The invention relates to a dust sheet for a vehicle brake configured for reducing brake noise, to a disk brake system comprising a dust sheet and to a method for making a dust sheet, wherein the dust sheet comprises, at least in a section, two or more layers.
SUBASSEMBLY INCLUDING A WHEEL HUB AND A CONSTANT VELOCITY JOINT
A subassembly includes a wheel hub and a constant velocity joint having a bell in which the wheel hub is connected to the bell by friction welding. A first one of the wheel hub and the bell may include an axial projection and the other one of the wheel hub and the bell may include a recess in which the axial projection is received. Also a method of connecting a wheel hub to a constant velocity joint by friction welding.
Guide assembly for a disc brake
A guide assembly for a disc brake and method of mounting. The guide assembly may have a guide pin that includes a mounting portion and a guiding portion. A retaining bore of a brake carrier may receive the guide pin and retain the mounting portion. The guiding portion may protrude from an inboard-side of the brake carrier and may slidably support a brake caliper.
BRAKE BODY FOR A TRANSPORTATION VEHICLE AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING A BRAKE BODY
A brake element for a transportation vehicle, having a base body that is planar at least in some regions, to the planar sides of which at least two build-up layers are applied in each case at least in some regions. The build-up layers form a surface which, in the mounted state of the brake element on the transportation vehicle, serves as a friction surface for a brake pad. There is a bonding zone in which both a material of the base body and a material of a build-up layer adjacent to the base body are present, wherein the bonding zone has a thickness perpendicular to an areal extent of a planar side that is less than 10 μm.
Isolator decoupler
An isolator decoupler comprising a shaft, a pulley journalled to the shaft, a one-way clutch engaged with the shaft, a spring carrier engaged with the one-way clutch, the spring carrier having a spring carrier surface, a torsion spring having a first end laser welded to the pulley and a second end laser welded to the spring carrier, the torsion spring having a volute with a width w, an annular spring support member having a spring support member outside surface, the annular spring support member independently moveable from the spring carrier and independently moveable from the shaft, a gap g between the annular spring support member and the spring carrier, the gap g being less than the width w, the first end comprising a first end coil, the first end coil bearing upon the spring support member outside surface, the first end coil laser welded to the spring support member outside surface, a torsion spring radial contraction limited by engagement with the spring carrier surface, and the gap g and the width w have a relationship (w−2r)>(g+c1+c2) were g>0.
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A DISC BRAKE DISC
A method for manufacturing a brake disc includes providing at least one sheet of predefined thickness, blanking a first disc-shaped portion in the at least one sheet adapted to make a first plate of a ventilated braking band, blanking a second disc-shaped portion in the at least one sheet adapted to make a second plate of the ventilated braking band, blanking a third portion in the at least one sheet adapted to make at least one ventilation spacer for the ventilated braking band, drawing the third portion by shaping first and second protrusions, forming opposite first and second recesses adapted to make ventilation channels, connecting the first disc-shaped portion to the first protrusion by discontinuous weld spots, and connecting the second disc-shaped portion to the second protrusion by discontinuous weld spots.
BRAKE ACTUATOR UNIT AND ELECTROMECHANICAL BRAKE
The present disclosure relates to a brake actuator unit for an electromechanical brake and to an electromechanical brake. The brake actuator unit comprises a spindle, a spindle nut, and a spindle bearing, which receives the spindle, has a spherical bearing contact surface and absorbs the axial reaction forces of the spindle when the brake is actuated.
Isolating decoupler
An isolating decoupler comprising a shaft, a pulley journalled to the shaft on at least one bearing, a one-way clutch engaged with the shaft, a torsion spring engaged between the one-way clutch and the pulley, the shaft comprises an inner race of the at least one bearing, and the torsion spring having an end welded to the one-way clutch and having another end welded to the pulley.
JOINT PART AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREFOR
A manufacturing method for a joint part in which a first metal piece and a second metal piece are joined to each other by performing welding by irradiating a high-energy beam to a joint surface on which the first metal piece and the second metal piece face each other, the first metal piece including a first flow path for passage of a fluid provided at a specific depth from a surface on a side exposed to the high-energy beam, the second metal piece including a second flow path for passage of the fluid provided at a specific depth from the surface on the side exposed to the high-energy beam, and the first flow path and the second flow path being coupled to each other on the joint surface.
CONSTANT VELOCITY JOINT COMPRISING INTEGRAL INTERNAL JOINT PART AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SUCH A CONSTANT VELOCITY JOINT
A constant velocity joint includes an external joint part including internal ball tracks, an internal joint part including external ball tracks assigned to the internal ball tracks, and a ball cage holding balls. The external joint part is connectable to a connecting part and sealed by a closure cap on the side facing this connecting part. The internal joint part is an integral internal joint part connected permanently to a shaft piece, sealed on this side towards the external joint part by a flexible sealing element, hardened, and has a protruding welding attachment for an adapter on its free end. The welding attachment outer diameter is larger than the smallest integral internal joint part outer diameter. In a method, the sealing element is mounted over the integral internal joint part free end and connected to the external joint part, the adapter subsequently welded near the welding attachment.
