CHECK VALVE ASSEMBLY

A check valve assembly for a supply pipe. The check valve assembly includes a hinge pin, a first flapper, and a second flapper. The first flapper is pivotally coupled to the second flapper with the hinge pin. The check valve assembly also includes a stopper located between the first flapper and the second flapper. The stopper is configured to limit movement of the first flapper and the second flapper. The check valve assembly further includes a plate assembly located downstream of the stopper. The plate assembly is configured to break vortices formed in a fluid flow across the first flapper and the second flapper.

A check valve includes a housing defining a pair of valve openings, a pair of flappers pivotably mounted to a pin and such that they are configured to rotate relative to the housing between an open position in which they permit fluid flow through the valve openings and a closed position in which they prevent fluid flow through the valve openings, and an element configured to stop and hold the flappers in the open position. A cavity is formed between the pair of flappers and stop element when the flappers are in the open position. Each of the flappers comprise one or more contact surfaces configured to contact the stop element when in the open position. The stop element has stop surfaces with stationary contact areas configured to oppose and abut the flapper contact surfaces when the flappers are in the open position.

A check valve includes a valve body defining a valve bore extending from a first axial end to a second axial end, the valve body including an annular body and a cross member secured to and extending across the valve bore from the annular body on one side of the valve body to the annular body on an opposite side of the valve body, the valve bore at the cross member divided into more than one portion by the cross member; a position block extending from the cross member; a valve member positioned within the valve body and configured to rotate between an open position and a closed position; and a pivot pin extending from the valve member, engaged with the position block, and fixed with respect to the valve member; the valve member and the pivot pin configured to rotate together between the open position and the closed position.

Break check valve for hydrant

A break check valve includes a valve body defining a mating surface and a valve inner cavity; a pivot pin positioned inside the valve inner cavity and secured to the valve body, an axis of the pivot pin offset in a radial direction with respect to a longitudinal axis of the valve body; and a valve member positioned within the valve inner cavity and configured to rotate about the pivot pin from an open position to a closed position of the valve, the valve member comprising a plate and an arm extending from the plate, the valve member configured to remain in the open position of the valve as long as a mating surface of a hydrant remains in contact with the mating surface of the valve body and configured to close when the mating surface of the hydrant is separated from the mating surface of the valve body.

A check valve comprises a valve housing defining a pair of valve openings, a pair of mounting posts arranged on opposed sides of the valve housing, a hinge pin mounted between said mounting posts, a pair of flapper elements pivotably mounted to the one or more hinge pins for rotation relative to the housing between an open position in which they permit fluid flow through the respective valve openings and a closed position in which they prevent fluid flow through the valve openings. A pair of elastically deformable leaf spring stop elements, each of which comprise respective end portions that are mounted to, and extend upwardly from, said mounting posts and a stop portion arching upwardly from, and extending between said end portions, such that each flapper element will engage a respective surface of said stop portion when in the open position.

The valve openings are separated by a web which extends from one side of the valve body to an opposed side of the valve body. The valve body and web define sealing surfaces around the valve openings on one face of the valve housing. The web comprises a slot extending into the web from a face thereof on said one face of said valve housing and extending along a length of the web.

A check valve comprises a valve housing defining a valve opening and a pair of posts arranged on opposed sides of the valve opening. A hinge pin is mounted between the posts. A pair of flapper elements are pivotally mounted to the hinge pin for rotation between a closed position in which they close the valve opening to prevent fluid flow through the opening, and an open position in which they permit fluid flow through the opening. The check valve further comprises a unitary element having at least one washer portion received on the hinge pin and at least one stop portion for forming a stop for engaging the flapper elements in their open position.

Aircraft low clearance fluid check valve

A fluid check valve for use in an aircraft fluid handling system having a confined surrounding structure where a first distance is defined between a fluid duct and the surrounding structure where the design of the fluid check valve is configured to facilitate removal of a first flange and the flow duct by moving the first flange and flow duct a second distance that is less than the first distance. The check valve is offset into the upstream side of a second flange to provide the reduction in the distance that the first flange has to be displaced to remove the first flange and flow duct from the check valve. A first alternate configuration of the fluid check valve utilizes rotational stops attached to the downstream surface of the flow flaps and in a second alternate embodiment configuration, rotational stops extend upstream from the flow flaps.

FLAPPER CHECK VALVE BUMPER

The hinge allows the flap to rotate relative to the housing between a fully open position and a closed position. The at least one tubular bumper is movable with the flap and configured to contact the at least one post when the flap pivots to the fully open position.
