A drum brake device for a vehicle includes a first brake shoe and a second brake shoe movably coupled to a back plate, and spaced apart from each other; a wheel cylinder positioned between one end of the first brake shoe and one end of the second brake shoe, and configured to expand the distance between the one end of the first brake shoe and the one end of the second brake shoe; and an actuator positioned between another end of the first brake shoe and another end of the second brake shoe, and configured to provide a driving force to expand the distance between the one end of the first brake shoe and the one end of the second brake shoes and to expand the distance between the another end of the first brake shoe and the another end of the second brake shoe.

Brake caliper for disc brake

A brake caliper for a disc brake has a caliper body straddling a brake disc. The caliper body has a thrust device housing accommodating a thrust device configured to apply a bias on at least one brake pad to abut the at least one brake pad against braking surfaces of the brake disc. The thrust device is operatively connected to a translating screw nut. The translating screw nut is operatively connected to a worm. The worm is operatively connected to a gearbox and rotatably supported by a screw thrust bearing configured to apply for the worm an axial reaction. At least one part of the gearbox is rotatably supported by at least one gearbox thrust bearing configured to apply for the at least one part of the gearbox a radial reaction. The screw thrust bearing and the gearbox thrust bearing are a same thrust bearing.

A brake actuator is disclosed for an electromechanical vehicle brake, comprising an electric motor for actuating the vehicle brake, a blocking assembly for selectively rotationally blocking an output shaft of the electric motor for the purposes of implementing a parking brake function. The blocking assembly comprises a blocking module, which is mounted so as to be movable linearly between an arresting position and a release position, and a drive for moving the blocking module. The brake actuator further includes an electronic detection device for detecting the arresting position and/or the release position of the blocking module. Also specified is a method for operating a brake actuator.

Device for activating a wheel brake of a vehicle, and method for activating the wheel brake

Provided in a device for activating a wheel brake of a vehicle, having a tensioning installation which has a spindle drive, are two electric motors, the first electric motor by way of a first gear mechanism acting bi-directionally on the spindle drive. In order for the position of the tensioning installation, once attained, to be fixed in a parking brake, a second electric motor by way of a second gear mechanism, which has a self-locking worm gear mechanism and by way of at least one releasable coupling that acts uni-directionally in the activating direction, is coupled to the spindle drive. The coupling is composed of a cam on an output shaft of the first gear mechanism, and a pin on an output element of the worm gear mechanism. Since the cam cannot be reversed beyond the pin, a latching position of the tensioning installation is defined in this way.
