A base material of one of the sliding components is coated with a graphite film, and the sliding surface of the other of the sliding components is made of the graphite film.
Super wear-resistant floating seal ring and machining method and device therefor
A super wear-resistant floating seal ring, and a machining method and device therefor. The super wear-resistant floating seal ring includes: a ring body (4), wherein a working surface of the ring body (4) has a C-shaped groove (40); the C-shaped groove (40) is filled with a wear-resistant material layer (41) to form a super wear-resistant core ring; a slope protection structure (42) is provided on both sides of the C-shaped groove (40), and a slope surface (43) is provided under the slope protection structure (42) of the ring body (4); a pressing notch (44) is formed on the slope surface (43); and an insertion hole (45), which is corresponding to the pressing notch (44), is drilled on an internal diameter of the ring body (4). The machining method therefor includes steps of: preparing the ring body (4) of the floating seal ring; forming the C-shaped groove (40) on the ring body (4); filling the C-shaped groove (40) to form the wear-resistant material layer (41); forming the pressing notch (44) and the insertion hole (45), and installing the floating seal ring on three fan-shaped support plates (2); and installing the three fan-shaped support plates (2) on a grinder (1), and then grinding the wear-resistant material layer (41) of the floating seal ring with the grinder (1), in such a manner that a flatness and a smoothness of the working surface of the floating seal ring satisfy quality standards. A working life of the floating seal ring is prolonged, and the structure is simple to machining, which solves a problem of plane warping during grinding
Feather seal for CMC BOAS
A blade outer air seal assembly includes a support structure and a blade outer air seal having a plurality of segments extending circumferentially about an axis and mounted to the support structure. At least two segments have a base portion extending from a first circumferential side to a second circumferential side, a first protrusion extending from the first circumferential side and having a first slot, and a second protrusion extending from the second circumferential side and having a second slot. A feather seal is arranged in the first slot and the second slot between the at least two segments such that the feather seal is pivotable between first and second positions in response to relative movement between the first and second protrusions.
Reduced radial clearance seal system
A seal system for a gas turbine engine includes a seal runner manufactured of a Molybdenum alloy material that provides a first coefficient of thermal expansion and a seal ring manufactured of a graphitic material that provides a second coefficient of thermal expansion greater than the first coefficient of thermal expansion.
ACRYLIC RUBBER COMPOSITION AND RUBBER CROSSLINKED PRODUCT
An acrylic rubber composition includes an acrylic rubber and a specific antioxidant, wherein the acrylic rubber includes 15 to 55% by weight of methacrylic acid alkyl ester monomer units (a), 44.5 to 84.5% by weight of acrylic acid ester monomer units (b), and 0.5 to 4% by weight of carboxyl group-containing monomer units (c), and the content of the antioxidant is 0.1 to 5 parts by weight relative to 100 parts by weight of the acrylic rubber.
SLIDING ELEMENT, IN PARTICULAR PISTON RING, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SAME
A sliding element, in particular a piston ring, includes a base material of martensitic or austenitic stainless steel having a chromium content of at least 6.0% by mass and a nitrided layer having a surface hardness of up to 950 HV1. A method of producing such a sliding layer is also provided.
END SURFACE-CONTACT MECHANICAL SEAL
An end surface-contact mechanical seal that is configured so as to seal by means of a relative rotational sliding contact action of sealing end surfaces (5a, 6a) which are opposing end surfaces of a fixed sealing ring (6), which is fixed to a rotating shaft (4), and a movable sealing ring (5), which is held by a seal case (3) so as to be movable in an axial direction, the mechanical seal being provided with a flushing means (8) for discharging a flushing liquid (F) from a flushing passage (81) formed in the seal case (3) toward the relative rotational sliding contact portions (5a, 6a) of the sealing rings (5, 6), wherein coating layers (9a, 10a) and (9b, 10b), which are composed of a material having a higher heat conduction coefficient and hardness than the constituent material of the sealing rings (5, 6), are formed continuously on portions of the surfaces of the sealing rings (5, 6) where the flushing liquid (F) makes contact with and on the sealing end surfaces (5a, 6a), and the relative rotational sliding contact portions (5a, 6a) of the sealing rings (5, 6) are configured to be uniformly and sufficiently cooled by the flushing liquid (F) for their entire periphery.
Mechanical seal arrangement having sliding surfaces of different hardness
The invention relates to a mechanical seal arrangement comprising: a rotating slide ring (2) having a first slide surface and a stationary slide ring (3) with a second slide surface which between them define a sealing gap 4, wherein the first and second slide surfaces have different hardnesses, wherein the harder slide surface has a diamond coating (20) and the softer slide surface is produced from carbon composite material, and wherein an average initial roughness R.sub.a1 (of the diamond coating 20) is less than an average initial roughness R.sub.a2 of the slide surface made from carbon composite material.
