Power transmission device
A power transmission device has an interlocking member 9 moving a pressure member 5 from an inactive position to an active position. A release spring (m) applies an urging force, while allowing movements of the interlocking member 9 and the pressure member 5, until drive-side clutch plates 6 and driven-side clutch plates 7 reach an engaged state before the drive-side clutch plates 6 and the driven-side clutch plates 7 are pressed against each other. A clutch spring 11 is compressed in a process where the interlocking member 9 moves after the drive-side clutch plates 6 and the driven-side clutch plates 7 have reached the engaged state. The clutch spring applying a press-contact force between the drive-side clutch plates 6 and the driven-side clutch plates 7 while allowing movements of the interlocking member 9 and the pressure member 5. The set load of the clutch spring 11 is set to be smaller than the maximum load of the release spring (m).

Clutch Assembly and Improved Pressure Plate for Use in Clutch Assembly
An improved pressure plate and clutch assembly allowing for use of a Bellevue (or diaphragm) spring and/or a series of coil springs in the clutch assembly. A Bellevue spring alone can be utilized with the pressure plate; a series of coil springs alone can be utilized with the pressure plate; or alternatively both a Bellevue spring and a series of coil springs can be utilized. The pressure plate has features that allow for either or both of the spring types to be utilized to bias the pressure plate. This allows for the selection of either spring type or both spring types. The pressure plate further preferably has features to allow for a spring or similar biasing mechanism to exert an opposing force to the Bellevue and/or series of coil springs.
VEHICLE CLUTCH
A vehicle clutch, comprising a primary clutch (1). A first drive (2) and a second drive (3) are provided on the other side of the primary clutch (1); the primary clutch (1) is internally provided with a first secondary clutch unit and a second secondary clutch unit; the first drive (2) is in power connection with the first secondary clutch unit; the second drive (3) is in power connection with the second secondary clutch unit; the first secondary clutch unit comprises a first secondary clutch (4) and a friction unit (5) configured to cooperate with the first secondary clutch (4); the second secondary clutch unit comprises a second secondary clutch (6) and a friction unit (5) configured to cooperate with the second secondary clutch (6); a synchronizer (7) is also provided between the first secondary clutch (4) and the second secondary clutch (6); the synchronizer (7) is configured to lock the first secondary clutch (4) and the second secondary clutch (6) as a whole when the first secondary clutch (4) is separated from the second secondary clutch (6). The provision of the two-stage clutch units enables the vehicle clutch to choose whether to use one single clutch or two clutches to bear the torque according to different working conditions.

Power transmission device
A power transmission device has a first clutch member 4a coupled to an output member 3. A second clutch member 4b has a plurality of driven-side clutch plates 7. A back-torque transmitting cam presses the drive-side clutch plates 6 and the driven-side clutch plates 7 against each other by moving the second clutch member 4b when a rotational force is input to the first clutch member 4a. A cushioning member 12 is interposed between the first clutch member 4a and the second clutch member 4b. The cushioning member 12, by being compressed, applies an urging force while allowing movements of an interlocking member 9 and a pressure member 5 in a process where the interlocking member 9 moves and the pressure member 5 moves from the inactive position toward the active position.
TORQUE TRANSMISSION DEVICE, IN PARTICULAR FOR A MOTOR VEHICLE
The invention relates to a torque transmission device (1), having torque input means (2, 24) intended to be rotationally coupled to a crankshaft of an internal combustion engine (7), and torque output means (8) intended to be rotationally coupled to an input shaft (10) of a gearbox (36) and to a rotor (34) of an electric machine, the torque input means (2, 24) being capable of pivoting with respect to the torque output means (8) around an axis (X).
Multiple disc clutch apparatus
A multiple disc clutch apparatus configured to reduce the drag torque, the sticking torque, and simultaneously the weight of the multiple disc clutch apparatus. The apparatus can comprise substantially annular multiple clutch discs connected to an input-side from an engine; substantially annular multiple clutch plates alternately laminated with the clutch discs and connected to an output-side to a wheel; and frictional members secured on surfaces of the clutch discs opposing the clutch plates and adapted to press-contact with or separate from the clutch plates. A power from the engine can be transmitted to the wheel when the clutch discs and plates are press-contacted with each other; the power transmission being blocked by releasing the press-contacting force; wherein depressions are formed on each clutch plate along its periphery and radially inward therefrom; and wherein a part of the one or more frictional members is positioned within a region of the depressions.
