A discharge path is provided on a side wall section of the insertion path, and connects from the side surface of the side wall section to a section, of the insertion path, which is closer to an inflow opening through which flowing water is likely to flow than the seal part is to the inflow opening. The discharge path is structured in communication with a gap, formed between the outer circumference of the longitudinal member and the inner surface of the insertion path, which allows for inflow of flowing water along the direction in which the longitudinal member is inserted

A surgical instrument arrangement has a modular motor drive unit which has a drive arrangement having at least one output element, an instrument shaft that can be detachably connected to the drive unit, and a drive arrangement having at least one input drive element. The output drive arrangement and the input drive arrangement can be coupled to each other by a mechanical interface that has at least one single-sided linkage, a pin, and a cut-out, wherein the pin can be radially expanded in the cut-out. Alternatively, a gap may be formed between the pin and the cut-out, which gap is wavy in the radial direction, and in which a radially displaceable, axially fixed intermediate element arrangement is arranged. The surgical instrument arrangement may also include a sterile barrier, which is provided to envelop the drive unit and to be arranged between the drive unit and the instrument shaft.
METHOD FOR LUBRICATING STRAIN WAVE GEARING
A strain wave gearing has contact parts which are the portions to be lubricated other than the teeth of an externally toothed gear and an internally toothed gear, the contact parts being respectively lubricated with an inorganic lubricating powder having a lamellar crystal structure. The lubricating powder, during the operation of the strain wave gearing, is crushed between the contact surfaces of each of the contact parts to move and adhere to the contact surfaces, thereby forming thin surface films thereon. Additionally, the powder is thinly spread by pressure and reduced into finer particles to change into a shape which facilitates intrusion into the space between the contact surfaces. By both the fine particles having changed in shape and the surface films, the lubrication of the contact parts is maintained. Neither the fine particles nor the surface films are viscous.

A method for forming a seal boot includes forming a stack of discrete, non-intertwined layers by layering a sheet of elastomeric material with a fabric; rolling the stack to form a tube; installing the tube within a mold; closing the mold; and heating the mold and the installed tube.
Gasket
A gasket improves sealing performance. A gasket to be placed in an annular groove includes an annular base to be placed in the groove, and a plurality of protrusions arranged at intervals on the base in a circumferential direction of the base. The protrusions protrude from the base to face side surfaces of the groove and have support surfaces with curvatures corresponding to curvatures of the side surfaces of the groove. Each protrusion has a length in the circumferential direction greater than an interval between facing ends of adjacent ones of the protrusions in the circumferential direction.
Gasket
A gasket improves sealing performance. A gasket to be placed in an annular groove includes an annular base to be placed in the groove, and a plurality of protrusions arranged at intervals on the base in a circumferential direction of the base. The protrusions protrude from the base to face side surfaces of the groove and have support surfaces with curvatures corresponding to curvatures of the side surfaces of the groove. Each protrusion has a length in the circumferential direction greater than an interval between facing ends of adjacent ones of the protrusions in the circumferential direction.
Slider seal with non-circular puck geometry
An assembly is provided that includes a slider seal having a washer and a tubular puck. The washer includes an inner washer surface and an outer washer surface. The inner washer surface extends around an axis of the slider seal and has a non-circular cross-sectional geometry. The inner washer surface forms a washer bore axially through the washer. The outer washer surface extends around the axis and has a cross-sectional geometry with a shape that is different than a shape of the non-circular cross-sectional geometry. The tubular puck projects axially through the washer bore and includes an outer puck surface. The outer puck surface extends around the axis. The outer puck surface is sealingly engaged with and configured to slide axially along the inner washer surface.
Electrical switching device
An electrical switching device includes a kinematic chain, a first encapsulation housing, a movable switching contact piece and a fixed switching contact piece. The movable switching contact piece is movable by the kinematic chain which penetrates the first encapsulation housing in a fluid-tight manner. The kinematic chain penetrates the first encapsulation housing in a linearly movable manner.
Electrical switching device
An electrical switching device includes a kinematic chain, a first encapsulation housing, a movable switching contact piece and a fixed switching contact piece. The movable switching contact piece is movable by the kinematic chain which penetrates the first encapsulation housing in a fluid-tight manner. The kinematic chain penetrates the first encapsulation housing in a linearly movable manner.
