MULTI-PART HOUSING SEAL, METHOD FOR THE AUTOMATED APPLICATION OF A MULTI-PART HOUSING SEAL, AND HOUSING COMPRISING A MULTI-PART HOUSING SEAL
Housing seals and methods seal off a housing interior from a housing exterior. The housing seals and methods comprise a first elastic adhesive strip and a second elastic adhesive strip, the first and second adhesive strips being arranged between a first housing element and a second housing element. The first adhesive strip comprises a first end portion having a first front side and a first edge face, and a second end portion having a second front side and a second edge face, and is arranged between the first housing element and the second housing element such that the second housing element, with the exception of the application gap, in a closed circulation.
Automated flowline leak sealing system and method
Automated flowline leak sealing can be implemented as a flowline sealing tool assembly. A sealing sleeve is configured to be positioned within a flowline with a circumferential leak. The sealing sleeve includes a pair of ends configured to be positioned on either side of the circumferential leak. A pair of sealing elements are attached to the pair of ends, respectively, and are configured to seal the pair of ends to an inner wall of the flowline on either side of the circumferential leak. A deployment tool includes a hollow cylinder configured to be inserted into and retracted from an inner volume defined by the sealing sleeve. The deployment tool is configured to activate the pair of sealing elements to seal the pair of ends to the inner wall of the flowline on either side of the circumferential leak in response to being retracted from the inner volume.
PIPELINE ISOLATION TOOL WITH SEAL HAVING ADAPTABLE MECHANICAL SUPPORT STRUCTURE
Pipeline isolation tool for sealing extrusion gaps of up to about 20% or greater includes a pair of fenced barriers (60, 160) having overlapping segments (68/70, 168/170) for restraining a seal (40). The segments expand to a pipe wall before the seal to prevent transition of seal medium over the segments and form a support wall for the seal. The support wall may include a protection ring (200). Springs (80, 180) surround each fenced barrier for returning the support system to a relaxed position. Inner rings (90. 190) are provided on sealing element facing surfaces (64, 164) of the fenced barrier for supporting the segments. The inner rings define a smooth inner guiding surface (92, 192) for the seal. The guiding surface is tilted inwardly towards the seal for resisting the sealing element during expansion and for preventing an inside diameter of the seal from expanding outwardly when compressed.
Method for assembling an elastomer seal spring in a connector assembly
The seal spring of the present invention has a dual functionality. The seal spring provides both a sealing property and spring function in use within an electrical connector system, which is accomplished by its elastomeric qualities. The seal spring is preferably comprised of Silicone, EPDM rubber or materials and compositions that provide similar performance during use, or the like. The seal spring of the present invention is not limited or defined into a spring section or a seal section by its geometry. Shown is an implementation of the seal spring within an outer housing and connector assembly. The seal spring compresses and provides adequate spring force against a tab or tabs within the outer housing. The seal spring also functions as an interface seal and an environmental seal during use. The seal spring is, substantially, in its entirety, of a contiguous and continuous single construction. No part or section of the seal spring is made up of welded, soldered, or brazen part or section.
Safely device for passage of pipes on boats
The present invention concerns in particular the nautical equipment sector, with particular reference to the installation of pipes on board of boats of any size and kind. In particular, the present invention deals with safety devices for routing pipes between different sectors of the hull, passing through the bulkheads separating the various vans/spaces/housings of a boat. More specifically, the present invention describes a device (1) for the passage of pipes (5) for liquids or gases through bulkheads and decks of yachts, mega yachts and naval vessels in general with fireproof characteristics preferably and in a particularly innovative way, even watertight/tight.
Annular seal assembly with axial load decoupling feature
An annular seal system for sealing between a casing hanger and a wellhead housing, the system including an actuator ring having a rigid portion and a flexible portion, and a lockdown ring positioned adjacent the actuator ring. The annular seal system further includes a seal assembly capable of moving from a de-energized position to an energized position, wherein when the seal assembly is in the de-energized position there is defined a space between the seal assembly and the rigid portion of the actuator ring, and when the seal assembly is in the energized position the space is closed, the rigid portion of the actuator ring contacts a surface of the casing hanger, and the flexible portion of the actuator ring pushes the lockdown ring into engagement with the wellhead, the flexible portion of the actuator ring adapted to axially compress to allow positional variation between the lockdown ring and the wellhead housing.
ELASTOMER SEAL SPRING
The seal spring of the present invention has a dual functionality. The seal spring provides both a sealing property and spring function in use within an electrical connector system, which is accomplished by its elastomeric qualities, The seal spring is preferably comprised of Silicone, EPDM rubber or materials and compositions that provide similar performance during use, or the like. The seal spring of the present invention is not limited or defined into a spring section or a seal section by its geometry. Shown is an implementation of the seal spring within a conductive female housing and connector assembly. The seal spring compresses and provides adequate spring force against a disk ferrule assembly, pressing the disk ferrule assembly, with a wire shield, against a conductive female outer housing, providing a grounding scheme for the connector assembly. The seal spring also seals against the female outer housing and a wire.
Device for the sealed passing-through of an elongate part
A device for the sealed closing of an opening for one or more elongate parts to pass through includes a sealing and/or clamping element with at least two interacting first and second parts that are axially displaceable relative to one another, and a pressure contour acting axially onto the sealing and/or clamping element. A first axial displacement of the pressure contour and an axial displacement of the at least one second part relative to the at least one first part causes a first change in geometry of the at least one first part transversely to the displacement direction. Also, a further axial displacement of the pressure contour causes a further change in geometry of the at least one first part transversely to the displacement direction such that the opening is sealed around the one or more elongate parts passing therethrough.
Information handling system housing cover inflatable seal
A portable information handling system main housing portion has a transparent cover removeably coupled at an upper surface and sealed with an inflatable seal to aid desired cooling airflow. A pump fills the inflatable seal after the transparent cover closes over the housing and deflates the inflatable seal before release of the transparent cover to an open position. In one embodiment, the transparent cover integrates a liquid crystal display that presents operating condition of processing components visible within the housing through the transparent cover.
HOUSING SEAL, METHOD FOR THE AUTOMATED APPLICATION OF A HOUSING SEAL, AND HOUSING COMPRISING A HOUSING SEAL
Housing seals and methods seal off a housing interior from a housing exterior. The housing seals and methods comprise an elastic adhesive strip that is arranged between a first housing element and a second housing element, wherein the adhesive strip comprises a first end portion having a first edge face, and a second end portion having a second edge face, wherein the adhesive strip and is arranged between the first housing element and the second housing element in such a way that the first and second edge faces lie substantially in a plane, the adhesive strip is arranged between the first housing element and the second housing element in a closed circulation, and the first edge face of the adhesive strip is in contact with the second edge face of the adhesive strip and forms a sealing gap.
