Coaxial spring damper device and system
A spring damper device comprising a directional spring (e.g., coil) having first and second ends, and defining an inner diameter region. A damper (e.g., viscoelastic polymer slug) comprising an element of elasticity configured to be situated within the inner diameter region of the directional spring. In response to a load on the spring damper device, the directional spring operates to compress, and the damper operates to dampen vibration associated with the load. The damper can comprise a viscoelastic damper comprising both an element of viscosity and the element of elasticity. The damper can be substantially coaxially aligned with the directional spring. Spring damper device(s) can be preloaded in a micro adjustment mechanism to account for positional adjustments between two structures (e.g., between a scope and a firearm), such that the spring(s) attenuate a shock impulse event (e.g., when firing), while the damper(s) attenuate vibration (e.g., to prevent damage the scope).
Damping Stopper
A damping stopper is interposed between two members axially displaced relative to each other and is provided with an elastic body which, when the interval between the two members decreases, is axially compressed by the two members and expands radially outward. In the elastic body, a second member suppressing the expansion is located in one axial region and attached to the outer periphery. When axially compressed by the two members, the elastic body expands while receiving resistance by the second member. The expanding elastic body contacts the side wall of one of the two members.
Method and system for dynamically adjusting bearing support stiffness and damping
A bearing support system includes a bearing disposed within a bearing housing. A bearing damper is disposed around the bearing and includes one or more knitted mesh pads. A compression ring is positioned to be movable relative to the bearing housing and to apply a compression to the bearing damper that results in a change in at least one of a length and a wall thickness of each knitted wire mesh pad and a corresponding change in the stiffness and bearing of the damper. The system supports rotation of a shaft and may include one or more sensors to measure vibrations in the shaft and a controller to control movement of the compression ring in response to the mechanical vibrations.
ENERGY DAMPENING SYSTEMS
Energy dampening and/or dispersing systems may include a gel member having a top surface and a bottom surface, an aerated gel member having a top surface and a bottom surface, and the top surface of the aerated gel member secured to the bottom surface of the gel member. In some embodiments, the energy dampening and/or dispersing systems may include a support structure secured to the gel member, and a cover extending over the top surface of the support structure and the bottom surface of the aerated gel member. The energy dampening and/or dispersing systems may be operable in ballistic garments, footwear, sporting goods, and vehicles.
Vibration damper having an adjustable damping force
A vibration damper with an adjustable damping force may comprise an inner cylinder having at least one working chamber, an outer cylinder that surrounds the inner cylinder, and at least one damping valve element that in terms of flow is connected via a flow connection to the working chamber. An adapter sleeve may guide the flow connection, with the adapter sleeve being inserted in the inner cylinder on an internal circumference of the inner cylinder. The flow connection may be guided into the damping valve element by way of a flow opening that is configured in a wall of the inner cylinder.
MASS DAMPER FOR VEHICLE AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM
A mass damper for a refrigerant pipe is configured to insulate vibration and noise of the refrigerant pipe for the flow of a refrigerant circulating in a vehicle air conditioner system and a mass damper for a vehicle air conditioner system is configured to prevent an external circumferential surface of a casing from cracking due to thermal deformation.
Sealing member and vibration damping device including the same
A sealing member according to the present invention is a sealing member against a synthetic oil containing an ester-type additive, and includes 95.0% by mass or more and 99.5% by mass or less of a para-phenylene diisocyanate-based polyurethane and 0.5% by mass or more and 5% by mass or less of a same compound as the ester-based additive. The sealing member according to the present invention has a smaller friction coefficient and more excellent deformability than conventional sealing members and that can inhibit swelling caused by a synthetic oil.
Wafer cushion
Wafer cushions for use in wafer carriers include spring beams that include a first arm extending from the frame of the wafer cushion in a first direction and a second arm extending from the first arm in a second direction, and a wafer contact at the end of the second arm opposite where the second arm is joined to the first arm. The wafer cushion may contact a substrate within the wafer carrier only at the wafer contacts during normal conditions. The substrate may also contact secondary contact points on the second arm when a shock event occurs. The wafer contact can be v-groove style wafer contact. The wafer contact may include a contact surface having a convex surface where it is configured to contact the wafer.
Manufacturing method of spring pad for automobile suspension system using foam injection molding
Disclosed herein is a manufacturing method of a spring pad interposed among a spring used in an automobile suspension system and an upper sheet and a lower sheet for supporting the spring, wherein the spring pad includes an insulator getting in contact with the spring to absorb shock and forming a body of the spring pad, and is manufactured through foam injection molding of the insulator to be lightweight.
Elastic bush and motor using same
An elastic bush and an electric motor using the elastic bush are proposed. The elastic bush includes a bush body having in a central portion thereof a coupling hole into which a rotating shaft is inserted, a circular separation plate spaced apart from an end of the bush body in an extending direction of the rotating shaft and coming into close contact with a neighboring associated component, and a plurality of connecting legs each connected at both ends thereof to the bush body and the separation plate, and elastically deformed to vary a relative distance between the bush body and the separation plate. An entire length of the elastic bush is varied through elastic deformation. Therefore, a gap between two components located on both sides of the elastic bush, such as a front bush and an armature assembly, may be more effectively reduced.
