ELECTRO-MECHANICAL BRAKE SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR OPERATING SAME
Provided is an electro-mechanical brake system and a method of operating the same including: a pair of pad plates disposed on both sides of a disk rotating together with a wheel; a piston configured to allow the pad plates to come in close contact with or to be separated from the disk; a first motor and a second motor configured to operate independently from each other and provide the piston with power; a first gear configured to decelerate power of the first motor and transmit the decelerated power; a second gear configured to convert power of the second motor into a translational motion and apply pressure to or release pressure on the piston while in contact with the piston, the second gear including a guide part slantly formed on a portion that comes in contact with the piston; and a connecting part connecting the first gear and the second gear to each other to allow the first gear and the second gear to rotate together with each other, the connecting part configured to couple the first gear and the second gear such that the second gear is slidable with respect to the first gear.
STARTER ENGINE SYSTEM FOR A ROTARY LOCK
A rotary lock system includes a gear configured to be driven to rotate via an engine. The rotary lock system includes a rotatable starter component configured to engage the gear via an interface. The interface includes a circumferential gap to enable the gear to rotate through an angle before contacting and driving the rotatable starter component.
ELECTRO-MECHANICAL BRAKE
Disclosed is an electro-mechanical brake which is compact due to a changed structure of a power transmission part. According to one aspect of the present invention, there is provided an electro-mechanical brake provided with a pair of brake pads disposed at both sides of a disc, the electro-mechanical brake including a driving motor, a first rotating part assembled with a rotating shaft of the driving motor, a second rotating part driven while connected to the first rotating part through a driving transmission member, a nut driving part rotationally driven while connected to the second rotating part so that power is transmitted to the second rotating part, and a screw driving part which is installed inside and engaged with the nut driving part and driven forward or backward according to a rotation direction of the nut driving part so that a piston pushes the brake pads to come into close contact with the disc, wherein one end of the screw driving part is assembled with the piston, the other end of the screw driving part passes through the driving transmission member and is disposed between the first rotating part and the second rotating part to move forward or backward.
TOOL APPARATUS AND METHOD
The invention relates to a tool apparatus (10) with a drivable tool (1), comprising a shaft (2) which is coupled to the tool (1), further comprising one or plural braking bodies (3) which in particular are arranged distributed around the shaft (2) in the circumferential direction, wherein the tool apparatus (10) is adapted to bring the one or plural braking bodies (3) from a release state into a braking state in the course of a braking procedure, wherein in the braking state the one or the plural braking bodies (3) are in contact with the shaft and thereby exert a braking force upon the shaft (2), so that the shaft (2) and thereby also the tool (1) are braked and wherein in the release state the one or the plural braking bodies (3) are not in contact with the shaft (2).
SYSTEMS FOR LOCKING ROTATABLE SHAFT
A system for locking a rotatable shaft may include a base member couplable to the rotatable shaft and rotatable about a rotation axis of the rotatable shaft through a plurality of angular positions, the base member comprises two or more curved slots; two or more pins positioned with respect to the base member such that at least one of the two or more pins is aligned with at least one of the two or more curved slots of the base member for any angular position of the base member; and an actuator to displace at least one of the two or more pins to removably insert at least one of the two or more pins into at least one of the two or more curved slots.

Parking brake in a vehicle
A parking brake for a vehicle includes an electric brake motor, a transmission, and a brake piston. The transmission transfers a drive movement of the motor to the brake piston. The transmission has a transmission efficiency that steadily increases as a temperature in the transmission rises.
Method and Apparatus for Recovering Energy Wheel
While the concept of saving automobile's intake of fuel or electricity by converting kinetic energy of an automobile into some form of potential energy, usually either electrical potential or compressed gas potential, in order to later convert that energy back into kinetic energy, has been well recognised over the years, and while the number of regenerative braking techniques and devices have been introduced over the years, with the exception of an electrical engine/generator, these techniques have not been well adapted. That was caused in part by either not a very simple implementation of those devices or by a necessity to completely re-engineer automobile powertrain in order to use those techniques. Present invention introduces a method of regenerative braking where no components of an automobile are to be replaced or removed and none of their functionality is modified. The new component described here is implemented as an additional, one piece, complete device, placed onto the existing automobile wheel's hub, and covered by the automobile's wheel. This method of regenerative braking is therefore applicable to all the automobiles, independent of their power source, to newly built automobiles and the automobiles already on the road.
FLUID PUMP
An electromagnetic actuating device for a torque transmission system includes a shell arranged around an axis X, the shell being fixed relative to the axis X. The shell includes walls defining an annular cavity which houses a coil and at least partially a plunger which is able to move axially along the axis X to actuate a coupling device.
Method and apparatus for recovering energy wheel
The present invention introduces a retrofit method of regenerative braking where no components of an automobile are to be replaced or removed and not of their functionality is modified. The recovering energy system is implemented as an additional, one piece, complete device, placed onto the existing automobile wheel's hub, and covered by the automobile's wheel. The system includes a housing, turbines, accumulators, and valves which act to both store and dispel energy as needed. This method of regenerative braking is therefore applicable to all the automobiles, independent or their power source, to newly built automobiles and those already on the road.
