Ball joint and dust cover
Provided are a ball joint and a dust cover that make it possible to suppress contact of a body portion of the dust cover with the vicinity of a flange portion of a ball stud. A dust cover integrally includes: a deformable bellows-shaped body portion made of an elastic body; a fixed portion made of an elastic body and provided on one end side of the body portion; and a sealing portion made of an elastic body and provided on the other end side of the body portion. The sealing portion includes: an inner peripheral sealing portion configured to be slidable on a part of a shank portion on the opposite side of the shank portion from a spherical portion with respect to a flange portion; and a cover portion that continuously covers, in an outer wall surface of the flange portion, a radially outward tip end portion and a part of a portion that decreases in diameter from the tip end portion toward the spherical portion side.
INTEGRAL BELLOWS FOR OILFIELD EQUIPMENT
A bellows assembly for a downhole tool includes a first seal ring, a second seal ring, and a bellows positioned at least partially between the first and second seal rings. The first seal ring, the second seal ring, and the bellows are integral with one another such that the bellows assembly is monolithic. The bellows is configured to expand and retract. The bellows is annular and has a diameter that varies over a length of the bellows. A material composition of the bellows varies over the length of the bellows.
FOLDING BELLOWS FOR USE WITH A VEHICLE SUBASSEMBLY
A folding bellows for protecting an interior of the folding bellows effectively from environmental influences and managing pressure changes in the interior. The folding bellows having a gas-tight casing including a plurality of folds in an axial direction. Opposed front faces adjoining the casing. The front faces closed in a gas-tight manner. The casing having a wide region and a narrow region each formed of a plurality of folds with the outer cross-sectional surface of the folds in the wide region being larger than those in the narrow region. The folding bellows in one embodiment used with a motor vehicle subassembly.
Ball joint for a vehicle, in particular for an off-road vehicle
A ball joint (20) for a vehicle, in particular for an off-road vehicle. The ball joint (20) has a housing (21) and a ball stud (22) which is rotatably and pivotably mounted in the housing (21) and which, with a shaft (23), extends out of an opening of the housing (21). The housing opening is protected against unwanted penetration of dirt and/or moisture by f a seal bellows (25). The seal bellows (25) is surrounded in some areas by a bellows protection (30) in order to prevent damage to the seal bellows (25) due to mechanical influence.
Boot for constant velocity universal joint
A boot for a constant velocity universal joint includes large- and small-diameter mounting portions to be mounted to an outer joint member and a shaft, respectively, with boot clamps, a bellows portion integrally coupling the large- and small-diameter mounting portions to each other, and a cylindrical shoulder portion formed at a bellows portion-side end of the large-diameter-side mounting portion, and connected to the bellows portion through two auxiliary crest portions and one auxiliary trough portion between the auxiliary crest portions. A radial distance between each of the auxiliary crest portions and the auxiliary trough portion is shorter than a radial distance between a crest portion and a trough portion. A diameter passing through a center of the radial distance between each of the auxiliary crest portions and the auxiliary trough portion is larger than a diameter of the cylindrical shoulder portion.
Bellows, and at least one disc brake having a bellows
A rotationally symmetrical bellows has a first end ring and a second end ring with a smaller diameter, and multiple folds, which in a relaxed position each have two flanks running in opposite directions with respect to one another while forming a bend. The flanks extend approximately parallel to an axis of rotation of the bellows. The rotationally symmetrical bellows is designed such that in a relaxed position of the bellows, the second end ring is arranged at an axial distance to the first end ring.
PROTECTIVE BELLOWS AND TRANSMISSION JOINT PROVIDED WITH SUCH A BELLOWS
Disclosed is a protective bellows (1) in the form of a tubular body (2) open at each of its ends, the body (2) having two zones (3, 4) of differentiated cross-section, one (3) of the zones (3, 4) of smaller cross-section called the small base (3) of the body (2) and the other zone (4) of larger cross-section called the large base (4) of the body, the zones (3, 4) being separated from each other by a wall referred to as the deformable outer radial wall of the body (2), this wall (6) extending transversely to the longitudinal axis of the body (2). The outer radial wall (6) of the body (2) is provided, at its zone (12) connecting to the large base (4) of the body (2), with an outer peripheral groove (7) with an outer radial opening (8), this groove (7) having one of its sides (9, 10) and the bottom (11) of the groove (7) projecting from the face (61) of the deformable outer radial wall (6) turned towards the small base (3) of the body (2).
Irrigation boot assembly
The present invention provides an irrigation boot assembly for securing span pipes. According to a preferred embodiment, an irrigation boot assembly of the present invention may preferably include a center body portion formed as a laterally extending, hollow tube having a first side opening and a second side opening for receiving and securing connected span pipes. According to a further preferred embodiment, the irrigation boot assembly of the present invention preferably further includes securing straps extending around the first and second side openings. According to a further preferred embodiment, the center body portion of the present invention preferably further includes a plurality of bellows which each include a ridge portion extending above the surface of the center body portion.
BELLOWS, ITS USE AND METHOD FOR ITS MANUFACTURE
A bellows includes: an at least two-layer construction including at least a first layer and at least a second layer. In an embodiment, the layers are inseparably interconnected due to a manufacturing process of the layers. In an embodiment, the layers comprise different materials and/or have different densities. In an embodiment, at least one of the layers comprises a TPE material.
