Methods and systems for monitoring coupling of fifth wheels to kingpins
A fifth wheel system includes a fifth wheel configured to couple to a kingpin of a towed trailer such that vibrations are generated when the fifth wheel couples to the kingpin. A sensor in operative association with the fifth wheel and configured to sense the vibrations and generates vibration data. A controller receives the vibration data and processes the vibration data to detect a presence or an absence of a predetermined vibration component that occurs when the fifth wheel properly couples to the kingpin. An indicator indicates proper coupling of the fifth wheel to the kingpin when the predetermined vibration component is present.

MULTI-SPEED POWER TOOL WITH ELECTRONIC CLUTCH
A power tool and a method of operating a power tool including a motor, a clutch collar including a plurality of settings, a wireless transceiver operable to form a wireless connection with a remote device, and a processor coupled to the clutch collar and the wireless transceiver. The processor receives, via the wireless transceiver, a mapping including a plurality of torque levels corresponding to the plurality of settings. The processor detects that the clutch collar is set to a setting of the plurality of settings. The processor is further determines the torque level for the setting from the mapping and detects, during the operation of the power tool, that a torque of the power tool exceeds the torque level. The processor is also configured to generate an indication that the torque exceeds the torque level. The indication may include flashing a light, ratcheting the motor, and stopping the motor.

CLUTCH CONTROL FOR PROVIDING AN INDICATION TO A DRIVER
An illustrative example embodiment of a system for providing an indication to a driver includes a clutch that is at least partially automatically controllable and clutch control means configured to control the clutch in a manner that results in a haptic indication to a driver based on at least one predefined condition. In an example embodiment, the clutch control includes automatically adjusting an amount of clutch engagement to provide the haptic indication.
Method for preventing overheating of clutch for vehicle
A method for preventing overheating of a clutch for a vehicle may include determining, by a controller, whether a state of the vehicle satisfies a hill hold condition; acquiring, by the controller, a temperature of a clutch between an engine and a transmission when the hill hold condition is satisfied; applying, by the controller, a first torque having a predetermined square wave shape to the clutch when the temperature of the clutch reaches a first temperature; and applying, by the controller, a second torque having a predetermined sine wave shape to the clutch when the temperature of the clutch reaches a second temperature higher than the first temperature.
