The piston has an injection-molded membrane as a base, and the pin is connected to the membrane. The valve further includes a spring that rests against the membrane. The membrane is riveted to the pin.

A valve device includes a valve main body having a valve chamber, and inflow and outflow passages communicating with the valve chamber; an annular valve seat surrounding an opening from the inflow passage to the valve chamber; and a valve element moved to contact with and separate from the valve seat. One of the valve seat and the valve element includes a contact surface, and the other of the valve seat and the valve element includes an annular raised rib. The rib has at a top thereof an annular sealing part contacting the contact surface to provide sealing between the valve element and the valve seat. The sealing part includes an annular flat surface extending parallel to the contact surface, and two annular inclined surfaces provided adjacent to the flat surface on both sides and inclined to the flat surface to extend in a direction away from the contact surface.

The invention provides a method of, and means for, connecting components of a moveable sub-assembly in a fluid control valve. To control a dimensional characteristic of the moveable sub-assembly, a first component of the sub-assembly can be crimped to create a mechanical connection to a second component of the moveable sub-assembly. The sub-components may be configured such that in the absence of the crimp they can be moveably translated between a plurality of positions and they may be slideably translatable between a number of relative positions, while the crimp acts, once formed, to retain the sub-components in a chosen position relative to one another.

A connecting apparatus for the connection of a valve rod (4) to a closure member (1) of a vacuum valve, with a connecting body (12) which is arranged between a first connecting part (10) and a second connecting part (11). The connecting body (12) has a basic shape of a Steinmetz body which is formed by way of a intersection of two circular cylinders. The connecting body (12) is arranged in an intermediate space between arm projections (24, 25) of the first connecting part (10) and in an intermediate space between arm projections (26, 27) of the second connecting part (11). Corresponding bearing faces (28, 29, 30, 31) of the arm projections (24, 25, 26, 27) bear against bearing faces (13, 14, 15, 16) of the connecting body (12). The two arm projections (24, 25, 26, 27) of the respective connecting part (10, 11) approach one another towards their free ends.

Valve stem for choke valve

A valve stem includes a valve stem body connected to a valve stem head. The valve stem is for use with a choke valve. The valve stem body has first and second ends with an expandable valve stem tip extending from the second end of the valve stem body. The valve stem tip expands radially outwardly in an opening in the valve stem head to secure the valve stem head to the valve stem body.

Valve with Grooved Sleeve

A plug valve having a modular construction. The valve has a solid, single-piece body with two opposed openings interrupted by an internal chamber. The chamber houses a rotatable plug which selectively restricts or allows flow from one of the two openings to the other. Inserts partially surround the plug and have openings that corresponds to openings in the valve body and the plug. A seat with an end surface corresponding to each insert extends partially within each opening. A bolted-on flange extends from each side of the valve and has an internally placed sleeve which defines the flow path through the valve. The sleeve may seal against the seat at one of its ends. A non-planar groove may be formed in the end surface of each seat to seal the opening against each insert.
