20170232971 · 2017-08-17 · ·

A method is provided for controlling a drivetrain of a vehicle, wherein the drivetrain comprises a multi-clutch transmission. The gear shift of the multi-clutch transmission is adapted to be performed either by power cut shift or by power shift dependent on predetermined vehicle shift conditions. The method includes detecting at least one of a plurality of indications of slippery road conditions and setting a slip risk factor, wherein the slip risk factor is dependent on the indication of slippery road conditions. If the slip risk factor is above a first predetermined threshold value the method further comprises controlling the multi-clutch transmission such that an upcoming gear shift is performed as a power-shift independently of if upcoming shift was determined to be performed as a power-cut shift or as a power shift.

ELECTRIC VEHICLE

The electrical vehicle includes a shift lever and a clutch pedal for pseudo-realizing the manual gear change operation of the MT vehicle, and a controller for controlling the operation of the electric vehicle. The shift lever is operated by the driver to select an arbitrary virtual gear stage mode from among a plurality of virtual gear stage modes in which torque characteristics with respect to the rotational speed of the electric motor are stepwise different. The clutch pedal is operated by the driver when the shift lever is operated. The controller calculates the virtual engine speed of the virtual engine based on the virtual gear stage mode selected by the shift lever and the operation amount of the clutch pedal, and displays the virtual engine speed on the display.

Vehicle

A vehicle includes a main body, a transmission having a plurality of gear stages, a data storage, and an electronic controller. The data storage stores vehicle running condition data that includes at least one of a prescribed vehicle running condition, a sensed vehicle running condition, or a transmitted vehicle running condition. The electronic controller determines a gear shift of the gear stages of the transmission based on a future vehicle speed that has been estimated based on the vehicle running condition data.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING ENGINE TORQUE ACCORDING TO TRANSMISSION HYDRAULIC PRESSURE
20230407967 · 2023-12-21 ·

A method of controlling engine torque according to transmission hydraulic pressure is performed by an engine torque control system of a vehicle. The method includes connecting an engine torque converter to an engine and an automatic transmission of the vehicle, calculating a required turbine torque after confirming an engine torque control condition, deriving and storing a value of turbine torque factor learning through turbine torque factor learning according to shift type and shift time, converting the stored value of turbine torque factor learning into an engine torque control value, and requesting the engine torque control value to be applied to engine output, by an engine torque controller during shifting of the automatic transmission, so that a new turbine torque calculation is performed through a hydraulic pressure reference at the beginning of physical shifting, thereby preventing a shift shock and transmission damage caused by unreasonably excessive or insufficient engine torque.

Electronic continuously variable transmission (ECVT) system and control method for the same

An electronic continuously variable transmission (ECVT) system applicable to a motorcycle includes a first speed sensor, second speed sensor, continuously variable transmission (CVT) and control unit. The control unit receives a user control signal and accordingly controls a speed-changing state of the CVT. While the motorcycle is operating in a manual-operation mode, the control unit predicts, according to the user control signal, a first speed signal sent from the first speed sensor, and a second speed signal sent from the second speed sensor, whether the next gear indicated by the shift request signal will cause the motorcycle to move unsteadily. If so, the control unit ignores the shift request signal and refuses to perform gear shifting. If not, the control unit sends at least a shift control signal to the CVT so that the CVT performs gear shifting.

Transmission control system

A transmission which includes input and output shafts and first and second step-down devices for producing various step-down ratios. The first and second step-down devices are associated with first and second controllable clutches, respectively, in order to connect, in a torque-transmitting manner, the respective step-down device between the input shaft and the output shaft. A first gear of the transmission is obtained by actuating the first clutch and a second gear by actuating the second clutch. A method of controlling a gearshift, from the first gear to the second gear, includes the steps of determining operating condition parameters of the transmission; and determining optimized degrees of actuation of the clutches by a search process related to a transmission model that determines the degrees of actuation on the basis of operating condition parameters in relation to a predetermined optimization criterion. The transmission model is based on slip.

A method controls a hybrid transmission for a motor vehicle that can operate according to at least two kinematic modes involving various connections of at least one internal combustion engine, at least one electric motor, and at least two drive wheels. The method includes controlling the transition between kinematic modes in accordance with the current kinematic mode during the start of the transition and a kinematic mode setting, if it is determined that the current kinematic mode is not equal to the kinematic mode of the transition and that the kinematic mode setting is not equal to the final kinematic mode, making a decision regarding the suitability of a transition interruption, during a change of request of the driver during which it is determined whether an interruption of the action is underway, and then continuing the transition or undertaking a new transition according to the result.

Electric vehicle having a simulated manual transmission

An electric vehicle includes a shift lever and a clutch pedal for simulating manual gear changes of a traditional vehicle equipped with an internal combustion engine and manual transmission, and includes a controller for controlling the operation of the electric vehicle. The driver operates the shift lever in a similar fashion to that of a traditional manual transmission shift lever, however the associated gear positions do not correspond to physical gears in a transmission but rather virtual gear stage modes that correspond to mapped torque characteristics with respect to the rotational speed of the electric motor. The clutch pedal is operated by the driver when the shift lever is operated. The controller calculates the virtual engine speed of the virtual engine based on the virtual gear stage mode selected by the shift lever and the operation amount of the clutch pedal, and displays the virtual engine speed on a display.
