounted thereon. An internally-toothed ring track is fixed to an inner circumference of the housing. A planetary gear set is arranged between the sun gear and the internally-toothed ring track. The planetary gear set includes a plurality of stepped planetary gears arranged around the sun gear for self-spinning and orbiting around the sun gear. Each stepped planetary gear includes a first toothed portion meshing with both the sun gear and the internally-toothed ring track and a second toothed portion rotatable in unison with the first toothed portion. An output member is fit over the planetary gear set and includes an inner circumference formed with an internal toothed circumference meshing with the second toothed portion of each stepped planetary gear.

The invention provides a connection device for a joint shaft in a motor vehicle. The connection device includes an axis of rotation, a first connection area for connecting the connection device to a drive train element, a predetermined breaking region, and a tube region which connects directly to the predetermined breaking region. The connection device has an axial extension in the direction of the axis of rotation, and a radial extension orthogonal to the axis of rotation and is designed, at least substantially, as a tubular hollow body. The predetermined breaking region is arranged between the first connection region and the tube region in the axial direction. A connection area is arranged in the axial direction between the first connection region and the predetermined breaking region.

A power transmission shaft comprises a shaft unit interposed between first and second shafts; an engaged portion provided on one end of the second shaft and having an annular stepped part provided between a smaller diameter portion and a larger diameter portion; and an engaging portion provided on one end of the shaft unit and joinable with the engaged portion to rotate together about a common rotation axis, wherein the engaging portion comprises a cylindrical base portion that rotates together with the shaft unit, an elastically shrinkable cylindrical portion that is provided on one axial end of the cylindrical base portion to project toward the engaged portion and catching pawls that are provided by the elastically shrinkable cylindrical portion and latchingly engageable with the annular stepped part when the engaged portion and the engaging portion are coaxially arranged and joined with each other.

A spindle (17) is driven by the rotary shaft (25). The motor case (22) holds the stator (23) and axially supports the rotary shaft (25) via bearings (68, 76). One or more insulating members, such as an insulating cap (67) and/or a resin layer (78), provide electrical insulation between the stator core (40) and the rotary shaft (25).

The first end forms a hollow portion. The first shaft end forms a first journal having a displacement portion. The first shaft end at least in an initial position of the shaft connection extends through the hollow portion which axially by the displacement portion forms a guide portion and circumferentially forms a form-fitting first connection. In the initial position a mutual axial displacement of the first and second shafts is prevented by an axial securing feature. In a crash the axial securing feature; is releasable by an axial release force. The first shaft is axially displaceable relative to the second shaft.

Vibration resistant torsionally compliant transmission shaft

A transmission shaft is provided comprising an input side for inputting torque, an output side for outputting torque, and a rod extending in a longitudinal direction between the input side and the output side to transfer torque along the transmission shaft. The rod comprises a first end provided at the input side, a second end provided at the output side and a torsional compliant section extending therebetween providing the transmission shaft with a torsional stiffness. The torsional compliant section comprises a cross-section which extends in the longitudinal direction to define a central core for transmitting torque directly from the first end to the second end and a radially outer section. This section also comprises a plurality ribs which extend radially and longitudinally from an outer periphery of the central core for increasing transverse stiffness of the rod.

A transmission shaft is provided comprising an input side for inputting torque, an output side for outputting torque, and a rod extending in a longitudinal direction between the input side and the output side to transfer torque along the transmission shaft. The rod comprises a first end provided at the input side, a second end provided at the output side and a torsional compliant section extending therebetween providing the transmission shaft with a torsional stiffness. The torsional compliant section comprises a cross-section which extends in the longitudinal direction to define a central core for transmitting torque directly from the first end to the second end and a radially outer section. This section also comprises a plurality ribs which extend radially and longitudinally from an outer periphery of the central core for increasing transverse stiffness of the rod.
