ELECTRIC DRIVE AXLE SYSTEM WITH A SELF-INDEXING CLUTCH AND METHOD FOR OPERATION OF SAID CLUTCH
Methods and systems for a clutch assembly in an electric drive axle of a vehicle are provided. In one example, a clutch assembly in a gear train is provided that includes a locking clutch. The locking clutch includes a gear including a plurality of teeth having at least one tooth with a tapered end, an indexing shaft rotationally connected to an output shaft, a shift collar mounted on the indexing shaft, configured to translate on the indexing shaft into an engaged and disengaged configuration, and including a plurality of teeth on a face, where at least one tooth in the plurality of teeth in the shift collar includes a tapered end, and an indexing mechanism coupled to the shift collar and the indexing shaft and configured to accommodate for indexing between the indexing shaft and the shift collar during shift collar engagement.
COUPLING DEVICE AND METHOD OF OPERATING A COUPLING DEVICE
A coupling device for coupling two components in a torque-conducting manner is described. It comprises a first coupling component having a first external toothing and a second coupling component having a second external toothing. In addition, the coupling device has a sliding sleeve having an internal toothing which is permanently engaged with the first external toothing and can be selectively brought into engagement with the second external toothing. Furthermore, a locking unit is provided which can selectively assume a locking state in which the sliding sleeve is held in a form-fitting manner in a rotationally coupled state. In addition, the locking unit can selectively assume an unlocking state. A method of operating a coupling device is also presented.

ONE-WAY CLUTCH REGENERATIVE BRAKING SYSTEM
A one-way clutch regenerative braking system includes a sleeve which is arranged on an outer circumference of a hub and moved in an axial direction, a clutch gear which is arranged on a side of the hub and meshed with the sleeve, and a one-way clutch which is arranged on an inner circumference of the hub and rotated in a first direction, wherein, when the sleeve and the clutch gear are meshed with each other, the clutch gear is rotated in a second direction which is opposite to a rotational direction of the one-way clutch.
Vehicle drive system for a self-propelled trailer
A vehicle drive system is provided and generally includes a hub assembly, a drive assembly and a clutch assembly. The hub assembly having wheel hub upon which a wheel assembly is secured. The drive assembly is configured to selectively transmit a motive force to cause the hub to turn. The drive assembly includes a motor with a rotatable motor output shaft, a transmission assembly connected to the motor and receiving in the rotatable motor output shaft into an input opening therein, and a driveshaft connected to an output from the transmission assembly. The clutch assembly connected to the hub assembly and engagebale to the driveshaft.
CLUTCH DEVICE WITH A DOG CLUTCH
Clutch device with a dog clutch having inner toothing of a sliding sleeve which is displaceable as part of the dog clutch between a clutch body and the hub of an idler wheel along the outer teeth of the clutch body and the outer toothing of the hub for coupling and decoupling. The inner toothing of the sliding sleeve can be produced comparatively simply compared to the prior art and results in a reduced installation space.
SHIFTING DEVICE
A shifting device for a drivetrain of a motor vehicle, includes a housing which a first and a second drive shaft are rotatably mounted. The first and second drive shafts are arranged coaxially to one another such that they have a common axis of rotation. The shifting device also includes a shiftable clutch device which is arranged between the first and the second drive shaft. The clutch device has an open shift position in which the first drive shaft is freely rotatable with respect to the second drive shaft, and the clutch device has a closed shift position in which the first drive shaft is connected non-rotatably by the clutch device to the second drive shaft. A control element is displaceable in the direction of the axis of rotation of the drive shafts and, depending on its displacement position, shifts the clutch device to the open or closed shift position. The control element is formed by a sliding sleeve which surrounds at least one of the two drive shafts, and a gear element is provided on an outer circumference of the sliding sleeve.
CLUTCH RING AND DIFFERENTIAL WITH A CLUTCH
In at least some implementations, a clutch member includes a main body having a central axis, a radially inner surface, a radially outer surface, a rear face and a front face, multiple teeth formed in the front face with adjacent teeth circumferentially spaced apart, and a rim extending axially from the main body and located radially outwardly of the teeth. The rim extends axially farther from the rear face than do the teeth.
DOG CLUTCH
A dog clutch comprises first (160) and second (170) drive shafts, the drive shafts being connectable to one another by a dual spline connector (150). The dual spline connector is movable along a longitudinal axis of the first (160) and second (170) drive shafts and is provided with an internal spline that mates with an external spline of the first drive shaft. The dual spline connector is further provided with an external spline that upon axial movement may be connected or disconnected to an internal spline of the second drive shaft. Either or both of the external spline of the dual spline connector and/or the internal spline of the second drive shaft is or are provided with means for allowing partial connection of the internal and external splines.
Strain wave gearbox with over-torque protection
A strain wave gearbox configured to provide over-torque protection. The strain wave gearbox is designed to include a clutch that is at least partially housed within or positioned inside the internal space (herein labeled a chamber or void space interchangeably with internal space) of a flex spline. In some cases, the internal space is utilized to generate the preload for the clutch, and it may be used to provide room for a clutch preload subassembly. The clutch is located outside the flex spline's internal space and is formed to use geometric friction surfaces in the form of mating rings of teeth on mating surfaces or sides of the first and second clutch plates that once preloaded by the clutch preload subassembly require a greater torque than the design torque to rotate to the next tooth.
