Break check valve for hydrant

A break check valve includes a valve body defining a mating surface and a valve inner cavity; a pivot pin positioned inside the valve inner cavity and secured to the valve body, an axis of the pivot pin offset in a radial direction with respect to a longitudinal axis of the valve body; and a valve member positioned within the valve inner cavity and configured to rotate about the pivot pin from an open position to a closed position of the valve, the valve member comprising a plate and an arm extending from the plate, the valve member configured to remain in the open position of the valve as long as a mating surface of a hydrant remains in contact with the mating surface of the valve body and configured to close when the mating surface of the hydrant is separated from the mating surface of the valve body.

VACUUM BREAKER VALVE ASSEMBLY

A breaker valve assembly for a nuclear reactor containment includes a valve body, a valve body insert, and a lid. The valve body includes a first side wall defining a chamber, a first opening in a top portion of the first side wall, and a second opening in a bottom portion of the first side wall. The second opening communicates with the first opening of the valve body. The valve insert body includes a second side wall defining a second chamber, and a third opening in a bottom portion of the second side wall. The valve insert body is nested in the valve body. The lid is arranged on an upper edge of the side wall of the valve insert body. The valve insert body is configured to move substantially vertically with respect to the valve body.

Check Valves

The present disclosure relates to a rotary check valve, which utilises the rotation of a rotary element to open and close the valve, rather than pivoting of hinge flappers, such as in other check valve designs. The rotary element is rotatably mounted to a valve plate which features shrouded openings that define windows. A plurality of vanes extending from the rotary element are used to close or open the windows in response to a reverse or forward fluid flow, respectively. This action opens or closes the valve. This design may reduce the force exerted on the valve components when the valve opens and closes, when compared to a pivoting hinge flapper design.

Shuttle valve

The urinal is provided with a valve assembly that includes a first member mounted in the neck and a second member movably mounted in the first member to move between an open position relative to the first member to allow passage of urine therebetween for filling of the container and a closed position relative to the first member to block passage of urine therebetween and to contain the contents of the container.

INJECTION ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR
20170317478 · 2017-11-02 ·

A cable accessory for injecting fluid into a cable. The accessory has first and second ends configured to be coupled to the cable and an external cable accessory, respectively. The accessory has an injection port configured to introduce the fluid to a stranded conductor of the cable. The accessory may include a body and conductive rod. The body defines a through-channel configured to receive the conductor. The rod has a first portion that extends outwardly from the second end to be received inside the external cable accessory and to form an electrical connection therewith. The rod has a second portion configured to be coupled to the conductor and form an electrical connection therewith. The second portion (with the conductor coupled thereto) is positionable inside the through-channel with the first portion extending outward from the second end. The fluid is injectable into the conductor through injection port, which extends into the through-channel.

PILOT CHECK VALVE

A pilot check valve includes: a fluid channel body; a moveable body that moves in an axial direction under effects of pilot pressure; a packing including a lip portion that is displaceable, integrally with the moveable body, between a valve close position and a valve open position; and a detector to detect position of the moveable body. The packing, in the valve close position, allows flow of an operating liquid from a first port side of the fluid channel body to a second port side and prevents the flow of the operating liquid from the second port side to the first port side, and in the valve open position, connects the first port and the second port.

High-pressure fuel supply pump having electromagnetically-driven intake valve

Responsiveness is improved in valve opening and valve closing of an electromagnetically driven intake valve unit in which a valve is provided on a pressurizing chamber side of a valve seat. The valve includes an annular abutting surface that abuts the valve seat to shut off a fuel intake passage and a bottomed cylindrical part provided at an inner peripheral part of the annular abutting surface. The bottomed cylindrical part is inserted into a fuel introduction hole formed in the valve housing inside the valve seat, and the outer surface of an end part of the bottomed cylindrical part is exposed to fuel in a low pressure fuel chamber provided upstream of the fuel introduction hole.
