METHOD FOR DETERMINING A CHARACTERISTIC CURVE OF A HYBRID SEPARATING CLUTCH OF A HYBRID VEHICLE WITHOUT A TEST STAND
The invention relates to a method for determining a characteristic curve of a hybrid separating clutch of a hybrid vehicle without a test stand, wherein the hybrid separating clutch separates or connects an internal combustion engine and an electric motor and the hybrid separating clutch is slowly actuated on the basis of a position which the hybrid separating clutch assumes in an unactuated state, and a clutch characteristic curve is determined as a function of a clutch torque over a path of the hybrid separating clutch. In a method by which a characteristic curve of the hybrid separating clutch can be reliably defined without a test stand, a clutch torque which underlies the characteristic curve of the hybrid separating clutch is determined from the torque of the internal combustion engine in the case of a running internal combustion engine and a motion state of the electric motor which brakes the internal combustion engine while the hybrid separating clutch is moving.
Method for determining an output torque in a drive system capable of being power shifted in a vehicle
A method for determining an output torque in a drive system capable of being power shifted in a vehicle includes providing the drive system having a drive unit for transmitting the drive torque, a dual clutch having a first clutch and a second clutch, and a power shift transmission. The power shift transmission has a first gear with a first gear ratio and a second gear with a second gear ratio. The method also includes measuring a first torque transmitted by the first clutch, calculating a distribution of the drive torque to the first clutch and the second clutch using the first torque, and determining the output torque from the distribution of the drive torque.
ESCROW CLUTCH PROTECTION
Disclosed are systems and methods for protecting an escrow clutch of a self-service terminal. The systems and methods may include actuating a motor of the self-service terminal to cause an escrow clutch of the self-service terminal to spin at a rate. As the clutch spins, a determination as to when a clutch slippage exceeds a preset slippage rate may be made. When the clutch slippage exceeds the preset slippage rate, the motor may be actuated to cause the escrow clutch to spin at a second rate. The second rate may less than the first rate.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR PROVIDING TORQUE TO CLUTCH IN HYBRID VEHICLE
A hybrid vehicle includes an electric motor and a combustion engine. A K0 clutch couples the combustion engine to a drivetrain of the vehicle. A control module of the vehicle calculates a torque to be applied by the motor to the K0 clutch when initiating engagement of the combustion engine to the drivetrain. The control module calculates two separate torque lead values by two separate methods and calculates the torque by combining the two torque lead values.
APPARATUSES, METHODS, SYSTEMS, AND TECHNIQUES FOR IMPROVING THE ACCURACY OF INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE TORQUE DETERMINATIONS
A system comprises a powertrain including an engine configured to output torque to a driveline, and an electronic control system operatively coupled with the powertrain. The electronic control system is configured to determine an engine torque value, and control a component of the driveline in response to the engine torque value. The engine torque value may account for an effect of air-fuel ratio (AFR) on engine torque. The engine torque value may account for an effect of charge transport delay on engine torque
Method for determining the biting point of a hybrid disconnect clutch of a hybrid vehicle
A method determines the biting point of a hybrid disconnect clutch of a hybrid vehicle. The hybrid disconnect clutch disconnects or connects an internal combustion engine and a first electric motor, which is arranged on the output side. A second electric motor, which is arranged on the internal combustion engine side and is rigidly connected to the internal combustion engine, is operated at a constant rotational speed during electric travel by means of the first electric motor. The hybrid disconnect clutch is moved from the open state toward the closed state and the load on the second electric motor is monitored. When the load on the second electric motor reaches a predefined load threshold value, it is determined that the biting point has been reached.
Apparatus, system, and vehicle control apparatus
An apparatus to be applied to a vehicle including a transmission configured to execute a gear shifting operation for changing a gear ratio by engaging or disengaging friction engagement elements having friction members pushed by a piston that moves through hydraulic pressure supply to an oil chamber, the apparatus including: a memory storing mapping data for defining mapping, the mapping including a pressure variable and a period variable as input variables, the mapping including a stroke amount as an output variable, the pressure variable indicating a waiting pressure, the period variable indicating a waiting period; and a processor configured to: acquire values of the input variables, and calculate a value of the output variable by inputting, to the mapping, the acquired values of the input variables.
Apparatus and method for operating accessories of vehicle during engine stop using one-way clutch pulley
Disclosed is an apparatus and method for operating vehicular accessories during an engine stop using a one-way clutch pulley, the apparatus including the one-way clutch pulley configured to drive the vehicular accessories, and including a coupler and a one-way clutch. The one-way clutch pulley includes an engine crank shaft configured to connect to an engine of a vehicle; the coupler configured to couple with the engine crank shaft; the one-way clutch configured to couple with the coupler; and a pulley configured to connect to the one-way clutch, and the one-way clutch is configured to connect to the pulley and to rotate in one direction.
Engine system
An engine system provided to a vehicle having an accelerator pedal is provided. When an engine operation range is determined to shift to a first range (where an electromagnetic clutch is disengaged) from a second range (where the clutch is engaged) after an opening of the accelerator pedal increases at a rate below a given reference rate, the clutch is switched from ON to OFF after a given basic stand-by period passes from the shift. When the engine operation range is determined to shift from the second range to the first range after the accelerator pedal opening increases at the given reference rate or above, the clutch is switched from ON to OFF after a given acceleration stand-by period (longer than the basic stand-by period by a given added period) passes from the shift.
