Inflatable object and valve therefor
In an aspect, an inflatable object includes an object body enclosing a chamber to receive air, and a valve mounted to the inflatable object body, including a valve body defining a passageway between the chamber and an ambient environment. The valve body has a shoulder. The valve body defines an outside end, which opens to the ambient environment, and an inside end, which opens into the chamber. The valve includes a one-way flap that is movable between an open position to permit fluid communication between the chamber and the ambient environment through the passageway, and a closed position. The one-way flap is biased to the closed position with a closing force selected to be overcomable to move the one-way flap to the open position by an airflow having a speed that is less than about 48 m/s, and which is at a pressure lower than 1 atmosphere.
Flap valve with improved retainer
A one-piece flap valve (150) comprising first and second portions hingedly connected to one another by a flexible strip, the first portion having a hingeable internal valve flap (152) and the second portion comprising an at least partially annular valve seat (154). The first and second portions being socket-fitted together by relative movement, such that the valve seat (54, 154) is spanned by the flap (152), the second portion comprising first and second legs (121a, 121b) having first and second locking lugs (127a, 127b) extending radially outwardly therefrom, the locking lugs for location within locking apertures (125a, 125b) of a tube body (10) of a dispenser. The flap valve (150) comprising a retaining mechanism configured and arranged such that once the flap valve is installed in a tube body of a dispenser, the retaining mechanism resists against radially inward displacement of the first and second legs.
Valve unit, filter head for a valve unit, and filter system
A valve unit has a plate-shaped valve body with a closure section and a connection section. The valve body has a cutout surrounded by a frame. The closure section has a closure tab that, beginning at a first fastening section at the frame, projects into the cutout. The connection section, beginning at a second fastening section at the frame, projects into the cutout and has a contact tab and a fastening point. The first and second fastening sections are arranged opposite each other at the frame along a longitudinal axis of the valve body. A filter head for the valve unit has a valve seat for a seal body of the closure section of the valve body. A fastening pin of the filter head fastens the connection section of the valve unit. A contact region of the filter head contacts a positioning region of the valve unit.
Valve for Controlling a Gas Stream, Liquid Separator, Venting System and Internal Combustion Engine Having Such a Valve
A valve for controlling a gas stream between a first side and a second side of the valve is described. A valve opening is passage for the gas stream between the first side and the second side. A valve closure with a valve plate closes the valve opening. A valve mount is arranged toward the second side and on which the valve closure is mounted. The valve closure is pretensioned in the direction of the first side to close the valve toward the second side by the valve plate. The valve plate has an opening element which can be opened toward the first side in the event of an overpressure on the second side.
CONVERTIBLE CHECK VALVE
A convertible check valve having a pair of valve body sections, each of which includes a central passageway extending through it is disclosed. Each passageway terminates at an elliptical port. A moveable flapper is located within the check valve between the valve body sections and is movable between a between a closed state and an opened state, and vice versa, to effect the selective closing and opening of the ports. The valve body sections are configured to be rotated 180 degrees with respect to each other so that they are in an either an axially aligned state or in an elbow state. The interface between the passageways is formed by two elliptical shaped planar surfaces, each extending at an angle of 45 degrees to the central axis of the associated passageway. The valve also includes a pressure relief assembly.
Low flow controller
A flow controller can include a conduit wall and a membrane coupled to the conduit wall. The membrane is configured to obstruct gas flow through the conduit. The flow controller includes a membrane controller, positioned adjacent to the membrane, wherein the membrane is positioned on one side of the membrane controller, such that the membrane controller impedes bending of the membrane in a second direction different from the first direction, thereby restricting gas flow through the conduit.
VALVE DEVICE
A valve device includes: a hollow member having a through-hole with an axis, an internal surface delimiting the through-hole, a peripheral surface delimiting the hollow member's transverse extent with respect to the axis, and at least one deformation zone deformable to reduce the transverse extent when compression forces act on the peripheral surface, the deformation of the deformation zone moving the hollow member from a rest to a use state, and at least one closure portion extending radially from the hollow member inside the through-hole up to a respective free edge, in contact with the internal surface of the hollow member and/or with at least one free edge of another closure portion occluding the through-hole when in use. The at least one closure portion includes a flexible membrane, foldable when subjected to a fluid and/or solid pressure which moves in the through-hole along the axis, thereby defining a passage.
Pressure relief valve
An apparatus for use in venting a compartment in a vehicle includes a housing which at least partially defines an air flow passage. A valve element moves from a closed condition to an open condition to enable air to flow through the air flow passage. The valve element has an inner surface facing the air flow passage when the valve element is in the closed condition. The valve element has an outer surface opposite the inner surface facing away from the air flow passage when the valve element is in the closed condition. A spring wire deflects as the valve element moves from the closed condition toward the open condition and is effective to urge the valve element toward the closed condition. The spring wire extends in a straight line from the housing to the inner surface of the valve element when the valve element is in the closed condition.
Device having a flow channel, a nonreturn valve, and a flow detector that detects a position of the nonreturn valve
A device having a flow channel for a fluid has a nonreturn valve arranged in the flow channel, the nonreturn valve allowing the fluid to flow through the flow channel in a first direction and preventing it from flowing through the flow channel in a direction counter to the first direction. The device furthermore has a flow detector for detecting the flow of the fluid through the flow channel, wherein the flow detector detects a change in the nonreturn valve. This detected change serves as an indicator for the flow of the fluid. The device enables simplified flow detection, in that a nonreturn valve that is present is used as an indicator.
