TRANSMISSION ASSEMBLY
An assembly comprising a drive gear coupled to a shaft and a dial. The drive gear is configured to rotate along a first axis based on movement of the dial. The assembly includes a first linking member located along a second axis and configured to rotate about the second axis based on contact with the drive gear as the drive gear is rotated. The assembly includes a second linking member located along the second axis and configured to rotate about the second axis based on rotation of the drive gear and a coupling between the first linking member and the second linking member. The assembly includes a linking member selector configured to rotate about the first axis and for selecting at least a position corresponding to the first linking member that causes the coupling between the first linking member and the second linking member.
METHOD FOR OPERATING A MULTI-AXLE DRIVE DEVICE AND CORRESPONDING MULTI-AXLE DRIVE DEVICE
A multi-axle drive device and method for operating a multi-axle drive device. The multi-axle drive device is provided with a synchronization clutch present in an operational connection between a first output shaft and a connecting shaft and at least one disconnecting clutch present in an operational connection between the connecting shaft and a second output shaft. The synchronization clutch and the disconnecting clutch are opened in a first operating state and closed in a second operating state. At the same time, with an intended change from the second operating state to the first operating state, the synchronization clutch is maintained at least partially opened and the separation clutch is maintained closed, so that, when a first operating mode is carried out, the disconnecting clutch is opened, and when a second operating mode is carried out, the synchronization clutch is closed again.
A PEDALLY PROPELLED VEHICLE MULTI-SPEED GEAR SYSTEM
A pedally propelled vehicle multi speed gear system includes a gear mechanism including a main shaft; a hollow first shaft and a hollow second shaft, both axially stationary and rotatably arranged about the main shaft; an epicyclical first gear section arranged about the main shaft between the first and second shafts, and including two radially stacked carrier elements; and a first shift mechanism arranged between the first shaft and the first gear section, and configured to rotationally engage the first shaft with either of the two radially stacked carriers. The first shift mechanism includes two first clutches radially stacked about the main shaft.
Fluid distribution apparatus and the axle assembly made therewith
A fluid distribution apparatus for an axle assembly, the fluid distribution apparatus including a cylindrical portion rotatably disposed about a bearing race. A conical portion is coupled with the cylindrical portion, and a retaining portion is coupled with the conical portion. A plurality of circumferentially spaced tubes are coupled with the retaining portion, wherein the tubes are at least partially disposed through a rotating component of a clutch.
A METHOD FOR CONTROLLING A DRIVETRAIN OF A VEHICLE COMPRISING A MULTI-CLUTCH TRANSMISSION
A method is provided for controlling a drivetrain of a vehicle, wherein the drivetrain comprises a multi-clutch transmission. The gear shift of the multi-clutch transmission is adapted to be performed either by power cut shift or by power shift dependent on predetermined vehicle shift conditions. The method includes detecting at least one of a plurality of indications of slippery road conditions and setting a slip risk factor, wherein the slip risk factor is dependent on the indication of slippery road conditions. If the slip risk factor is above a first predetermined threshold value the method further comprises controlling the multi-clutch transmission such that an upcoming gear shift is performed as a power-shift independently of if upcoming shift was determined to be performed as a power-cut shift or as a power shift.
Dual clutch unit and drive assembly
A dual clutch unit includes an outer disk carrier rotationally driven about a rotation axis, first and second inner disk carriers, first and second disk packs for torque transmission between the outer disk carrier and the respective inner disk carrier, wherein the first and second inner disk carriers are arranged rotatably relative to each other about the rotation axis, a central oil supply to supply the first and second disk packs with coolant, a first distributor channel being formed in the first inner disk carrier and comprising a feed opening through which the first distributor channel is fluidly connected to the central oil supply, a second distributor channel being formed in the second inner disk carrier and being fluidly connected to the central oil supply via the first distributor channel, and drain channels being formed in the inner disk carriers to conduct the coolant into the disk packs.
