A groove follower is provided for cooperating with a shift groove of a shift drum of a multi-step sequential transmission for a motor vehicle, comprising a groove follower body, comprising at least one contact surface for contacting a lateral face of the shift groove of the shift drum, wherein at least part of the at least one contact surface is formed as part of an outer surface of a three-dimensional helix with a helix diameter and a helix pitch.

Axle assembly having a shift collar

An axle assembly having a drive pinion, a transmission, and a shift collar. The transmission may include a set of drive pinion gears. The shift collar may be rotatable about an axis with the drive pinion and may be moveable along the axis with respect to the drive pinion to selectively connect a member of the set of drive pinion gears to the drive pinion.

AXLE ASSEMBLY AND SHIFT MECHANISM FOR A SHIFT COLLAR

A shift mechanism having a biasing member that operatively connects a detent linkage to a linkage. The biasing member permits an actuator shaft of an actuator and the detent linkage to rotate about an actuator axis with respect to the linkage when a shift collar is inhibited from moving along the axis.

Multi-speed transmission

The present invention provides a multi-speed transmission including: a driving shaft rotated by an input rotational force; a plurality of driving gears coupled to the driving shaft to be rotated by the rotation of the driving shaft; a plurality of transmission gears engaged with the driving gears; a transmission shaft including a plurality of pawls moved in and out of the outer circumferential surface, and coupled to the transmission gears, specifically, selectively coupled to at least a few of the transmission gears according to the in and out-movement of the pawls; a transmission control means for selectively controlling the in and out-movement of the pawls; a plurality of driven gears engaged with at least a few of the transmission gears; and a driven shaft coupled to the plurality of driven gears and transferring the rotational force to an object to be driven.

SHIFT CONTROL APPARATUS OF AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION

A shift control apparatus of an automatic transmission includes: an input detecting unit configured to detect a real rotational speed of the input shaft; an output detecting unit configured to detect a real rotational speed of the output shaft; an estimating unit configured to estimate an estimated rotational speed of the input shaft, which corresponds to a shift request, by multiplying the real rotational speed of the output shaft by a target gear ratio; and a control unit configured to control the rotation of the input shaft based on a detection result from the input detecting unit. The control unit controls the rotation of the input shaft such that an upper-limiting rotational speed of a variation in real rotational speed of the input shaft is lower than the estimated rotational speed.

SHIFTING MECHANISM

A shifting mechanism in which an inclination of a sleeve with respect to a shift fork is reduced while maintaining a clearance between the shift fork and the sleeve. In the shifting mechanism, an engagement groove is formed entirely around a shift sleeve, and a cutout is formed on the engagement groove. A first diameter of the shift sleeve between predetermined sites of the bottom of the engagement groove within the cutouts is shorter than a second diameter of the shift sleeve between predetermined sites of the bottom of the engagement groove. A straight-line distance between the engagement ridges formed on both ends of the shift fork is longer than the first diameter but shorter than the second diameter.

TRANSMISSION ARRANGEMENT, DRIVE UNIT AND METHOD FOR OPERATING A DRIVE UNIT FOR A VEHICLE

Gear arrangement for a vehicle, having an input shaft, a layshaft, an output shaft connected to a drive wheel of the vehicle, a plurality of shiftable first gear wheel sets which connect the input shaft and the layshaft and which are each associated with at least one gear stage, and a machine gear connected to one of the shafts and into which the drive torque of an electric machine can be introduced. The first gear wheel sets form a first part-gear mechanism, wherein at least one second shiftable gear wheel set connects the layshaft and the output shaft and forms a second part-gear mechanism, wherein the at least one second gear wheel set is associated with at least one gear stage and wherein the machine gear is arranged in an axial direction between the first part-gear mechanism and the second part-gear mechanism.

AXLE ASSEMBLY AND SHIFT MECHANISM FOR A SHIFT COLLAR

An adjuster mechanism and an axle assembly that includes an adjuster mechanism. The adjuster mechanism may include a collar assembly that has a collar that may receive a shift collar, a follower, and an adjustment screw. Rotating the adjustment screw may move the collar assembly and the shift collar along an axis.
