MODULAR ATTACHMENT DEVICE FOR INSERTION INTO A PLURALITY OF STRANDS OF A BRAIDED ROPE
A modular attachment device for insertion into a plurality of strands of a braided rope, comprising: at least one braiding segment that is braidable into the plurality of strands; at least one first lateral fixation segment that is mountable to the at least one braiding segment at a first lateral attachment interface; and at least one second lateral fixation segment that is mountable to the at least one braiding segment at a second lateral attachment interface, wherein at least one of the first and second lateral fixation segments comprises at least one anchor point for attachment of an external component, and wherein the first and second lateral fixation segments are mountable to the at least one braiding segment for securing the plurality of strands on the at least one braiding segment.
STEEL CABLE ADJUSTMENT TERMINAL AND METHOD FOR USING SAME
Steel wire rope adjuster terminal consisting of a piece of equipment designed to be assembled on a steel wire rope in order to form one of the two fastening ends thereof by means of a system for adjusting the length of the steel wire rope and then locking it, which is based on a fixed component comprising an internal box in which a cam can rotate until it forms a channel by means of respective grooves wherein the steel wire rope can slide if it is not bearing a load, and in which the cam is activated and trapped against the fixed component when the wire rope is bearing a load, so that the system does not damage the wire rope in any way and it can be unlocked in a completely reversible way.
ROPE FASTENING ARRANGEMENT OF HOISTING DEVICE
A rope fastening arrangement of a hoisting device, which comprises a rope drum, a fastening device having a chamber which defines the vertical boundary dimensions, the horizontal boundary dimensions, and depth direction boundary dimensions of the fastening device, a hoisting rope and a hoisting member which by means of the hoisting rope ascends and descends supported by the fastening device and rope drum. Said rope fastening arrangement further comprises that the hoisting rope (4) is locked to the fastening device by wedging, whereby the fastening device guides the first end of the hoisting rope away so that the first end of the hoisting rope does not extend outside the vertical boundary dimensions of the chamber.
Rope Coupling Apparatus
A rope coupling apparatus configured for connecting or terminating a rope without the use of rope knots or terminations is disclosed. The rope coupling apparatus may include a retainer member with a first portion, a second portion and opposing side portions, an opening through the first portion of the retainer member, a rope receiver on the second portion of the retainer member; and a plurality of notches disposed on one or both of the opposing side portions of the retainer member.
Rope Anchor
A rope anchor with a J-shaped a body having a hook and spine. The end of the spine has an attachment hole for a rope and an elongated, teardrop-shaped rope slot that is either enclosed or gated. The gate is biased closed to span the open side of the rope slot and pushed opened to allow access for a rope. A tip, composed of a flat chip of metallic material, fits into a slot at the end of the hook. The tip is generally triangular with two or three sharp corners, or square or rectangular with four sharp corners. The slot orients the tip so that only one of the sharp corners is exposed, or so that two adjacent sharp corners are exposed. When an exposed sharp corner is not suitable for use, the tip can be reoriented to expose a different sharp corner.
Tie post for reusable twist tie and twist tie having tie post integrally formed thereon
A tie post for use with a reusable twist tie, the tie post including: a first end being configured for removable attachment to the reusable twist tie; a post extending in a longitudinal direction from the first end configured for wrapping an elongated portion of the reusable twist tie around the post; and a second end having a surface for preventing the wrapped elongated portion of the reusable twist tie from moving in the longitudinal direction off of the post. The tie post can also be integrally formed on one of first and second end caps provided on the reusable twist tie.
LIGATURE ATTACHMENT DEVICE
A ligature attachment device for use with a ligature is disclosed, the ligature attachment device comprising a proximal section comprising a loop retainer section, a distal section comprising a tool section, a central section comprising a central ligature spool section having a centrally located cinch aperture and the central ligature spool section is coupled to the loop retainer section and the tool section. The loop retainer section having a loop retainer profile configured to retain a loop of the ligature frictionally engaged with the central ligature spool section. The cinch aperture having an aperture shape configured to allow at least two sections of a ligature to be removably retained in the cinch aperture whereby the cinch aperture can removably retain the loop of the ligature. The tool section comprises a first tool for removably joining a second tool.
REEL BASED CLOSURE SYSTEM
A reel based closure device includes a housing, a tension member, a spool that is rotatably positioned within the housing, and a tightening component that is positioned axially above the spool and that is operably coupled therewith so that an operation of the tightening component causes the spool to rotate within the housing to wind the tension member about the spool. The reel based closure device also includes a coupling component that is separate from the tension member and that frictionally engages with a distal end of the tension member so that the coupling component is removably fixed to the tension member. The spool component includes a coupling feature within which the coupling component is positioned to attach the tension member to the spool.
SOFT SHACKLE AND METHOD OF MAKING
An improved button shackle (2) and method of making the same. The button shackle (2) generally comprises a single length of braided rope (3) noosed at one end by looping one end of the rope and running it back through itself, such that the end passes through the braids, to form a noose. The two ends of the rope are then woven together to form an eye, and a novel two-piece button (4) is inserted onto the eye. The two-piece button includes an inner disk (12) formed with opposing yokes (22, 24) for receiving the rope (3), and an outer collar (14) for holding the rope (3) captive once inserted into the yokes (22, 24).
Rope tensioning device
A rope tensioning device for removing slack in a rope includes a plate, which has a hole positioned therethrough. A tongue engaged to and extending from the plate is can be inserted into a loop of a rope inserted through the hole so that the rope is slidably engaged to the plate. The rope has a first end secured to an object, positioning a user to extend a second end of the rope through or around an anchoring element. An L-shaped protrusion engaged to and extending from the plate defines a groove. The rope extending back from the anchoring element can be inserted into the groove. The user is positioned to knot the rope so that the rope is engaged to the plate. The plate then can be slid along the rope toward the object to tension the rope.
