SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR VEHICLE HILL CONTROL
Methods and systems are provided for a vehicle hill control. An example of a method may include during a vehicle stopped condition, operating with a clutch of a transmission engaged to mechanically lock the transmission, the transmission having a plurality of power inputs including receiving input from an electric machine and a prime mover; releasing at least one of the clutch or a service brake, and while releasing, concurrently adjusting an output magnitude of the electric machine responsive to speed control to control to a zero vehicle speed. In some examples, the method may further include learning a torque output of the electric machine required to maintain the zero vehicle speed upon fully releasing the clutch or service brake. In an example, the method may include estimating a road grade based on the learned torque output.
Method for controlling engine clutch of vehicle
A method for controlling an engine clutch of an electrified vehicle is provided to easily engage and disengage an engine clutch by applying a launch engagement control method that utilizes power from both of an engine and a motor in accordance with the variation of the number of revolutions per hour of the engine and the usage rate of electrical energy by a motor to engage the engine clutch in a terrain mode and by applying a control method that disengages an engine clutch early in accordance with the number of revolutions per hour of the engine and the shaft torque of the engine clutch in the terrain mode.
Control apparatus for vehicle, vehicle, and motor
A control apparatus of a vehicle obtains information indicating a relationship between an instruction value to be provided to an actuator in accordance with a driving condition of a vehicle and a torque capacity of a clutch. The control apparatus includes a table holding unit that stores a correction table to be applied under a condition when an output torque from the engine is increasing and a correction table to be applied under a condition when an output torque from the engine is decreasing, a gear change condition determining unit that determines under which condition a gear change is executed, and a correction table update unit that updates the correction table to be applied under the determined condition based on the information indicating a relationship between a target value and an actual value of the torque capacity generated at the inertia phase.
Virtual clutch temperature gauge
An apparatus (a controller), and systems and methods for management of inputs, determination of a calculated clutch temperature, and control of action related to the clutch of a transmission system, and notification improvements to a user associated therewith are disclosed. In particular, a clutch calculator circuit is augmented by a machine learning component that employs a machine learning technique and provides a projected clutch temperature as a basis for actions to be taken.
Clutch control method for hybrid vehicle with dual clutch transmission
A clutch control method for a hybrid vehicle with a DCT is provided. The method includes determining an energy-saving possible period based on a selection state of shifting ranges, operation states of an accelerator pedal and a brake pedal, and the gradient of a road on which the vehicle is driven. An operation current is set for maintaining a clutch, which is configured to engage the first gear, engaged as 0 A in response to determining that a current state of the vehicle is in the energy-saving possible period.
DRIVING ASSISTANCE SYSTEM AND METHOD
A driving assistance system for a work vehicle may comprise a service brake configured to decelerate the work vehicle upon actuation of the service brake, a parking brake and a transmission including a clutch. A controller may be configured to disengage the clutch when the work vehicle speed is less than a speed threshold and when the service brake is actuated, whereby the work vehicle is brought to a stop.
Method for controlling a drivline of a vehicle
The disclosure relates to a method for controlling a driveline (10) of a vehicle (1), wherein the driveline (10) at least comprises a transmission (13) and a clutch (12), wherein the clutch (12) is adapted to be provided between the transmission (13) and a propulsion unit (11) of the driveline (10), wherein the method comprises the steps of; predicting an imminent drive route, identifying if the imminent drive route comprises any clutch severity classification (CSC), and if the imminent drive route comprises a clutch severity classification (CSC)—estimating (103) an expected clutch temperature (Tic) dependent on at least the clutch severity classification (CSC) and one vehicle parameter (Vp), wherein, the clutch severity classification (CSC) is at least dependent on an inclination of the imminent drive route, and if (105) the expected clutch temperature (Tic) is above a clutch temperature threshold value (Tt); controlling (106) the driveline (10) in a critical heat mode, wherein in the critical heat mode the transmission (13) is controlled such that a clutch temperature increase is lower in comparison to a normal driveline control mode.
Method for operating a vehicle having a disconnect clutch
A method for operating a vehicle that includes a driveline disconnect clutch is described. In one example, the method includes adjusting a pressure of the driveline disconnect clutch as a function of an engine pull-up torque minus a driver demand torque when the pressure of the driveline disconnect clutch is between a torque stroke pressure and a hydraulic stroke pressure.
