CLUTCH ACTUATOR, DETECTION SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DETECTING AN ANGULAR POSITION OF A ROTARY COMPONENT
A first sensor signal and a second sensor signal are provided by a sensor unit to an evaluation unit. The first sensor signal is dependent on the angular position and is associated with a first detection position, and the second sensor signal is associated with a second detection position lying about the rotational axis perpendicular to the first detection position. An orthogonal error is converted by the evaluation unit into an amplitude difference between respective amplitudes of the first and second sensor signals based on a coordinate transformation of the first and second sensor signals. Each of the first and second sensor signals are adjusted by the evaluation unit based on the amplitude difference. An angular position of a rotational component is determined by the evaluation unit based on output from an a tan 2-function that takes the adjusted first and second sensor signals as input.
Methods and system controlling a power take off
Systems and methods for operating a power take off of a vehicle are described. In one example, operation of the power take off may be maintained even when slip of a power take off clutch is detected. In particular, the power take off may be operated at a lower output until the power take off may handle larger loads.
CONTROL DEVICE
A control device controls a torque transmission device. The torque transmission device includes an actuator that operates by being energized and a torque transmission portion that is switched to a transmission state or a non-transmission state by the actuator operating, and transmits a torque between a first transmission portion and a second transmission portion when the torque transmission portion is in the transmission state. The control device includes a target calculation unit, a mode determination unit, and a control unit. The target calculation unit calculates a target transmission torque that is a torque to be transmitted between the first transmission portion and the second transmission portion. The mode determination unit determines an operating mode among an engagement mode, a release mode, and a steady mode. The control unit controls the actuator based on the operating mode determined by the mode determination unit.

ACTUATION SYSTEM FOR COCKPIT CONTROL LEVERS
An actuation system for an aircraft can include an actuator and a plurality of clutches connected to and structured to be moved by the actuator. The actuation system can include a plurality of control levers connected to the plurality of clutches and structured to be moved by the plurality of clutches when the plurality of clutches are moved by the actuator. The actuation system can include a processor connected to the actuator and to the plurality of clutches. The processor can identify one or more clutches connected to one or more control levers of the plurality of control levers for controlling an operation of the aircraft, and cause the one or more clutches connected to the one or more control levers to be in an engaged stat. The processor can activate the actuator to cause movement of the one or more control levers via the one or more clutches.
A METHOD TO CONTROL CLUTCH FORCE IN A CLUTCH PACK
A method to estimate an amount of force in a clutch pack of a clutch actuation system. The method includes engaging an actuation motor to apply a set point force to the clutch pack and monitoring a position of the actuation motor when the set point force is applied. Additionally, the method includes determining one or more clutch clamping curves and one or more clutch releasing curves based on a relationship between the position of the actuation motor and an amount of torque applied by the actuation motor at position of the actuation motor. The method further includes modeling one or more frictional characteristics of the clutch actuation system and estimating an amount of clamping and releasing force within the clutch pack by using a control unit. The amount of torque applied to the clutch pack between the clutch clamping and releasing curves at the set point force is maintained.
METHOD FOR DETERMINING AND/OR CONTROLLING A POSITION OF AN ELECTRIC MOTOR
The invention relates to a method for determining and/or controlling a position of an electric motor, in particular in a clutch actuation system of a motor vehicle, wherein the position of a rotor of the electric motor is picked up by a sensor system situated on a stator of the electric motor outside an axis of rotation of the electric motor, and the position signal picked up by the sensor system is analyzed by an analysis unit. In a method in which the rotor position is detected with a high level of certainty, the position signal is transmitted to the analysis unit depending on a transmission distance between the sensor system and the analysis unit by means of an SPI protocol signal for short transmission distances, and/or by means of a PWM signal for longer transmission distances.
DRIVING FORCE TRANSMISSION DEVICE CONTROL APPARATUS AND CONTROL METHOD
A control apparatus controls a driving force transmission device including: an electric motor; a pressing mechanism to convert the rotational force of the motor into an axial pressing force; friction clutches including friction members configured to come into frictional engagement with each other by the pressing force provided by the pressing mechanism. The driving force transmission device is configured to transmit a driving force between a pair of rotary members by the friction clutches. The apparatus includes: a target current calculating circuit to calculate a target current to be supplied to the motor, and a correction circuit to correct a voltage to be applied to the motor so as to reduce a difference between the target current and an actual current supplied to the motor. The correction circuit increases or reduces, in accordance with the actual current, the amount of correction of the voltage to be applied to the motor.
CONTROL AND DIAGNOSTIC METHOD FOR A DIFFERENTIAL SYSTEM
Methods and systems for a differential assembly are provided herein. In one example, a diagnostic method includes generating a clutch fault according to a variance between an initial engagement position and a lock point position of a clutch motor that occur during engagement of an interaxle differential (IAD) locking clutch coupled to the clutch motor. In the IAD system, an actuation assembly is coupled to the clutch motor and the IAD locking clutch.
Control and diagnostic method for a differential system
Methods and systems for a differential assembly are provided herein. In one example, a method is provided that includes operating a clutch motor coupled to a differential locking clutch to place the differential locking clutch in a locked configuration. The method further includes, after the differential locking clutch is placed in the locked configuration, reducing electric power delivered to the clutch motor at a first rate and increasing the electric power delivered to the clutch motor when it is determined that clutch disengagement is occurring based on outputs from a motor position sensor or outputs from shaft speed sensors coupled to a pair of shafts coupled to the differential locking clutch.
