Actuator and planetary gear apparatus with uneven crowning
Disclosed herein are actuator, planetary-gear apparatus, and structural-unit embodiments configured to reduce noise and vibration caused by operation of planetary gears. An embodiment may include a ring gear having an outer peripheral surface that extends in the axial direction. A first raised portion may be formed on said outer peripheral surface; and a housing having an inner peripheral surface that is provided facing, and with a gap from, the outer peripheral surface of the ring gear. A second raised portion may be formed on said inner peripheral surface. Movement of the ring gear in the circumferential direction is limited by linear contact or point contact between the first raised portion and the second raised portion, for example. The outer peripheral surface and/or the inner peripheral surface may be a surface of a crowned shape that is bowed in the outer radial direction, according to some further embodiments.
Mechanical reduction gear of an aircraft turbomachine
A mechanical reduction gear of a turbomachine, in particular of an aircraft. The reduction gear includes a sun gear, a ring gear surrounded by a ring gear carrier, and planet gears meshed with the sun gear and the ring gear. The ring gear carrier includes an axial abutment on which the ring gear is configured to bear, and helical external splines which are engaged in complementary internal splines of the ring gear carrier and which are configured to cooperate by sliding with the internal splines so as to force the ring gear to be held against the abutment in operation.
Transmission for electric car with improved one-way clutch
Provided are an electric vehicle transmission including an improved one-way clutch.
An electric vehicle transmission includes a sun gear unit connected to a transmission motor, a plurality of planetary gear units connected to the sun gear unit, and a ring gear unit connected to the planetary gear units, and further includes a cage unit arranged to surround the plurality of planetary gear units at an inner side thereof, a housing unit arranged at an outer side of the cage unit and having a hollow therein, at least one guide unit arranged between the cage unit and the housing unit, and an adjustment unit configured to adjust a position of the cage unit with respect to the housing unit.
Device with a Decoupled Cylinder Sleeve
A device includes a cylinder sleeve (3, 13), which is at least indirectly arranged at a housing (7) and at least three radially outward extending journals (5). Each journal (5) comes to rest, at least on one side, against a roller element (6a, 6b) accommodated at the housing (7) in order to support the cylinder sleeve (3, 13) on the housing (7) in at least one tangential direction. The device can be designed, in particular, as a planetary transmission or as an electric machine.
Diameter saving ring gear flexure
A ring gear assembly includes a ring gear, a gear box case, and a set of bolts. The ring gear includes a set of gear teeth inside the ring gear and arranged in a circle around the ring gear axis. The ring gear further includes a set of flanges arranged along at least one side of the ring gear. Each flange has a respective flange bolt hole therethrough, and each flange bolt hole has a respective bolt axis that is oriented perpendicular to the ring gear axis. The gear box case has a set of gear box bolt holes therethrough, each gear box bolt hole corresponding to a respective one of the flange bolt holes. Each of the bolts passes through a respective one of the gear box bolt holes and its corresponding flange bolt hole to fasten the ring gear to the gear box case.
Fan drive gear system with improved misalignment capability
An epicyclic gear assembly includes a carrier that includes a first plate axially spaced from a second plate. At least one epicyclic gear set is located between the first plate and the second plate. The first plate is configured to rotate with an output of the epicyclic gear assembly. A first bearing race is attached to the first plate for supporting a first bearing. A second bearing race is attached to the second plate for supporting a second bearing.

Deflection limiter for a gas turbine engine
A gas turbine engine includes a turbine section that includes a fan drive turbine. A geared architecture includes a sun gear in driving engagement with the fan drive turbine. A plurality of planet gears surrounds the sun gear. A ring gear surrounds the plurality of planet gears. A deflection limiter mechanically attaches the ring gear to an engine static structure. The deflection limiter includes a first support fixed to the ring gear that has a first interlocking feature and a second support fixed to the engine static structure that has a second interlocking feature. The first and second interlocking features define at least one of a radial clearance of between 0.005 inches (0.127 mm) and 0.080 inches (2.032 mm) or a circumferential clearance of between 0.005 inches (0.127 mm) and 0.250 inches (2.032 mm). A fan section includes a plurality of fan blades in driving engagement with the geared architecture through a fan drive shaft.
Dispensing device for dental material
A dispensing device for dental material, which includes a planetary gear drive with at least three planet gears in engagement with an annulus gear. The annulus gear is radial float-mounted relative to the planet gears. A radial force applied on the annulus gear urges the annulus gear into an off-center relationship with respect to an imaginary circle on which the planet gears are arranged.
