Fan brake structure

A fan brake structure includes a fan and a brake device. The fan has a frame body, a fan impeller and a stator. The brake device is disposed under a bottom of a bearing cup. The brake device has a driving member, a brake member and an elastic member. The elastic member abuts against one end of the brake member. The other end of the brake member has a boss body. The driving member has a spiral rail. When the driving member rotates, the boss body moves along the spiral rail, whereby the brake member linearly reciprocally moves upward to brake the fan impeller or linearly reciprocally moves downward to release the fan impeller from the braking.

Braking device

A brake device for braking rotation of an input shaft includes a selectively operable trigger brake that includes: a static element; a trigger brake shaft mounted for rotational and axial movement relative to the static element and the input shaft; a preloaded torsion spring rotationally coupled to the input shaft but permitting a limited rotational movement between the trigger brake shaft and the input shaft; a roller jamming mechanism operable upon the relative rotation between the trigger brake shaft and the input shaft exceeding a predetermined amount to stop rotation of the input shaft upon operation of the trigger brake; and a brake actuator for selectively moving the trigger brake shaft into and out of engagement with a contact surface of the static element. Engagement of the contact surface of the static element and the trigger brake shaft overcomes the preload of the torsion spring.

Spreader unit for a motor vehicle drum brake

A spreader unit for a drum brake is provided with a readjustment device which ensures that the clearance remains substantially constant even in the case of wear on the brake linings. The readjustment device is arranged between actuating pistons and changes the spacing of the actuating pistons in at least one readjustment step when an actuating travel of the first and second brake shoe holders has exceeded a travel setpoint value. A thermally actuable blocking device mechanically prevents the execution of the readjustment step by the readjustment device at a temperature above a temperature setpoint value.

ELECTROMECHANICAL BRAKE DEVICE WITH ROTATION-TRANSLATION CONVERTER OF SHORT CONSTRUCTION

An electromechanical brake device has a rotation-translation converter of short construction for moving a brake piston in an electromechanically operable wheel brake of a motor vehicle, and to a motor vehicle having an electromechanical brake device of this type. The electromechanical brake device comprises a caliper housing defining an actuator receptacle, an actuator unit having a piston movable in a linear manner relative to the caliper housing, wherein at least a portion of the actuator unit is arranged within the actuator receptacle, a drive unit to generate a drive torque which can be transmitted to the actuator unit, a rotation-translation converter of the actuator to axially shift the piston based on the drive torque; and at least one first rotation prevention device for securing against relative rotation between the piston and the actuator receptacle.
