MECHANICAL SEALING DEVICE FOR SEALING LIQUID
20230013815 · 2023-01-19 · ·

A mechanical sealing device includes rotating and stationary rings, and rotating and stationary ring adaptors mounted around a rotating shaft. An end surface of the rotating ring adjoins an end surface of the stationary ring by means of springs. The sealing interface includes an adjoining point that is in contact with a liquid medium in an axial section of the device, and an annular peripheral rim surrounding the rotating and stationary rings for agitating the liquid medium. At least a part of the peripheral rim is formed with an inclined surface oriented toward the adjoining point, the inclined surface defining a start point close to the adjoining point and an end point away from the adjoining point in the axial section of the device. The start point is spaced apart from the adjoining point while the end point extends not beyond the adjoining point in the axial direction.

Seal ring

Provided is a seal ring configured so that stable lubrication performance can be provided across a wide range of rotation speed. A seal ring for sealing a clearance between a rotary shaft and a housing includes multiple static pressure grooves provided at a sliding surface of the seal ring and arranged in a circumferential direction, the static pressure grooves being opened on a sealed fluid side and closed on an outer diameter side, a circumferential length of each of the static pressure grooves being shorter than a radial length of each of the static pressure grooves.

SEALING ASSEMBLY AND TURBOMACHINE INCLUDING SAME

A sealing assembly and a turbomachine including the sealing assembly are provided. The sealing assembly includes a sealing body configured to be inserted into an insertion hole of a second component adjacent to a first component, and a sealing protrusion, formed on one circumferential side of the sealing body, protruding toward one circumferential direction from the sealing body and configured to be inserted into a sealing groove formed on the other circumferential side of a sealing body of the first adjacent sealing assembly, the sealing body of the first adjacent sealing assembly being adjacent to the sealing body in a circumferential direction.

WEAR RING AND WEAR RING ARRANGEMENT

A wear ring for guidance of two machine components are arranged movably relative to one another along/around a movement axis, which is formed in one piece from a plastic or a reinforced plastic material and which is slit such that it has two free ends. The wear ring has a cross-sectional width W, which at least sectionally, increases in a radial direction towards the rear side of the wear ring. The wear ring has one or more recesses formed on its front side and/or on its the rear side for increasing its deformability and thus facilitate mounting thereof in a mounting groove of a machine element. Furthermore, a wear ring arrangement with a wear ring can be clipped into a mounting groove of one of the machine components of the wear ring arrangement.

Provided is a seal ring configured so that stable lubrication performance can be provided across a wide range of rotation speed. A seal ring for sealing a clearance between a rotary shaft and a housing includes inclined grooves formed at a sliding surface so as to be arranged in a circumferential direction, the inclined grooves being open on an outer diameter side of the seal ring to generate a drawing pressure. The seal ring further includes supply grooves being open on a sealed fluid side of the seal ring and extending in a radially outward direction toward inner diameter sides of the inclined grooves.

SHAFT SEALING STRUCTURE

A shaft sealing structure includes a plurality of V-packings that are stacked in multiple stages, and each of the V-packings is formed of a thick-walled annular top portion, a thin-walled inner side skirt portion, and a thin-walled outer side skirt portion. Adjacent ones of the top portions abut against each other, adjacent ones of the inner side skirt portions do not interfere with each other, and adjacent ones of the outer side skirt portions do not interfere with each other.

Tribological body and method for producing such a body

The invention relates to a tribological body (10) comprising a body with a sliding surface (12) and at least one hollow space through which a fluid can flow. The body (10) consists of a first monolithic partial body (14) comprising the sliding surface (12) and of a second monolithic partial body (16) connected to the first one, wherein the hollow space is designed as a conduit (20) which runs at least in sections inside the second partial body and is delimited from the latter at least on the bottom side and the side surface sides.

PISTON SEALING RING ASSEMBLY HAVING A GAP COVER ELEMENT

The present disclosure provides a sealing ring assembly having a ring and one or more gap cover elements, configured to seal a high-pressure region from a lower pressure region of a piston and cylinder device. The ring may be segmented, and the gap cover elements may engage with interfaces between the ring segments. The gap cover elements are configured to move radially outward and wear as the ring wears. The gap cover elements may include, for example, wedge-shaped features that engage with corresponding wedge recesses in the interfaces. The sealing ring assembly may include a high-pressure boundary and a low-pressure boundary. As the sealing ring wears, the gap cover elements stay engaged with the interfaces, so that ring gaps do not form on the low pressure boundary.
