POWER TRANSMISSION PATH SWITCHING DEVICE AND TWO-STAGE TRANSMISSION
A power transmission path switching device has a friction engaging device; a rotation transmission state switching device comprising a first member and a second member arranged coaxial with each other and having: a free mode and/or a one-way clutch mode allowing rotation of the first member with respect to the second member, and a lock mode preventing rotation of the first member with respect to the second member; and a control device that, when connecting the friction engaging device and setting the rotation transmission state switching device to the lock mode, has a function of connecting the friction engaging device, and then while maintaining the friction engaging device in a connected state, switches the rotation transmission state switching device to the lock mode.
ARM PROSTHETIC DEVICE
A system for powering a prosthetic arm is disclosed. The system includes at least one internal battery located in the prosthetic arm, at least one external battery connected to the prosthetic arm, and a master controller configured to connect either the at least one internal battery or the at least one external battery to a power bus to power the prosthetic arm.
Safety Brake For a Lifting Device
A method and a safety brake for a lifting device, wherein a solenoid or another electromechanical actuator is used to actuate a pawl, where the position of the pawl is monitored via at least two switches or sensors, where the lowering motion of the load or the lifting device is monitored and the safety brake is triggered in the event of a fault via a safety-oriented controller and at least one sensor, where the solenoid or the pawl is arranged such that, via spring force and/or gravity, the pawl is brought into engagement when the actuator, for example, the solenoid, is deenergized such that it is possible to exactly define and monitor the limit speed and, by using the two sensors, it is also possible to monitor the function and the motion of the pawl and to detect undesired operating states.
Centrifugal lift-off ratcheting one-way clutch with rocker pockets
A one-way clutch, including: an outer race including a first outer race plate defining a first rocker pocket and a second outer race plate non-rotatably connected to the first outer race plate and defining a second rocker pocket; an inner race axially disposed between the first outer race plate and the second outer race plate; and a rocker assembly including a rocker arranged to contact the inner race and including a first portion disposed in the first rocker pocket and a second portion disposed in the second rocker pocket, a spring guide retained by the first outer race plate and the second outer race plate, and a spring engaged with the spring guide and in contact with the rocker.
Shiftable bidirectional freewheel clutch device, and drive device for a motor vehicle comprising the clutch device
A clutch device includes at least one first blocking element, at least one second blocking element at least one first actuation element, and at least one second actuation element. The second blocking element in a second release position is arranged completely outside of a recess and in the second blocking position engaging in the second recess by passing through the second through-opening in order thereby to fix together rotationally the components in a second rotational direction opposite to the first rotational direction.
OVERRUNNING, NON-FRICTION COUPLING AND CONTROL ASSEMBLY, ENGAGEABLE COUPLING ASSEMBLY AND LOCKING MEMBER FOR USE IN THE ASSEMBLIES
An overrunning, non-friction coupling and control assembly, an engageable coupling assembly and locking members for use in the assemblies are provided. A centroid or center of mass of at least one of the locking members is substantially centered on a pivot axis of the locking member so that the locking member is substantially centrifugally neutral or balanced thereby making the locking member easier to pivot between engaged and disengaged positions with respect to the coupling members of its corresponding assembly at high rotational speeds.
Selectable one-way clutches with notch plate inserts for engine disconnect devices of motor vehicle powertrains
Presented are clutch-type engine disconnect devices, methods for making/using such disconnect devices, and motor vehicles equipped with such disconnect devices. An engine disconnect device includes a notch plate, which has multiple notches and attaches to a torque converter, and a pocket plate, which has multiple pockets and attaches to an engine's crankshaft. A pawl is movably mounted within each notch; these pawls selectively engage the notches with the pockets. A notch plate insert is nested within each notch, supporting thereon one of the pawls. A selector plate interposed between the pocket and notch plates moves from a first position, to shift the pawls out of engagement with the pockets, and a second position, to move the notch plate inserts within the notches and allow the pawls to engage the notches with the pockets to thereby lock the notch plate to the pocket plate to rotate in unison with each other.
LOAD CELL FOR DETERMINING A RADIAL FORCE ACTING ON A CRANKSHAFT
A load cell for determining a radial force acting on a crankshaft includes a receiving sleeve for receiving a ring of a bearing; a fastening ring for attaching the load cell in a transmission housing; axial support areas provided on the fastening ring for axially supporting the ring of the bearing; and measuring regions for receiving radial forces of the receiving sleeve and which connect the receiving sleeve with the fastening ring, wherein strain sensors are attached to at least two of the measuring regions; and wherein the measuring regions comprise measuring lugs formed as angle brackets.
Aircraft cabin blower system
An aircraft cabin blower system comprises a cabin blower including a compressor configured to provide air to a cabin of the aircraft; a variable drive system configured to drive the compressor and including an electric variator and a summing gearbox; and a main transmission configured, when operating in a blower mode, to receive mechanical power from a gas turbine engine and input mechanical power to the summing gearbox in a forward direction; and configured, when operating in a starter mode, to receive mechanical power from the summing gearbox and input mechanical power to the gas turbine engine. The aircraft cabin blower system further includes a first one-way rotation device adapted to permit free rotation of the main transmission in the forward direction and to prevent rotation of the main transmission in a reverse direction opposite to the forward direction.
