The control member is formed by the gearbox body (1A) mounted to slide along the output shaft (3).
Brake Systems for Inline Skates
One or more sets of dual brake pads and related assemblies are disposed over and upon one or more wheels of an inline skate. One or more center assemblies are above each brake enabled wheel and center over each wheel. A brake assembly may be secured to a skate boot or to the frame of an inline skate. A brake assembly may attach to a hand control braking system enabling foot free braking. A brake assembly may be attached to one or more center wheels of an inline skate so as to not impede skating maneuvers.
System and method of braking for a patient support apparatus
A patient support apparatus includes a base having a length and including a plurality of caster wheels enabling movement of the patient support apparatus across a floor surface. An auxiliary wheel support structure is secured to the base and rotatably supports at least one non-castered auxiliary wheel. A drive mechanism including a motor may be configured to drive the auxiliary wheel. A braking system including at least one brake member may be configured to apply a braking force to decelerate the auxiliary wheel and is movable between a first position wherein the at least one brake member is disengaged from the auxiliary wheel and a deployed position wherein the at least one brake member is frictionally engaged with the auxiliary wheel to restrict rotation of the auxiliary wheel. The braking system may be configured to synchronize the braking forces applied to first and second auxiliary wheels.
CABLE TENSION ADJUSTER FOR HEIGHT-ADJUSTABLE WHEELED VEHICLE
The present application relates to a cable tension adjuster for a manually operated, height-adjustable wheeled vehicle. The vehicle includes a brake assembly including a brake cable assembly and a brake cable housing shaped to enclose an excess portion of the brake cable assembly. The brake assembly includes a cable adjuster coupled to the brake cable assembly, where the cable adjuster is enclosed by the brake cable housing. The brake cable housing provides an access port to access the cable tension adjuster.
Machine suspension system
An embodiment relates to a machine including a prime mover, a drive pulley, a chassis, a subframe, a drive device, a drive belt, and a pulley arrangement. The drive pulley is coupled to the prime mover. The chassis is configured to support at least an operator and the prime mover. The subframe is pivotally coupled to the chassis about a pivot axis. The subframe is further coupled to the chassis via a suspension device. The drive device is configured to drive wheels of the machine. The drive device is configured to be driven by the prime mover. The pulley arrangement is configured to direct the drive belt from the drive pulley to a driven pulley on the drive device. The pulley arrangement comprises at least one idler pulley having a diameter and a rotational axis.
TRAVELING APPARATUS
A traveling apparatus includes a frame, a wheel body, a rotating shaft, and a brake assembly. The wheel body is rotatably arranged on the frame, and is configured to roll on a bearing surface. The rotating shaft is connected to the frame, and the brake assembly is rotatably arranged on the rotating shaft. On a rotation path of the brake assembly, the brake assembly has an idle position in which the brake assembly defines a gap with a working surface of the wheel body, and a brake position in which the brake assembly is configured to be in contact with the working surface of the wheel body. The working surface is a surface of the wheel body configured to be in contact with the bearing surface.
Rigid frame with high-compliance seat tube and internal cable routing
A bicycle can include a forward frame triangle that can include a top tube, a bottom tube, a bottom bracket, a structural seat tube, a compliant seat tube, and a pair of seat stays. The top tube can have a first end connected to a head tube and a second end. The bottom tube can have a first end connected to the head tube. The bottom bracket can be connected to the bottom tube. The structural seat tube can be connected to the bottom bracket and the top tube. The compliant seat tube can extend in an upward direction from the bottom bracket to the top tube and within the structural seat tube. The compliant seat tube can be coupled to the forward frame triangle such that the compliant seat post can bend within the structural seat tube.
Walker safety training device and method of use
The present invention provides a safety training device capable of being attached to an existing front-wheeled walker. The safety training device a modified ski unit, a braking mechanism, a brake cable and hose. When improper transfer techniques are utilized by a patient, the modified ski unit engages the brake and cable hose to exert a force to the braking mechanism. The braking mechanism activates a braking member on the wheel of the walker, halting further movement of the patient and walker. Simultaneously, a striking member of the braking mechanism makes contact with the frame of the walker, producing an audible cue, alerting the patient and any healthcare professionals present that improper technique is being used in a transfer.
ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE DEVICE
Provided is an electric parking brake device which enables a service brake that generates a brake force in accordance with an operation input of a vehicle user and a parking brake that generates a brake force with the function of an electric actuator having operation controlled by a control unit to be obtained. The control unit (C) starts to count in response to an end of detection of the service brake by service brake detection means (66) and stops operation of the control unit (C) after an elapse of a first predetermined time from the start of the count. With this configuration, the load on a battery can be reduced by preventing the control unit from being kept activated for a period of time that is longer than necessary.
Methods and devices for releasing an electric actuator in a reliable manner using a quasi-elastic release end stop
Methods and corresponding control devices for releasing an electric actuator in a reliable manner, such as an electric parking brake in particular, in a motor vehicle brake system. The aim of the invention is to provide an improved function and architecture which helps prevent the disadvantages of open-loop control systems when using a rationalized sensor system, thereby obviating closed-loop control systems. This is achieved by a release method and a corresponding electronic control unit which obtains an especially modulated change in the power requirement during the release process upon impacting the quasi-elastic release end stop of the electric actuating unit such that the change is fed back, the change being detected in order to be used as information for a power interruption or a termination of the power supply to the electric actuating unit.
