COIL SPRING JIG, COIL SPRING MANUFACTURING METHOD, AND COIL SPRING TESTING METHOD
A coil spring jig includes a spring support portion where one end of a coil spring is capable of being placed, a plurality of displacement regulating portions extending along an axis of the coil spring from the spring support portion with the coil spring supported by the spring support portion as a reference, capable of abutting against an outer peripheral surface of the coil spring, and regulating displacement of the coil spring in a radial direction of the coil spring, and a lid portion supported by the displacement regulating portions and capable of keeping the coil spring in a compressed state by sandwiching the coil spring together with the spring support portion.
SPRING ELEMENT FOR UPPER NIPPER OF A COMBING MACHINE
A spring element for an upper nipper of a combing machine has a first element with a through opening arranged transversely to a longitudinal axis. A second element has an internal thread for fastening a shaft adapter, and a guide opening with an opening width as well as a passage opening arranged in the longitudinal axis on a side of the guide opening facing away from the internal thread. A compression spring is arranged between the first and second elements. A connecting element is held in the bore of the first element and projects through the passage opening of the second element into the guide opening, the connecting element having a larger diameter than the passage opening on a side thereof opposite the first element. The first element has a tubular lug overlapping the compression spring, and the second element has a sleeve overlapping the compression spring and the lug.
Coined drawbars for drawbar assemblies
A drawbar assembly having a first continuous drawbar having an open end, a closed end, and an elongate body extending therebetween along an axis, and a spring anchor formed at the open end; a second continuous drawbar having an open end, a closed end, and an elongate body extending therebetween along the axis, and a spring anchor formed at the open end; the first and second drawbars oriented with respect to each other such that at least a portion of each elongate body overlaps with the other along the axis and the open end of one drawbar is proximate the closed end of the other; and a compression coil spring positioned over the overlapping elongate body portions and secured at each end by a respective spring anchor; wherein a region of at least one closed end is coined.
PNEUMATIC ACTUATOR AND METHOD FOR OPERATING AN ACTIVE VIBRATION ISOLATION SYSTEM
A pneumatic actuator configured for a stationary vibration isolation system which serves to accommodate equipment for processing semiconductor devices. The pneumatic actuator comprises a working space with a piston which divides the working space into a first and a second pressure chamber, and the piston is spaced apart from an inner surface of the working space by a gap, and the piston is movable only in an axial direction.
HERMETIC COMPRESSOR
A hermetic compressor is provided. The hermetic compressor may include a compressor body spaced apart from an inner surface of a shell and including a motor unit and a compression unit; at least one support spring provided between the shell and the compressor body and that elastically supports the compressor body with respect to the shell; at least one stopper cap fixed to the inner surface of the shell or the compressor body facing the inner surface of the shell; and a stopper bar that extends from the compressor body or the inner surface of the shell and inserted into the at least one stopper cap with a predetermined distance therebetween. By mechanically restraining vibration of the compressor body and limiting amplitude of the compressor body, vibration noise of the compressor body may be reduced and the compressor body may be suppressed from being in contact with the shell to thereby prevent damage to the compressor body.
COIL SPRING, COIL SPRING HOLDER, AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
A coil spring includes a resilient portion having a first diameter defined by a first central axis that is hypothetical and an end coil abutting on one end of the resilient portion in an axial direction of the resilient portion. The end coil has a second diameter defined by a second central axis that is hypothetical and shifted from the first central axis of the resilient portion in parallelism with the first central axis of the resilient portion by a predetermined shift amount. A coupler has a first width that is smaller than the first diameter of the resilient portion and greater than a second width obtained by subtracting the predetermined shift amount from the first diameter of the resilient portion. The coupler is inserted into the end coil to secure the end coil to the coupler.
Aircraft spring assembly
An aircraft spring assembly includes a helical spring having a hollow core. A polymer damping member is confined within the core and is narrower than the internal spring diameter so as to be free to move along the core.
Telescoping Vehicle Safety Guard
A safety guard for a vehicle, such as a school or transit bus, includes a skirt extending below a side body portion of the vehicle and between front and rear wheels along a side of the vehicle. The skirt functions to push individuals and other animate objects out of the path of the wheels for safety purposes, while being mounted for separate linear and arcuate movements relative to the body of the vehicle to protect the guard from damage upon abutting an inanimate object during operation of the vehicle.
Load Relief Tie Rod
A method and apparatus are provided. A load relief tie rod comprises a body, a rod, and at least one pin extending from and perpendicular to the rod. The body has a cavity extending longitudinally through a cylindrical section of the body and two obround slots in the cylindrical section. The rod is configured to extend longitudinally within the cavity. The at least one pin extends through the two obround slots.
Thrust reverser compression rod engagement apparatus
A compression rod engagement apparatus is provided that includes an engagement feature, an engagement feature pin, and a mounting member. The engagement feature is attached to the engagement feature pin. The engagement feature pin is engaged with the mounting member in a home position and axial travel of the engagement feature pin along a lengthwise axis away from the home position in either axial direction is resisted by at least one spring force.
