Methods and devices for releasing an electric actuator in a reliable manner using a quasi-elastic release end stop
Methods and corresponding control devices for releasing an electric actuator in a reliable manner, such as an electric parking brake in particular, in a motor vehicle brake system. The aim of the invention is to provide an improved function and architecture which helps prevent the disadvantages of open-loop control systems when using a rationalized sensor system, thereby obviating closed-loop control systems. This is achieved by a release method and a corresponding electronic control unit which obtains an especially modulated change in the power requirement during the release process upon impacting the quasi-elastic release end stop of the electric actuating unit such that the change is fed back, the change being detected in order to be used as information for a power interruption or a termination of the power supply to the electric actuating unit.
BRAKE DISC FLOATING CALIPER FOR SERVICE AND PARKING BRAKING
A floating caliper (2) for a disc brake comprises a first half-caliper (10), which houses a reaction piston (50), a second half-caliper (12), which houses an action piston (90) and locking means for locking the action piston (90) in a preset parking position. The reaction piston (50) is elastically yielding when the braking action acting on it exceeds a preset parking action threshold which corresponds to said parking position wherein the locking means lock the action piston (90).
DISC BRAKE
An object of the invention is to provide a disc brake improved in reliability.
In a disc brake, a first holder-side projection is formed on a holder, and a first cover-side recess that fits the first holder-side projection of the holder is formed in a cover. An elastic member is disposed between the first holder-side projection of the holder and the first cover-side recess in the cover.
Cable adjusting unit
A cable adjusting unit includes a first member, a second member and an actuator. The second member is movably arranged with respect to the first member. The actuator is operatively coupled to at least one of the first member and the second member. The actuator is arranged to relatively move the first member with respect to the second member.
PARKING ACTUATOR AND ELECTROMECHANICAL BRAKE INCLUDING THE SAME
Disclosed are a parking actuator and an electromechanical brake including the same. The parking actuator, which is connected to a brake actuator that performs braking of a vehicle, includes a parking gear connected to the brake actuator to be rotatable together, a parking lever having one side hingedly fixed and the other side engaged with the parking gear, a parking motor provided to generate power, a power conversion unit including a spindle member rotating by receiving a rotational driving force of the parking motor and a nut member screwed to the spindle member to move forward or backward, and a pressing unit installed on the nut member to press the parking lever by the nut member moved forward or backward.
SYSTEM FOR VACUUMING BRAKING PARTICLES WITHOUT LOSS OF VACUUM
System for suctioning braking particles from a friction braking system, the suction system including a negative-pressure source, a suction mouth, a pneumatic circuit connecting the suction mouth and the negative-pressure source, and a control unit, the suction system further including a closure unit arranged on the pneumatic circuit, the closure unit being able to isolate at least a first portion of the pneumatic circuit, the control unit being configured to control the closure means according to a predetermined logic in order to isolate the first portion of the pneumatic circuit during certain phases between two actual uses of the negative-pressure source.
Motor with a cone clutch motor brake
A brake assembly comprising: (a) a caliper including: (i) one or more pistons, (b) one or more rotary to linear actuators that provides an axial force to move the one or more pistons, (c) a motor gear unit in communication with the one or more rotary to linear actuators, the motor gear unit including: (i) a motor; and (b) a motor brake that prevents movement of the motor gear unit, the pistons, or both when the motor is turned off so that a brake apply is maintained, the motor brake including: (i) housing; (ii) an engaging element; (iii) a sleeve, and (iv) a solenoid that is in communication with the sleeve so that when the solenoid moves the sleeve, the engaging element is moved into contact with the housing creating a braking force.

A blocking device for an electromechanical service brake of a motor vehicle, wherein the electromechanical service brake comprises a ratchet gear, supported rotatably about a rotational axis, which ratchet gear is connected or is connectable torque-proof with a drive shaft, rotatable about the same rotational axis of a power train of the electromechanical service brake, and the blocking device comprises a blocking tappet which is axially movable along a displacement axis between a first position, in which the blocking tappet releases the ratchet gear, and a second position, in which the blocking tappet for the purpose of blocking engages into the ratchet gear, a moving system for moving the blocking tappet along the displacement axis, and a position determination system for determining the position of the blocking tappet and an electromechanical service brake for a motor vehicle with such a blocking device and to a motor vehicle with such an electromechanical service brake.
Brake assembly and servo having the same
A brake assembly for a servo including a motor includes: a brake disk fixed to and rotatable together with the output shaft of the motor of the servo, the brake disk having a lateral wall defining at least one opening; and a linear motion actuator including a plunger and an elastic member. The plunger sides from a first position where a first end of the plunger is received in the at least one opening to a second position where the first end of the plunger is disengaged from the brake disk when the linear motion actuator is energized. The elastic member applies an elastic force to cause the plunger to slide from the second position to the first position when the linear motion actuator is deenergized so as to stop rotation of the output shaft of the motor.
