Transmission
A transmission changes gears in a MT system, an AT system, and an AMT system wherein unintended transition between an AT mode and a MT mode or between an AMT mode and a MT mode is prevented. A selector in a controller performs a mode selection control such that, when performing transition between the AT mode and the MT mode or between the AMT mode and the MT mode, the driver at least has to operate a mode switching switch while operating a clutch lever in an operation amount not smaller than a predetermined threshold.
Clutch control device
This clutch control device includes an engine (13), a transmission (21), a clutch device (26) configured to connect and disconnect motive power transmission between the engine (13) and the transmission (21), a clutch actuator (50) configured to drive the clutch device (26) and change a clutch capacity, a clutch operating element (4b) configured to enable the clutch device (26) to be manually operated, and a control unit (60) configured to calculate a target value (Pt) of a control parameter (Ps) of the clutch capacity in accordance with an amount of operation on the clutch operating element (4b). When the clutch device (26) is operated on a connection side according to an operation on the clutch operating element (4b), the control unit (60) is configured to set the target value (Pt) to a quick connection target value (Pmax) obtained by making a change to the connection side of the clutch device (26) with respect to an operation correspondence target value (Pv) according to the amount of operation on the clutch operating element (4b) if a speed of the operation on the clutch operating element (4b) is higher than or equal to a predetermined specified speed (Sp1).
CLUTCH CONNECTION/DISCONNECTION DEVICE FOR DUAL CLUTCH TRANSMISSION
A clutch-side transmission circuit transmits, from a clutch pedal, a restoring action of the depressed clutch pedal. A switching device connects a first clutch-side hydraulic circuit to the pedal-side hydraulic circuit when a shift lever SL is tilted forwards and connects a second clutch-side hydraulic circuit to the pedal-side hydraulic circuit when the shift lever SL is tilted rearwards. A first clutch is engaged in response to the restoring action of the clutch pedal being transmitted from the first clutch-side transmission circuit. A second clutch is engaged in response to the restoring action of the clutch pedal being transmitted from the second clutch-side transmission circuit.
Manual transmission clutch control using driveline measurements
A method for controlling a manual transmission includes using a controller to determine a desired torque transmitted through an input clutch for the desired gear after a shift lever is moved to a desired gear position and while a clutch pedal is being released for engaging the clutch; inferring torque in the vehicle drive assembly; using inferred torque to determine clutch torque; and using the controller to automatically adjust a clutch actuator such that a difference between the desired torque and the inferred torque is reduced.
Electronic control of manual transmission clutch
A controller adjust a clutch actuator position is response to movement of a clutch pedal. During an engagement or a disengagement, the controller monitors sensor signals to determine the actuator position corresponding to the touch point. The sensors may directly indicate clutch torque or may respond indirectly. A Giant Magneto Resistive (GMR) sensor provides a precise shaft rotational position signal which can be twice numerically differentiated to yield an accurate and stable acceleration signal. The controller updates the touch point based on a change in the sensed acceleration or torque. The controller then adjusts the relationship of actuator pedal position to clutch pedal position, making mechanical wear adjustment unnecessary.
CONTROL SYSTEM OF VEHICLE
While a vehicle is traveling in an automatic driving mode, an auto-driving oil pressure changing unit makes the engagement pressure of hydraulic oil supplied to a release-side engagement device to be released during a downshift of a stepwise shifting unit, higher than the engagement pressure set during traveling in a manual driving mode, so that retraction of the acceleration due to a drop of drive torque during the downshift is reduced. At this time, an auto-driving rotating machine controller makes drive-side MG2 torque generated from a second rotating machine, larger than that generated during traveling in the manual driving mode, so as to speed up the progress of the downshift, and prevent retraction of the acceleration from being prolonged.
Method for determining the engaged gear in a manual gearbox
A method for determining the engaged gear in a manual gearbox of a vehicle comprising a number of gears is described, wherein the vehicle comprises an engine, the manual gearbox, and at least one clutch. The method comprises the following steps: determination of the revolution rate of the engine as a function of time; differentiating the determined revolution rate of the engine against time; determination of the speed of the vehicle; and determination of the engaged gear based on characteristic curves of the revolution rate of the engine as a function of time for a number of the gears in the case of a fixed rate of engagement of the clutch, the revolution rate of the engine, the differential of the revolution rate of the engine against time and the speed of the vehicle.
