Compressible suction cup having additional vacuum compartment, as well as lip, and bellows therefor
A suction cup for engaging and lifting an object is disclosed, comprising a lip, a bellows, and an upper portion sealingly connected to the bellows for connecting an inner volume of the suction cup to a source of vacuum, which cup, in an operative state, is capable of being locked in an at least partly compressed state of the lip and/or bellows. Locking is accomplished by air entrapped in a sealed exterior volume formed between the lip and bellows and/or between one or more segments of the bellows in an operative state being evacuated through one or more through open holes provided in the lip and/or bellows when vacuum is connected to the suction cup. A corresponding lip and a corresponding bellows for use in the suction cup are also disclosed.
Vehicle drivetrain system with a dual wall boot
A vehicle drivetrain includes a driveshaft, a driveshaft joint and a boot. The driveshaft joint is configured to be coupled to an end of the driveshaft. The boot is disposed over the driveshaft joint. The boot has an inner wall and an outer wall. The inner and outer walls are separated by an empty space.
Purging dust boot
A boot that protects a moveable joint and retains lubricant associated with the joint. The wall of the boot includes a venting aperture that is protected by a surrounding barrier structure.
Rotary compression-molding machine
A rotary compression-molding machine includes an upper punch-retaining portion disposed above a table including die bores and retaining an upper punch, a dust-proofing device including a sealing case including a bottom wall that includes an insertion bore penetrated by the upper punch and faces a downward surface of the upper punch-retaining portion, and an outer wall facing an outer surface of the upper punch-retaining portion, and supported by the upper punch-retaining portion, and an expandable dust cover attached to be in contact with a downward surface of the bottom wall of the sealing case and covering a circumferential edge of the insertion bore and an outer circumference of the upper punch, and air passages disposed between the outer wall of the sealing case and the outer surface of the upper punch-retaining portion.
POWER TAILGATE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY INCLUDING BELLOWS
Embodiments of an actuator assembly for a power tailgate system are disclosed. The actuator assembly includes an actuator having a housing, a guide with a first end extending from the housing and a second end opposite the first end, and a slide coupled to the guide so as to be movable with respect to the guide second end. The actuator assembly also includes a bellows having a first end attached to the guide first end, a second end opposite the first end and attached to an end of the slide, and a body extending between the first and second ends. At least one hole is formed in the bellows proximate the bellows second end and enables fluid communication between an interior of the bellows and an exterior of the bellows. The bellows may expel moisture collected therein during operation of the actuator.
Gaiter
A gaiter (4) for a lubricated joint (1) comprises a sidewall structure (9) defining an enclosure (5) for receiving a lubricant and a passageway (24) for conveying a gas. In use, the passageway (12) conveys gas in isolation from said enclosure (5). Gaiters (4) in accordance with the invention find application in vehicle central tire inflation systems (CTIS).
ACTUATOR HAVING AN INTERNAL CONDUCTIVE PATH
An actuator includes a piston and a housing. The piston includes a piston shaft that is configured to reciprocate within the housing. The actuator also includes a conductor coupled to the piston within the housing and configured to electrically couple the piston to the housing as the piston reciprocates within the housing.
Boot For A Socket Assembly
The improved dust boot includes a dust boot body which is made as one integral piece of an elastomeric material and extends from a first end portion to a second end portion. The second end portion of the dust boot body includes a first sealing portion and a second sealing portion which is spaced from the first sealing portion. The first sealing portion includes a plurality of ribs that are spaced circumferentially from one another by a plurality of grooves and includes a plurality of relief valves that are located in the grooves and extend away from the first end portion for allowing a lubricant to pass the first sealing portion in one direction and for restricting the passage of contaminants past the sealing portion in an opposite direction.
STEERING ACTUATOR
A steering actuator for rear axle steering of a motor vehicle has a spindle drive (5) which comprises pushrods (9) which are connected to a threaded spindle (16) and which are mounted in a housing (6) by means of plain bearings (18), allowing the passage of air, and are connected at each end thereof to an attachment element (12) provided for coupling to a chassis suspension arm, wherein a gaiter (19, 20) is connected on the one side to the housing (6) and on the other side to one of the attachment elements (12) in each case. Each plain bearing (18) is designed as a bearing allowing one revolution of the threaded spindle (16), wherein at least one longitudinal groove (21) abuts one guide bush (23) of the plain bearing (18).
Sealing bellows for a ball and socket joint comprising such a sealing bellows
A sealing bellows for a ball joint having a housing-side sealing area, a stud-side sealing area, and an outlet opening arranged between the sealing areas and which penetrates a wall of the sealing bellows. The outlet opening is open in the unassembled state of the sealing bellows. The outlet opening is closed in the assembled state of a ball joint. The sealing bellows and/or the ball joint can be used for a multi-point link, particularly a two-point link.
