SELF LUBRICATING LINEAR GUIDE BUSHINGS FOR RECIPROCATING CANNING AND BOTTLING MACHINERY
A linear guide mechanism includes a housing having an inside housing surface that defines a bore extending through the housing coaxial with a longitudinal axis. A shaft is disposed at least partially in the bore and is reciprocatably and linearly moveable in the bore along the longitudinal axis. The shaft has an exterior shaft surface. A self-lubricating liner is disposed in the bore between the inside housing surface and the exterior shaft surface. The self-lubricating liner has an inside liner surface that is in sliding engagement with the exterior shaft surface of the shaft. The self-lubricating liner has an exterior liner surface.
Bearings with visually distinct wear indicators
Bearings with visually distinct wear indicators are disclosed. An example bearing disclosed herein includes a movable portion, a race to receive the movable portion along a first surface to thereby permit movement of the movable portion within the race, and a liner disposed on the first surface of the race, the liner having a first layer and a second layer, the first layer disposed on top of the second layer, the first layer visually distinctive from the second layer.
RESIN MATERIAL FOR SLIDING MEMBER AND SLIDING MEMBER
A resin material 16 for a sliding member contains a synthetic resin 18, graphite particles 20 dispersed in the synthetic resin 18, and a hard material 24. The synthetic resin 18 contains 5% or more by volume and 30% or less by volume of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) 22. The graphite particles 20 have an average particle diameter of 0.5 μm or more and 5.0 μm or less and have a content of 1% or more by volume and 15% or less by volume in the synthetic resin 18.
SLIDING MEMBER AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SAME
A sliding member according to an aspect of the present disclosure includes: a sliding member body containing a metal as a main component; and an outer layer laminated directly on a surface of the sliding member body and containing a crosslinked fluorine resin as a main component, and an arithmetic average roughness Ra1 of a surface having a waveform obtained by extracting a frequency component of a region having waviness having a frequency of not lower than 0.1 μm and not higher than 100.0 μm on a surface of the outer layer through fast Fourier transform processing, and performing inverse Fourier transform processing on data of a frequency component of a region having waviness having a frequency of not lower than 0.1 μm and not higher than 10.0 μm out of the extracted frequency component, is not greater than 0.035 μm.
Plastics sliding element with sensor function, in particular with wear detection
A plastic sliding component for mounting without lubricant in a sliding bearing is proposed, having a moulded part which is manufactured from plastic and has a sliding face for movably guiding two bearing parts relative to one another. An electric function circuit with a sensor function for acquiring an operating parameter is arranged on the moulded part. The invention proposes that the function circuit comprises at least one conductor track structure which is formed on the moulded part as a carrier of the conductor track structure. The function circuit can preferably be applied to the prefabricated moulded part, which is made of plastic, by means of an additive fabrication method (AM method).
BEARING LAMINATE COMPRISING A FOAM LAYER
A bearing laminate can include a metal support layer, a foam layer overlying the metal support layer, the foam layer including a polymeric foam; and a sliding layer overlying the polymeric foam layer, the sliding layer comprising a polymer matrix. Bearing articles made from the bearing laminate can have exceptional damping properties, such as a high damping ratio combined with a low dynamic stiffness.
Thrust bushing surface layer using directly bonded heat activated nitrile-phenolic adhesive film
A method for manufacturing a thrust washer is provided in which a phenolic resin layer is bonded directly to a bearing surface of the base material using two presses at an elevated temperature and pressure.
SLIDING MATERIAL, BEARING, AND METHODS OF MAKING AND USING THE SAME
A sliding material including: a substrate, and a textured sliding layer overlying the substrate, where the sliding layer includes asperities including a plurality of apexes and nadirs, where 1) the sliding layer has a root mean square gradient of less than 0.064; 2) the sliding layer has an apex material portion of less than 10%; 3) the sliding layer has a nadir material portion of less than 75%, and where the textured sliding layer induces formation of a film when engaged in a rotational interface w/ another component.
SELF-LUBRICATING BEARING
A self-lubricating bearing includes an outer ring having a concave inside surface that defines an interior area of the outer ring. The bearing includes an inner member having a convex exterior surface. The inner member is disposed in the interior area, and the convex exterior surface has a physical vapor deposition coating thereon. A self-lubricating liner is bonded to the concave inside surface. The outer ring is made from a first metallic alloy, and the inner member made from a second metallic alloy.
SLIDING GUIDE DEVICE FOR MACHINE TOOL
Provided is a sliding guide device for a machine tool, which is capable of supplying an appropriate amount of lubricating oil onto a sliding surface in a stable manner for a long period of time. A movable body is provided with a porous-body accommodation space that is open toward a guide face of a base. The porous-body accommodation space is in communication with a lubricating-oil supply passage that is in communication with an external lubricating oil supply unit. In the porous-body accommodation space, a porous body is disposed in a manner to provide a gap G between the porous body and the guide face of the base.
