COIL SPRING DEVICE
A coil spring device includes: a main body spring and an insulator, the insulator is provided with a support groove which extends around a coil axis and into which a lower end portion of the main body spring is fitted, the lower end portion of the main body spring adheres to an inner surface of the support groove, the inner surface of the support groove is provided with a plurality of spacer protrusions which support an outer peripheral surface of a wire rod, a plurality of adjacent spacer protrusions adjacent to an open end edge of the support groove of the plurality of spacer protrusions each includes a pair of side wall surfaces extending toward the open end edge and are provided at intervals therebetween in an extension direction of the open end edge in a plan view of a part including the open end edge in the inner surface of the support groove, and inclination angles of the side wall surfaces adjacent to each other in the extension direction with the interval therebetween with respect to an orthogonal direction orthogonal to the open end edge are different from each other in the plan view.
COIL SPRING DEVICE
A coil spring includes a main body spring and an insulator, the insulator is provided with a support groove which extends around a coil axis and into which a lower end portion of the main body spring is fitted, a lower end portion of the main body spring adheres to an inner surface of the support groove, the inner surface of the support groove is provided with a plurality of spacer protrusions which support an outer peripheral surface of a wire rod, the support groove extends in an angle range of 180° or more and 360° or less around the coil axis, and a ratio of a volume of the spacer protrusions occupying a gap between the inner surface of the support groove and the outer peripheral surface of the wire rod at a center portion in the gap in a circumferential direction around the coil axis is larger than that at the other portions in the gap in the circumferential direction.
Linear compressor
A linear compressor includes a shell, a motor in the shell, a mover coupled to the motor and configured to perform a reciprocating motion in an axial direction, a cylinder disposed in the shell, a piston coupled to the mover and configured to reciprocate in the cylinder, a spring that supports the piston in the axial direction, and a spring cap inserted into an end portion of the spring. The spring cap defines a space portion that is defined inside the spring cap and has a volume separate from the inner space of the shell, and a passage portion that extends through an axial side surface of the spring cap and is configured to provide communication between the space portion and the inner space of the shell.
Suspension thrust bearing device and suspension strut equiped with such a device
A suspension thrust bearing device for use with a suspension spring in an automotive suspension strut of a vehicle. The device includes an upper annular bearing member and a lower annular bearing member in relative rotation. The lower annular bearing member having a body provided with an embedded stiffening insert. The device further provides a damping element made of resilient material and interposed between the lower annular bearing member and the suspension spring. A radial flange of the damping element prevents separation from the lower side of the radial flange of the lower cap.
SPRING GUIDE AND SUSPENSION DEVICE
A spring guide includes: a main body portion of which a coil spring is placed on a vehicle side, the main body portion being formed of a resin material; and a covering portion that covers an anti-spring side of the main body portion opposite to the coil spring. The covering portion is formed of a material having a physical property different from that of the resin material forming the main body portion.
Hollow coil spring and suspension device for vehicle
A method of manufacturing a hollow coil spring which is made of a hollow wire in which a terminal sealed portion is formed on an end portion of the wire. The terminal sealed portion has a rotationally symmetric shape in which an axis passing through the center of the wire is the symmetric axis. The hollow coil spring includes an end wall portion, and an end face arc-shaped curved surface. The end wall portion includes an end face perpendicular to the axis. A distal-end-center closure portion is formed on the axis at the center of the end wall portion. A spring seat includes a base member and a sheet member. An end turn portion of the hollow coil spring is in contact with the sheet member. The end face of the end turn portion is opposed to a stopper wall of the spring seat.
Spring assembly and process of producing a spring assembly
A spring assembly comprises a spring with a coating, a spring retainer made of plastic material, an adhesive layer by which the spring and the spring retainer are bounded adhesively to one another, wherein the hardness of the adhesive layer is lower than the hardness of the coating. Further, a process of producing such a spring assembly is provided.
Telescoping Vehicle Safety Guard
A safety guard for a vehicle, such as a school or transit bus, includes a skirt extending below a side body portion of the vehicle and between front and rear wheels along a side of the vehicle. The skirt functions to push individuals and other animate objects out of the path of the wheels for safety purposes, while being mounted for separate linear and arcuate movements relative to the body of the vehicle to protect the guard from damage upon abutting an inanimate object during operation of the vehicle.
VEHICLE STRUT ASSEMBLY
A vehicle strut assembly includes at least a strut member, a bearing assembly, a mounting bracket and a noise isolating member. The bearing assembly encircles an upper end portion of the strut member. The mounting bracket is configured to receive the bearing assembly with mounting bracket encircling the upper end portion of the strut member and further configured to attach to a portion of a vehicle body assembly of a vehicle. The noise isolating member is installed below the mounting bracket and along a surface of the bearing assembly reducing noises transmitted from the vehicle strut assembly to the portion of the vehicle body assembly.
