DIFFERENTIAL APPARATUS
A differential apparatus includes: a differential mechanism that distributes an input driving force to a pair of side gears so as to allow differential motion therebetween; a differential case that accommodates the differential mechanism; and a clutch mechanism that transmits the driving force between the differential case and pinion shafts of the differential mechanism. The clutch mechanism includes: a slide member that is movable relative to the pinion shafts of the differential mechanism in the axial direction of the differential case and is non-rotatable relative thereto in the differential case; and an actuator that applies an axial moving force to the slide member. The slide member has on one end portion a first meshing portion. The differential case includes a disc-shaped first case member and a bottomed-cylindrical second case member that accommodates the differential mechanism. The second case member has a second meshing portion facing the first meshing portion.
Shaft driven self-powered landing gear with hubcap mounted gear reduction
A landing gear system includes wheel rotatably coupled to an axle. A driveshaft extends through a cavity formed in the axle and is rotatable about an axis. A planetary gear includes a sun gear operably coupled to the drive shaft and a planet gear operably engaging the sun gear. The planetary gear further includes a ring gear that surrounds and is operably coupled to the planet gear so that rotation of the drive shaft rotates the ring gear. A clutch assembly is selectively moveable between an engaged state and a disengaged state. The clutch assembly transfers rotation of the ring gear to the wheel when the clutch assembly is in the engaged state, and the clutch assembly does not transfer rotation of the wheel to the ring gear when the clutch assembly is in the disengaged state.
Surgical dissectors configured to apply mechanical and electrical energy
A surgical instrument comprising an end effector is disclosed. The end effector comprises a surgical dissector. The surgical dissector can apply mechanical and/or electrosurgical energy to treated tissue.
CLUTCH ASSEMBLY FOR COUPLING AND DECOUPLING CLUTCH MEMBERS
In some implementations, the device may include a first member having a locking structure and a second member having a receiving area. The device may include a locking element supported in the receiving area of the second member, the locking element moving between an engaged position where the locking element holds or transfers torque between the first and second members and a disengaged position where the locking element holds or transfers no torque between the first and second members. The locking element includes a socket. Moreover, the device may include a reciprocating member in the socket when the locking element is in the disengaged position.
PULLEY FOR A MOTOR VEHICLE ENGINE
A pulley unit has a hub configured to be connected to a crankshaft, a pulley coaxial to the hub and supported in a rotationally free manner with respect thereto, a clutch interposed between the hub and the pulley, and an actuator for controlling the clutch. The clutch has an inner disc rotationally coupled to the hub and having an engagement portion housed inside the pulley, a mobile member axially movable between an engagement position in which the mobile member rotationally couples the pulley to the engagement portion of the inner disc and a disengagement position in which the pulley is rotationally free with respect to the inner disc, and an elastic element acting on the mobile member to push it towards the engagement position.

Surgical suturing instrument configured to manipulate tissue using mechanical and electrical power
A surgical instrument comprising a jaw assembly is disclosed. The surgical instrument further comprises a motor-driven drive system configured to open the jaw assembly. The surgical instrument also comprises a control system configured to control the drive system and, also, control a power supply system configured to supply electrical power to electrodes defined in the outer surface, or outer surfaces, of the jaw assembly. In use, the surgical instrument can be used to apply mechanical energy and electrical energy to the tissue of a patient at the same time, or at different times. In certain embodiments, the user controls when the mechanical and electrical energies are applied. In some embodiments, the control system controls when the mechanical and electrical energies are applied.
Washing machine
A washing machine includes a washing tub rotatably disposed to accommodate laundry, a pulsator rotatably disposed in the washing tub, a drive shaft to rotate the pulsator, a dehydration shaft to be connected to the washing tub and through which the drive shaft passes, a solenoid to form a magnetic field when a current is applied, a fixing core to surround the solenoid, and a clutch to couple and uncouple the drive shaft and the dehydration shaft. The clutch includes an armature to be lifted by a magnetic force of the solenoid, and a clutch coupler to be elevated along the dehydration shaft, perform coupling between the drive shaft and the dehydration shaft in a first position, and perform uncoupling between the drive shaft and the dehydration shaft in a second position lifted from the first position.

Position Sensor Assembly
A position sensing assembly for sensing a position of a ferromagnetic element. The position sensing assembly includes a magnet creating a magnetic field. A position transducer is disposed within the magnetic field created by the magnet. A housing defines an interior for housing the magnet and the position transducer therein. The housing defines a housing body and a transducer protrusion extending out from the housing body. The position transducer is housed within the transducer protrusion allowing the position transducer to extend out and away from the magnet while maintaining a parallel orientation with the magnet.
