MECHANICAL SEAL ASSEMBLY
A mechanical seal assembly has two axially-spaced apart seals and including a rotary component that includes rotational members of each axially-spaced apart seal and a stationary component that includes stationary sealing members of each seal. A sleeve is located radially inwards of the rotational sealing members. An element, such as fluid ports, directs barrier or buffer fluid towards the sleeve and between the two axially-spaced apart seals. The sleeve is provided on its outer surface with means, such as recesses or protuberances, which displace barrier/buffer fluid axially towards both axially-spaced apart seals.
Sealing element for a doctor blade chamber
The invention relates to a sealing element for an ink chamber of a rotary printing press, wherein the sealing element has a sealing surface that rests against a roller body during operation of the rotary printing press. In order to reduce wear on the sealing element, the sealing surface has at least one flow outlet opening, at which an overpressure of a fluid may be built up during operation of the rotary printing press, in such a way that the fluid between the sealing surface and roller body forms a sealing flow film.
Carbon seal assembly
A seal assembly includes a carbon seal that has a sealing surface. A seal seat has a sealing surface and is positioned for rotation relative to the carbon seal. A diamond-like carbon coating at least partially forms the sealing surface on the seal seat.
Seal ring
Provided is a seal ring configured so that stable lubrication performance can be provided across a wide range of rotation speed. A seal ring for sealing a clearance between a rotary shaft and a housing includes; inclined grooves formed at a sliding surface so as to be arranged in a circumferential direction, the inclined grooves being closed on an outer diameter side thereof and configured to generate a dynamic pressure; and supply grooves opening on a sealed fluid side and communicating with an inner diameter side of the inclined grooves.
SEAL ELEMENTS FOR ANNULAR CONTROL DEVICES
A seal element for an annular control device includes an elastomer seal sleeve having an annular opening therein and arranged to be radially compressed to contact an exterior of a pipe disposed within the elastomer seal element. The elastomer seal sleeve comprises at least one of a wear resistant material disposed on an interior surface of the annular opening and a lubricant channel on the interior surface.
BEARING BOX FOR ROTATING ROLL THAT DELIVERS HIGH-TEMPERATURE SUBSTANCE(S)
A bearing box for a rotating roll that delivers a high-temperature substance. The bearing box includes a bearing portion and a seal portion provided adjacent to the bearing portion and includes a first cooling liquid passage that is formed on the outer peripheral side of the bearing portion and through which a cooling liquid passes, and a second cooling liquid passage that is formed on the radially inner side relative to the first cooling liquid passage and on the outer peripheral side of the seal portion, the second cooling liquid passage communicating with the first cooling liquid passage to cause the cooling liquid to pass therethrough.
BEARING BOX FOR ROTATING ROLLER, METHOD FOR COOLING BEARING BOX FOR ROTATING ROLLER, STEEL CONTINUOUS CASTING MACHINE, AND STEEL CONTINUOUS CASTING METHOD
A bearing box for a rotating roller for supporting or transporting a high-temperature object. The bearing box includes a bearing and seal units disposed therein. A cooling jacket is disposed at an outer periphery of the bearing box so that the cooling jacket covers at least a portion of an axial region of the bearing and at least a portion of an axial region of the seal unit. The cooling jacket has a cooling water inlet and a cooling water outlet, and the bearing box is cooled by cooling water supplied to the cooling jacket through the cooling water inlet.
WORKING CYLINDER FOR POWER TOOL WITH PISTON LUBRICATING SYSTEM
A fastener driving tool with a working cylinder and a piston, the piston outer surface having a lubricant-saturated foam material that stores and dispenses lubricant into the piston-cylinder wall interface, thereby increasing the performance and lifespan of the tool. Another embodiment discloses a two-part piston in which the bottom portion is made of metal and absorbs the main mechanical loading forces of the piston drive and return strokes, and the top portion is made of a non-metallic material that has surfaces that act as sliding bearings against the inner wall of the cylinder.
Seal system
The invention relates to a seal system (100, 200, 300) for an installation (400) for producing a three-dimensional workpiece by means of an additive layer manufacturing method, the seal system (100, 200, 300) comprising: a first seal (102), which is configured to seal an intermediate space (116) at a first periphery (108) between a process chamber inner wall (110) and a powder-material-supporting plate assembly (112) in a process chamber (410) of the installation (400); and a second seal (104), which is configured to seal the intermediate space (116) at a second periphery (114) between the process chamber inner wall (110) and the powder-material-supporting plate assembly (112) in the process chamber (410) of the installation (400), the first seal (102) being spaced apart from the second seal (104) such that, when the intermediate space (116) is sealed between the process chamber inner wall (110) and the plate assembly (112) by means of the first seal (102) and the second seal (104), a channel (106) is formed between the first seal (102) and the second seal (104) at an edge of the seal system (110).
OIL DEFLECTOR AND TURBOCHARGER
An oil deflector comprising: a cylindrical portion; a first guide surface extending radially outward from the cylindrical portion; and a second guide surface that is located on a radially outer side of the cylindrical portion and extends in a direction that crosses an outer peripheral surface of the cylindrical portion and the first guide surface.
