A method for automatically warming up a clutch actuator for a clutch of a transmission in a vehicle, wherein the clutch actuator is operable by use of pressurized fluid and configured to actuate the clutch from an engaged to a disengaged state, and/or vice versa, the method including: identifying if a temperature is below a predetermined temperature value and if the clutch actuator is leaking, and if it is identified that the temperature is below the predetermined temperature value and that the clutch actuator is leaking; then repeatedly pressurizing the clutch actuator by use of the pressurized fluid until a state is reached indicative of the clutch actuator being functional, or until a maximum run out state is reached indicative of a faulty clutch actuator.
Clutch control apparatus
This clutch control apparatus includes: a clutch device that connects and disconnects a power transmission between an engine and a drive wheel; a clutch actuator that drives the clutch device and changes a clutch capacity; a driven mechanism that is arranged between the clutch actuator and the clutch device, is operated by a drive of the clutch actuator, and operates the clutch device; a control part that calculates a control target value of the clutch capacity; and a temperature sensor that measures a temperature of the driven mechanism, wherein the control part corrects the control target value based on the temperature measured by the temperature sensor.
Method of calibrating a wet clutch for generating transfer functions on a test bench
A bench test calibration method for generating wet clutch torque transfer functions includes obtaining in-vehicle clutch torques at a set of shift conditions; performing a series of bench tests at various clutch pack clearances and lubrication oil flow rates at the set of shift conditions; adjusting clutch pack clearances and lubrication oil flow rates during the series of bench tests in response to a difference between a bench test measured clutch torques and the corresponding in-vehicle clutch torques exceeding a threshold; and recording relationships between first bench test measured torques and force profiles of a clutch actuator relative to the adjusted clutch pack clearances and lubrication oil flow rates for each of the set of shift conditions as a first transfer function.
Vehicle transmission apparatus
A vehicle transmission apparatus having a starting engagement friction element, which has friction plates and a hydraulic servo including a piston that is moved according to a supplied oil pressure to press the friction plates, which is controlled to be engaged when a vehicle is started by using at least a driving force of the internal combustion engine, and which transfers creep torque. A control device capable of receiving an accelerator operation amount signal and capable of outputting a command value that controls the oil pressure. The control device executes temporary increase control of temporarily increasing the command value, when the accelerator operation amount signal is turned on from a state where the accelerator operation amount signal is off and the command value is output so that the starting engagement friction element transfers the creep torque.
CONTROL APPARATUS FOR POWER TRANSMISSION SYSTEM
At the time when a hydraulic actuator is operated to engage a dog clutch, after it is detected that a hydraulic pressure for operating the hydraulic actuator is higher than or equal to a predetermined hydraulic pressure, it is determined whether the dog clutch is not engaged. Therefore, non-engagement determination due to insufficient hydraulic pressure for operating the hydraulic actuator is prevented. Thus, at the time when the hydraulic actuator is operated to engage the dog clutch, it is possible to prevent consumption of time to engage the dog clutch due to unnecessary re-engagement operation.
