Adaptive centrifugal brake assemblies
An adaptive centrifugal brake assembly is disclosed. The adaptive centrifugal brake assembly controls rotational speed of a shaft. The brake assembly is adaptive and changes braking force based at least in part on torque applied to the shaft and/or the speed of rotation of the shaft. In some embodiments, the adaptive centrifugal brake assembly includes an adaptive mechanism such as a leaf spring that enables the assembly to be adaptive.
Governor assembly for elevator system, elevator safety system and elevator system
An overspeed governor assembly for an elevator system, an elevator safety system, and an elevator system. The overspeed governor assembly comprises an overspeed governor, a linkage provided to enable the overspeed governor to associate with a safety device of the elevator, when an elevator car overspeed is occurring, to trigger the safety device to perform safety measures, and at least one torsion spring coupled between a sheave and a centrifugal mechanism in the overspeed governor for providing a pre-set load, and the centrifugal force formed by the centrifugal mechanism when the elevator car overspeed is occurring, is greater than the pre-set load, for triggering the safety device via the linkage.

GOVERNOR ASSEMBLY FOR ELEVATOR SYSTEM, ELEVATOR SAFETY SYSTEM AND ELEVATOR SYSTEM

Non-powered passive braking device using centrifugal force
The present invention relates to an unpowered braking device using centrifugal force. The present invention may comprise: a housing; a brake drum installed inside the housing; a plurality of braking links rotatably installed on a rotating shaft of the housing and connected such that both ends thereof can expand and contract by means of centrifugal force; brake rollers provided on both ends of the braking links, respectively, such that, when the braking links expand, the brake rollers are forced against the inner walls of the brake drums and thereby generate braking force/torque; and an elastic member for providing elastic force such that both ends of the braking links, which have expanded, can contract.

Centrifugal brake for overspeed protection
A centrifugally triggered brake mechanism is used to halt a rotating assembly. The brake mechanism includes a braking surface, a brake shoe, and a rotating centrifugal trigger. Upon attaining a selected rotational speed the trigger releases the brake pad to engage the drum. The mechanism may be useful for instance in providing backup overspeed protection for wind turbines.
