A transmission shifting assistance device, in particular for a motorcycle, is provided. The transmission shifting assistance device, which allows shifting when the clutch is closed, includes a housing, a piston arranged in the housing, and at least one pressure spring provided in the housing. The piston may be moved relative to the housing by compressing at least one pressure spring. Furthermore, transmission shifting assistance device further includes a locking device separate from the at least one pressure spring. The locking device fixes the piston in a neutral position relative to the housing below a predetermined unlocking force exerted on the piston or the housing.

Shift device

There is provided a shift device for a straddle-type vehicle that is configured to cause a transmission device to perform a shift change in accordance with rotation of a shift shaft. The shift device includes: a shift lever provided with an operation portion that is configured to receive a shift operation; a shift sensor provided on the shift shaft so as to be integrally rotatable with the shift shaft; and a shift rod that couples the shift lever and the shift sensor. The shift sensor is configured to detect the shift operation on the shift lever in accordance with a movement of the shift rod. The operation portion and the shift sensor are positioned at the same side in a manner of sandwiching the shift rod.

The gearshift lever is disposed on the base. The gearshift detector is electrically connected to the shift actuator. The gearshift lever has a shift pedal, the shift pedal has a pivot portion, and the shift pedal is connected pivotally to the base by the pivot portion. The gearshift detector has a rotating element, and the rotating element is rotated coaxially with the pivot portion of the shift pedal. In the shift control device of a vehicle of the present invention, a signal wire will not be wrapped with other components, so transmission errors of mechanisms are reduced, and the structure is simple.

The shift sensor is configured to detect the shift operation on the shift lever in accordance with a movement of the shift rod. The operation portion and the shift sensor are positioned at the same side in a manner of sandwiching the shift rod in a vehicle side view.

A device and method check the position of a gearshift lever for a gearbox of a vehicle. The device is designed to determine first sensor data relating to the length of the selector travel of the selector shaft of the gearbox during at least one upshifting process which is brought about by the driver of the vehicle deflecting the gearshift lever in a first direction. The device is also designed to determine second sensor data relating to the length of the selector travel of the selector shaft of the gearbox during at least one downshifting process brought about by the driver of the vehicle deflecting the gearshift lever in a second direction. The device is designed to check the position of the gearshift lever on the basis of the first sensor data and on the basis of the second sensor data.
