The system also includes a sensor that observes a position of the creeper mode selection lever and generates sensor signals based thereon. The system includes a controller that processes the sensor data to determine a movement of the creeper mode selection lever and outputs one or more control signals to the electrohydraulic circuit to position the one or more range mode shift mechanisms in a range neutral mode based on the movement of the creeper mode selection lever.

A shift device for a vehicle includes a baseplate, a shift lever having a spherical shaft part at a lower end, and a control lever connected to the shift lever. A turning shaft part supported by the baseplate is provided at a lower part of the control lever outward of the spherical shaft part of the shift lever in a vehicle width direction, and the turning shaft part is configured to turn relative to the baseplate. The control lever has a branched part between the cable coupling part and the turning shaft parts, and the branched part is located above the spherical shaft part and branched in the vehicle width direction.

SELECTOR

A selector includes a lever guide, an operating lever, and a stopper. The lever guide has first and second movable-path slits therein. The first movable-path slit extends from a first position to a second position along a first direction. The second movable-path slit extends along a second direction different from the first direction as to intersect the first movable-path slit at an intersection position. The second movable-path includes a third position. The operating lever is movable in along the first and second movable-path slits. The operating lever is configured to move to the first position through the first and second movable-path slits. The stopper slides and contacts the operating lever when the operating lever moves from the third position to the first position. The stopper slides and contacts the operating lever when the operating lever moves from the first position to the third position. The stopper opens and closes an opening-and-closing target path out of the first movable-path slit between the second position and the intersection position in conjunction with a movement of the operating lever.

Shift device

A shift lever is movable from a home position in a left or rear direction. A reverse mode selection position is set in a route extending in the left direction from the home position. A drive mode selection position is set in a route extending in the rear direction from the home position.
