INTELLIGENT CLUTCH (I-CLUTCH) SYSTEM FOR AN AUTOMOBILE VEHICLE
The present invention relates to a method for optimizing kinetic energy for an automobile and an intelligent clutch (i-clutch) system thereof. The method comprises dynamically receiving, at a controller [210], one or more parameters from at least one of a braking pressure sensor [202], a speed sensor [204] and an acceleration pressure sensor [206] of the automobile. Next, the controller [210] continuously determines an operating condition of the automobile based on the received one or more parameters. Subsequently, the controller [210] generates a trigger based on the determined operating condition of the automobile to activate an intelligent clutch (i-clutch) [212]. Lastly, the i-clutch [212] disconnects a prime mover and a driving shaft of the automobile to optimize kinetic energy of the automobile.
WORKING VEHICLE AND TRACTOR
A working vehicle includes: a clutch displaceable to a connected state in which power is transmitted to a drive, a disconnected state in which the transmission is disconnected, and a half-clutch state in which power is slidably and partly transmitted to the drive; a detector that detects an operation position of a clutch pedal and outputs a detected value corresponding to the operation position detected; a control device that brings the clutch into the half-clutch state if the detected value corresponds with a threshold, and brings the clutch into the disconnected state if the detected value is less than the threshold and into the connected state if the detected value is greater than the threshold, and vice versa; and a change unit that changes the threshold to a different value in accordance with an operation on the operation member.
Launch control method for vehicle
A launch control method for a vehicle may include a step of increasing clutch torque of a clutch according to a decrease in braking pressure, a step of maintaining a current level of the clutch torque for a first reference duration, a step of gradually reducing the clutch torque within a range which is lower than the first reference torque level and is equal to or greater than a second reference torque level which is lower than the first reference torque level, a step of gradually increasing the clutch torque until the clutch torque reaches a third reference torque level which is higher than the first reference torque level, and a step of bringing the control to a stop when a state in which a clutch slip is less than a predetermined critical synchronous slip is maintained for a predetermined critical synchronization duration or longer than the predetermined critical synchronization duration.
Master brake cylinder arrangement with actuation detection for a vehicle brake system
A master brake cylinder arrangement includes at least one piston arrangement with a piston movably guided in a receiving bore in a master brake cylinder housing. The piston, together with the receiving bore, delimits a pressure chamber which is in fluid connection with a hydraulic brake circuit and may be moved along a movement axis between an initial position and an actuation position. A position detecting device detects movement of the piston caused by actuation is provided within the receiving bore. The position detecting device has a sensor element, which is movable as a function of a piston movement, and a position detecting sensor, which is arranged fixed on the master brake cylinder housing. The sensor element is received and guided in the master brake cylinder housing independently of the piston and is capable of interacting with the piston for deflection as a function of the piston movement.
Torque converter lockup clutch slip control
A method and system are provided for operating a lockup clutch of a torque converter of a motor vehicle. The torque converter includes a pump rotatably driven by a drive unit, a rotatable turbine fluidly coupled to the pump and configured to drive an input shaft of a transmission, and a lockup clutch selectively engageable to non-fluidically couple the pump to the turbine to transmit torque from the drive unit to the transmission. The operation of the lockup clutch is controlled by the system in response to detecting that the motor vehicle is coasting.
TEMPERATURE BASED CLUTCH CONTROL
A vehicle includes a clutch to couple a motor and transmission, and a controller that, in response to a regenerative braking request and a temperature being within a first range, partially capacitizes the clutch for regenerative torque transfer therethrough with slip, and in response to another regenerative braking request and the temperature being within a second range less than the first, fully capacitizes the clutch prior to regenerative torque transfer therethough to preclude slip.
METHOD FOR OPERATING AN AUTOMATIC START/STOP SYSTEM IN A VEHICLE UTILIZING A FLUID LAUNCH CLUTCH
A system and method for operating a vehicle equipped with an automatic stop and start system is disclosed. The vehicle includes an internal combustion engine, an automatic transmission and a fluid launch device with an impeller disconnect clutch. A controller may initiate an automatic stop or start of the engine under certain operating conditions. During an engine start/stop event, the engine is automatically shut down and the impeller clutch of the fluid launch device may be disengaged to decouple the engine and transmission from the driveline to provide for improved fuel economy and reduced emissions.
Brake torque distribution system using all-wheel-drive mode of powertrain, vehicle including same, and method
A brake torque distribution system for a vehicle can include a braking system and a controller. The controller can be configured to signal a clutch of the vehicle powertrain to move to the engaged position such that the front wheels are rotationally coupled to the rear wheels and the brake torque applied to the front wheels by the braking system is transmitted to the rear wheels. The controller can be configured to signal the clutch to move to the engaged position based on an inclination angle signal received by the controller and indicative of an angle of inclination of the vehicle, a selected gear signal received by the controller that is indicative of the reverse gear ratio being selected in the powertrain, and a load signal received by the controller and indicative of a load applied to a portion of the vehicle adjacent to the rear wheels.
Clutch control method for hybrid vehicle with dual clutch transmission
A clutch control method for a hybrid vehicle with a DCT is provided. The method includes determining an energy-saving possible period based on a selection state of shifting ranges, operation states of an accelerator pedal and a brake pedal, and the gradient of a road on which the vehicle is driven. An operation current is set for maintaining a clutch, which is configured to engage the first gear, engaged as 0 A in response to determining that a current state of the vehicle is in the energy-saving possible period.
