Gauge Arm
A gauge arm (and concomitant method of retrofitting an existing gauge arm) comprising an arm portion, a receptacle portion for receiving two or more sealed bearings, and two or more sealed bearings inserted into the receptacle portion. The receptacle portion is smooth bore, with the sealed bearings being press fit into same. The sealed bearings can be of different dimensions, such as one being a gauge wheel and closing wheel bearing, and one a round bore grain drill bearing. The receptacle portion then comprises a stop within the bore thereof.

SHACKLE FOR FASTENING AN AIRCRAFT ENGINE COMPRISING A PAIR OF ENCAPSULATED ANTI-FRICTION COATINGS, AND AIRCRAFT COMPRISING SUCH A SHACKLE
A shackle for fastening an aircraft engine including a ball joint with a pin including a ring including a first bore and a sleeve assembled in the first bore and having a second bore configured to receive the pin and the diameter of which progressively increases to have a flared inner surface at each of its ends, the fastening shackle being arranged such that a spherical outer surface of the ring bears an anti-friction coating produced on a region extending beyond the contact region with the body of the shackle, this first region being bordered by rims forming a projection around the coating, and/or the second bore bears an anti-friction coating on a region extending beyond its contact region with the pin, this region being bordered by rims forming a projection around this anti-friction coating, at the ends of the flared inner surface.
Apparatus for converting motion
An assembly for converting motion comprises a first arm rotatable at a first position about a first fixed pivot; a second arm rotatable at a first position about a second fixed pivot; a third arm linked at a first position to the second arm at a second position on the second arm, the third arm being linked at a second position to the first arm at a second position on the first arm; wherein one of the first and second positions on the third arm is moveable and the other of the first and second positions is fixed relative to the third arm; and a connecting arm extending between the first arm and the second arm, the connecting arm pivotably connected at a first position to a third position on the first arm and pivotably connected at a second position to the second position on the second arm.

Fiber composite strut
The invention relates to a strut, such as fiber composite struts used in aircraft or spacecraft, which has a largest possible outer diameter within a cylindrical installation space of the strut. The invention concerns an insert connected to a fiber composite hollow structure, such as a fiber plastic composite hollow structure, where the hollow structure engages an undercut of the insert, wherein the outer region of the fiber composite hollow structure likewise has an undercut and this undercut is filled with a fiber composite jacket, such as a fiber plastic composite jacket, and the inner region of the fiber composite hollow structure has, at least in one subregion, a core connected thereto.
Rod-end front suspension
A rod-end front suspension is provided for an off-road vehicle. The rod-end front suspension comprises a spindle assembly that is pivotally coupled with an upper suspension arm by way of a first rod-end joint and pivotally coupled with a lower suspension arm by way of a second rod-end joint. A steering rod-end joint coupled with the spindle assembly pivotally receives a steering rod. An axle assembly coupled with the spindle assembly conducts torque from a transaxle to a wheel coupled with the spindle assembly. Each of the first and second rod-end joints comprises a ball rotatably retained within a casing. The ball is fastened within a recess between parallel prongs extending from the spindle assembly. A threaded shank extending from the casing is threadably fixated with the suspension arm, such that the spindle assembly may be moved with respect to the casing and the suspension arm.

BEARING ASSEMBLY
A bearing assembly with a consumer of electrical energy and at least one energy generating device, has a first component and a second component, which are arranged so as to be movable repetitively relative to one another. The energy generating device has at least one electrical conductor arranged in a loop shape and at least one permanent magnet, wherein the electrical conductor is arranged on the first component, and the permanent magnet is arranged on the second component.
Composite tubular structure
A composite tubular structure includes an elongate composite member having an inwardly tapered section at an end and an embedded nut retained in the end inwardly tapered section for forming a connection with another component. The inwardly tapered section has an inner surface which follows a tapered outer surface of the embedded nut, the inwardly tapered section narrowing the composite member in a longitudinal direction towards the end so as to provide a constriction which retains the embedded nut within the inwardly tapered section. The embedded nut comprises a multipart nut, comprising an internal nut and an internal support member, and wherein the internal nut is arranged to slide within the internal support member in a direction away from the end of, and into, the elongate composite member when the composite tubular structure is under conditions of excessive axial compressive load.
