The at least one of the gear and the planetary gear set is operably connected to a differential configured to transfer torque to two axle half shafts of the vehicle. At least one clutch configured to facilitate a plurality of gear ratios between the electric motor and the differential.
Power split and variable creep drive system for street sweeper or like specialty vehicle
A power split and creep drive system for street sweeper or like specialty vehicle having a single engine is disclosed. The system intends to retrofit and convert on-highway truck chassis into specialty vehicles capable of performing work function and moving at creeping speed, such as a street sweeper. It includes a hydraulic work circuit or power-take-off (PTO) port, a planetary gear set, a hydraulic system comprising pumps and motors to drive the working devices and balance the demand between propulsion and work function such as sweeping. The planetary gear set includes an input shaft connecting to a transmission output shaft of the chassis, a first output shaft connecting to a hydraulic machine, and a second output shaft to vehicle propulsion drive shaft.
REVERSE GEAR SYSTEM FOR VEHICLE
A system and method for operating the same includes a drive sprocket assembly, a clutch lever, a user interface generating a reverse signal at a user interface, a wheel speed sensor generating a wheel speed signal, a transmission position sensor generating a transmission position signal and a vehicle control module receiving the reverse signal, the wheel speed signal and the transmission position signal. The vehicle control module engages a reverse gear at a drive sprocket in response to the reverse signal, the wheel speed and transmission gear position and controls the drive sprocket assembly in response to the clutch lever.
Ankle movement capture and conversion into energy
A portion of ankle movement can be harnessed into stored energy that can be released for various purposes, such as to assist in movement or to charge a battery. This harnessing can be achieved in various manners. In one example manner, an offset pulley component can transfer ankle movement to a generator in a shoe insole. In another example manner, a slider can cause a brace arch to match an ankle arch such that the movement is appropriately harnessed.
Control system for hybrid vehicle
A control system for a hybrid vehicle configured to prevent a reduction in the purifying performance of the catalyst in a predetermined operating mode. An operating mode of the hybrid vehicle can be selected from a first hybrid vehicle mode, a second hybrid vehicle mode, and a fixed mode. A controller that is configured to restrict a shifting operation between the first hybrid vehicle mode and the second hybrid vehicle mode via the fixed mode, when the purifying device is being warmed or the purifying device has to be warmed.
POWER TRANSMISSION APPARATUS FOR HYBRID ELECTRIC VEHICLE
A power transmission apparatus of a hybrid electric vehicle may include a first shaft fixedly connected to an engine, a second shaft selectively connectable to the first shaft and fixedly connected to a motor-generator, a third shaft disposed on a same axis with the first shaft and selectively connectable to the second shaft, a fourth shaft disposed coaxially with the third shaft without rotational interference therebetween, a fifth shaft disposed in parallel with the third and fourth shafts and externally gear-meshed with the third and fourth shafts, a planetary gear set having three elements, one element being fixedly connected to the second shaft, another element being selectively connectable to a transmission housing, and a remaining element being fixedly connected to the fourth shaft, and four gear sets forming gear engagements between the first shaft, the second shaft, the third shaft, the fourth shaft and the fifth shaft.
MULTI-SPEED GEARBOX AND THE DRIVE AXLE MADE THEREWITH
A drive axle of a vehicle includes an electric motor having an output shaft. At least one of a gear and a planetary gear set is operably connected to the output shaft of the electric motor. The at least one of the gear and the planetary gear set is operably connected to a differential configured to transfer torque to two axle half shafts of the vehicle. At least one clutch configured to facilitate a plurality of gear ratios between the electric motor and the differential.
TRANSMISSION SYSTEM OF DECELERATING MECHANISM
A transmission system of a decelerating mechanism includes a planetary gear unit including a sun gear being adjacent to the first surface and a planetary gear set and a holder including a carrier and several planetary shaft units rotatably disposed on the carrier. The carrier has a first surface and a second surface that face opposite directions. The planetary gear set has several first gears being adjacent to the first surface, respectively fitting around the planetary shaft units, and meshing with the sun gear, several second gears being adjacent to the second surface and being coaxially disposed with the first gears, and an internal gear ring meshing with the second gears. By respectively arranging the first gears and the second gears on two opposite sides of the carrier, mutual interference therebetween while turning could be avoided, and an overall volume of the transmission system could be reduced.
Wearable planetary gear configuration
A wearable system, such as a footwear system, can employ a generator. The generator can be powered by human movement, such as movement of knee as a person walks or runs. When the knee resets, it can be desirable to have a relatively equal gear ratio to achieve near natural movement. Conversely, it can be desirable to have a high gear ratio when the knee pushes off to achieve high generator rotation to produce a high amount of power. This can be achieved with employment of a wearable planetary gear set configuration In practicing this wearable planetary gear set, torque can be provided from the source (e.g. human ankle joint) when power negative and not at other times during a movement cycle, meaning energy can be harvested from the walking motion without inducing additional burden to the device wearer.
