Method of calibrating a wet clutch for generating transfer functions on a test bench

A bench test calibration method for generating wet clutch torque transfer functions includes obtaining in-vehicle clutch torques at a set of shift conditions; performing a series of bench tests at various clutch pack clearances and lubrication oil flow rates at the set of shift conditions; adjusting clutch pack clearances and lubrication oil flow rates during the series of bench tests in response to a difference between a bench test measured clutch torques and the corresponding in-vehicle clutch torques exceeding a threshold; and recording relationships between first bench test measured torques and force profiles of a clutch actuator relative to the adjusted clutch pack clearances and lubrication oil flow rates for each of the set of shift conditions as a first transfer function.

Clutch control device

A clutch control device includes a clutch device that disconnects and connects a power transmission between an engine and a gearbox, a clutch actuator that drives the clutch device and changes a clutch capacity, an ECU that calculates a control target value of the clutch capacity, a clutch lever that manually operates the clutch device, and a clutch lever operation amount sensor that converts an operation amount of the clutch lever into an electrical signal, wherein the ECU calculates a clutch operation speed on the basis of the operation amount detected by the clutch lever operation amount sensor, and changes a disconnection and connection speed of the clutch device according to the clutch operation speed.

Method and device for calibrating engine clutch delivery torque of hybrid vehicle

A method for calibrating engine clutch delivery torque of a hybrid vehicle includes: determining an engagement control amount of an engine clutch which connects an engine with a driving motor or disconnects the engine from the driving motor based on a difference between speeds of the engine and the driving motor; determining a current delivery torque corresponding to the engagement control amount of the engine clutch that controls the engine clutch to be in a lock-up state and a temperature of the engine clutch; extracting a previous delivery torque that corresponds to the engagement control amount that controls the engine clutch to be in the lock-up state and the temperature and is included in a map table; and applying a weighted value to each of the extracted previous delivery torque and the determined current delivery torque to calibrate the delivery torque included in the map table.

Method for avoiding safety-critical activation of a clutch in a hybrid module of a drivetrain of a motor vehicle

The invention relates to a method for avoiding safety-critical activation of a clutch in a hybrid module of a drivetrain of a motor vehicle, wherein the hybrid module is effective between the internal combustion engine and the transmission and has an electric drive, the clutch and a freewheel, and the clutch is used to start the internal combustion engine by transmitting a torque, supplied by the electric drive or the drivetrain, by a frictionally locking connection to the electric drive or the drivetrain, or for disconnecting the internal combustion engine from the drivetrain for purely electric driving. In a method for avoiding safety-critical activation of a clutch in a hybrid module in which safety-critical driving situations are reliably prevented, a critical interference torque of the clutch is set as a function of ambient conditions of the motor vehicle and/or peripheral conditions of the vehicle, in order to set a safety distance to be maintained by the open clutch.
